Need Help with a tmnt old game

hello

a friend is trying to play ms dos tmnt manhattan missions

how do you fight/attack
he cannot figure it out
he hit alt space and shift keys to change from one mode to fight mode and it didnt work

he wants to play it but hes having trouble and can only throw shruikens

basically here is what he said

he doesnt know how to attactk

has anybody here played this game

ive only seen youtube videos and it looks like a lotta fun from a spectators perspective
