Wow, guys!

At San Diego Comic Convention yesterday the IDW Turtles panel revealed that Erik Burnham and Mateus Santolouco are working on a "spiritual successor" to Secret History of the Foot Clan! A new mini-series called "The Untold Destiny of the Foot Clan", starring Karai, Casey Jones, B&R, Zodi and Krisa, Natsu and the punk frog Clyde! What an amazing anouncement and showing off of art.

Well The Last Ronin isn't in this continuity, even though they could technically do similar things.

Good to see the Karai parts at the end of Armaggedon game continue. I still hope Karai remains "good" though as it would undo a lot of development for her and her minions.

Seeing Casey Jones in the foot clan honestly feels like a long time coming for once.

He's one of my favorites and the Punk Frogs were easily influenced by him recently, but the foot clan is recruiting quite a bit of power players on their side and since Casey Jones isn't being touched upon by Raphael lately, it would be interesting to see Casey Jones's influence in the Foot Clan. Will he become more like them? or will the Foot Clan be more like him? I could see Karai having a sorta power struggle with him down the road because of how much laid back he is compared to the others, which something tells me the others in the foot clan might mingle with.

My only question would be Zodi. Something tells me her and Casey are not going to get along at all, but they might share a sorta survival/work mentality.

As for Last Ronin II, I re-read what got posted, and it was a prediction based on certain things known, and not confirmed yet. So it could still hit December.

The book was going to be bimonthly because Mateus is taking 2 months to draw each issue to his satisfaction.

The release was shifted to allow for a monthly release. (Still ends in July either way, but a shorter wait between chapters.)

Now this comic is what I’m actually looking forward to the most this year in the TMNT franchise. More than issue the current mainline comic and just edging it past The Last Ronin II.

I generally don't understand how this mini-series will exist post issue 150 with a new writer doing his own thing in the main series. I know they greenlit this months ago but it's going to conflict a lot.
