Alot going on in this edition. Strap yourselves in.

Leo convinces Carmen, Bob and Jennika to stay behind while the rest rush Dr. Barlow's base. However, Dr. Barlow shows he ain't messing around. Lots of good action and art.

In the meantime ~ Alopex, getting bandaged and treated by Raph, realizes that what she was doing with the weasels was worse than what Old Hobs was doing with the weasels. Raph apologizes for the whole Armaggedon thing with Shredder and decides to stay away from this fight to prioritize Alopex's wellbeing.

This issue was really good, one of the best in a long time. The artwork is fantastic, especially during the dream/hallucination sequences. Whatever IDW does they need to keep this artist around, he is fantastic. The plot moved at a good pace and every character was used well. This is our first real shot at seeing Venus in action and I really liked her here. In this one issue I liked Venus more than Jennika for the past 50+ issues.

Leatherhead was cool, Groundchuck/Dirtbag fusion, and Dr. Jasper Barlow has actually become a very entertaining villain. I never expected it because he felt like some underling to Rat King at first, but I'm interested to see what becomes of him.

So Raph and Alopex have kissed and made up?

So why did they stop try to figure out other ways? When Splinter lead the Foot Clan, the Turtles didn't agree with their father's decision and believed there was always other way, and they found it.

It's still kind of dumb to have a character openly state how moronic and nonsensical their actions were for the last dozen issues. There was no reason for the behavior of some character before or after AG. We know they're still going to split up and repeat same mistakes in the next issue, so it's really pointless.

This was actually good seems like this future arc should be coming to a end.

In all fairness... it seems like they have to hammer down that when even one of the turtles doesn't communicate properly, things go wrong. Most of the time it's Raph or Leo, but in this case, it's Donatello.

Also, I'm pretty certain Leo understands that this time, children were involved and he couldn't wait. Dirtchuck also didn't look like someone that he could talk to, so he did what he thought was the best option.

Also Leonardo performed a Mortal Kombat-type fatality on Groundchuck/Dirtbag. This was a great issue all around.

Not sure if the Turtles have been allowed to kill villains in main series now. Before this, Leo even don't want to kill a demon. Perhaps this Frankenstein-like monster was dead before, but the dragon scale's power keep it alive.

Just read this issue today, Its nice to see Alopex and Raph patching things up after the Armageddon Game.

Nick might be lenient about them killing "monsters" and "cyborgs," but definitely there is a "Turtles can't kill people" mandate that has always been in place since IDW TMNT began.

Well this issue was a lot better than the last two at least...

Like some of the plot points in the past couple issues have just been abosolute eyeroll-inducing cringe. Leo bursting into Donnie's study prompts an actual fight? Jesus Christ come on, that is a new low as far as manufactured drama and action goes

Wasn't a fan of the indoor fighting as well, but the part I got a chuckle out of is Donatello's lab coat.

Once he put that on, that was it - he's gone total recluse. X3

The writers waste of 20+ issues to keep the turtles together, but now they fight once more, refuse to trust each other for no reason.:trolleye:
