Seems more "canon-adjacent" like the Batman crossovers where certain details match the current IDW status quo (Jennika and New York's mutants being exposed) but others most likely won't. (Especially if we get a psycho-powered still-a-bad-guy Shredder like one of the future covers seems to imply.)

aND IT RELEASES just 6 days after the game! Those you got it coem and fight me. I also started playing in Friday. But there is a problem with capcom and Steam link. While i created capcom ID account when i click Link Steam then it says that it will sent me a verification email but it still not here. I did it again and 5 days passed and the email is not here. Which means until they fix the problem and i can link steam with capcom id i cant play online. But iam sure they will fix it soon.

Is it just me, or the fight scenes look so lame and disappointing.

This was all kinds of a mess. I didn't expect it to be good but a fun diversion for someone like me who loved the older Street Fighter games.

The Street Fighter mythology at this point far eclipses even the dumbest version of TMNT in being goofy but this is set in the SFII era which was at least semi serious when Blanka was probably the most unrealistic character and treated as such and yet we have the turtles walking round Vegas interacting with humans like the Fred Wolf show. Also strange that they used the IDW turtles for this, wouldn't it have been cool to base the TMNT characters on those from Tournament Fighters. It would make sense why they'd take place in the street fighter tournament and you could even rope in some of the other characters from that game. I also thought the characterisation of the SF characters to be kinda shallow, like that crappy American made animated series they did back in the day.

TF versions are primarily based on Archie versions, which means they are not really distinct from their FW counterparts.

Street Fighter crossover is fine, it's not something that is too odd for TMNT to do especially since this is non-canon anyway.

I thought the concept was good execution not so much, like Guile is known for a few things, flash kick, sonic boom his kick where he flips upside down yet this fight had none of it, it was more like wrestling match then anything. Same with Chun Li versus Mikey, it also was in a ring instead of being like a martial arts tournament which felt wrong, at least it ends with Raph getting into a street fight hopefully they actually go all in with the SF moves next

Would Street Fighter fans even know who Jennika is? As I’ve posted earlier, she hasn’t exactly been the hot new character that they were hoping for. Wouldn’t have made more sense from a marketing point of view to bring in someone like Alopex or Karai instead?

I don't think two audiences are even intersect in any way shape or form.

Mortal Kombat crossover with TMNT would have been much more hype, especially after Turtles appearance in Injustice 2.

i mean, i loved street fighter for years, but i don't know the lore or character connections, so those characters all fell flat for me anyway. It's just an all around bad book. No fault of the creators, but it's such a dumb crossover I don't know how they could have possibly made it anything other than bad.

Finally got around to reading this. It's a good start up, though the characterization of the Street Fighters just feels off. Not only that but unless the tournament rules prohibit it, it seems the SF characters don't have their special moves. It's odd cause without them, the SF guy are just regular guys the Turtles are fighting.

It felt like whoever the writer was only played Street Fighter a couple of times, or only watched the cartoons and live action movie. Especially now that I'm seeing the Shadaloo Soldiers from the movie in the issue 3 preview.

Another argument against Jennika is that she outnumbers the street fighters. 5 turtles against 4 street fighters? They should have left her out or use her as an excuse to throw in Blanka or maybe even Cammy as a fifth for the SF side. I mean who is Jennika gonna face? If she's just there to watch, then why even come along.

I like the premise of this crossover, but yes - Jennika is in it and broke the 4v4 dynamic that would've made the comic better.

Heck, I can't help but feel that the idea of adding Jennika was to push the female turtle angle more. If they REALLY wanted to push the extra characters from IDW Turtles at the time, they could've just waited until Alopex was still on the team (Cammy Vs. Alopex would've been awesome) or just add another street fighter (Also Cammy, but Zangief could've helped, too).

Late to the party, but yeah it absolutely stunk. Just powered through it finally. Boring!

The art was ok but nothing memorable. It drove me insane how Jennika had normal length mask tails, but the 4 boys’ were obnoxiously short.

I guess this actually hits if you’re a Street Fighter fan? It was never really my thing. I was more into Mortal Kombat, Killer Instinct and Power Stone growing up. And Tournament Fighters of course… which didn’t seem to get referenced at all in this story. Kinda weird.

Idk why IDW didn't work with Udon for this one.
