Someone on DeviantArt did a similar story years before:

So I guess all we are missing is a modern old man Leo story.

So long as it doesn’t involve human/turtle romance

So in the end was Raph still in the present day when the Foot attacked him? I assume?

Kinda disappointing as I would have thought Old Raph would talk more about their future. Ironically, Raph told him to remember the Splinter's word, but Raph was actually not qualified to say that. A leopard cannot change its spots.

At least we know Armaggon really is some kind of giant space god shark.

I like the art of cover, first and last pages. All those pages in the middle, not much.

Maybe it was Karai's minions try to capture him. But how did they find him?

Geez, I really think IDW needs to move away from all the time travel shenanigans. After the Pantheon, it's probably the second-most done bit in the book. There was some good stuff in this issue and the art was pretty cool, some great shots of the brothers all together, but are we really ramping up for another "you must prevent this future!" arc? :ohwell:

I thought it was decent. I liked the deception from Raph. It adds some depth to why Donnie is so focused in 140 and 141. I think it’s a promising start to the next arc.

They've repeated Splinter's lesson and importance of family bonds many times. But in the end, they quarreled and separated again because of the plot. It's really annoying.
It was a fun one-shot and is adding to a building story, but i would have liked it to be a bit more world-breaking or just something CRAZY. Especially with Last Ronin, seeing an older version of one of the brother's isn't as crazy an idea anymore.

I enjoyed this a lot. This and the 2022 annual were both pretty good but don’t really get talked about.
I quite liked the callbacks to the early days, especially Splinter and Raph’s relationship. You can tell the writer was a longtime fan of this run, as opposed to the garbage era of volume 2 where they just do whatever with little regard for the past. Which is infuriating, because they could just reboot and not be tied down by 15 years of continuity. But what do I know?

I'm not sure if they still have any plan for this future Raph, or ignored him because of some inexplicable contradictions in the story.
There are still some questions about this character:
- Who are these ninjas? If they are Foot ninja, then who sent them? Karai or someone else? Why they did attack him?
- Did the changes in spacetime affect him after the Amagon event?
Honestly, even v2 book is not the reboot; Jason Aaron just ignored most of the content and make the new.
