can anyone confirm the legitimacy of an OG krang that has not the regular yellow eyes but light red eyes with white dots for pupils? A collector I know wants to trade this item (MOMC) for my no press April (MOMC). I've seen it in person and it looks real, but she said that she got it at a convention in 1990 and that it could be a fake. Of course I would prefer it to be a test shot or production error ect....I don't think its a boot but someone could have opened the toy painted it then put it back...

I don't have any pictures (because I was there) but I can say that it looked very real. though the plastic was very matte and clearly not painted if that means anything?

I get the feeling that if it is real its a one off. like a testshot or something. I rang my friend and asked if she could remember anything else. She said that the person she brought it off at the convention (in not so many words) stole it from either the design studios or the production line, but she doesn't remember since it was over 10 years ago.

Here is a variant I bet no one knew...I have about 8 Krangs and 3 of them have no veins on his head where the rest do. I thought that was kinda weird. They are not rubbed off either, they were never there....anyone have more info on this?

no veins on the sculpt or no blue colour? if its no veins on the sculpt then I'd love to see it. if its no colour I have had them before. I seem to remember that it was the 89 reissue run that was missing veins some of the time? cheap production?

The reason for this is that a Krang came in the carded version by himself, and also came with the Krang Android body
cuz I remember that variance too

I have a Kraang without any veins on his body too. I got it at a cloocetor's fair with his bubble chair loose but assumed it was the one that came from the Android body and it got mis-matched with the chair.

Does the android one have vein's?

EDIT: Realised my question had already been answered.

Now i feel kinda stupid..... :(

Krang with red eyes and white pupils...this I MUST see! If there's ever a picture of it, please someone post it...I'd like to see this. Of course it sounds like this one was just a one-time thing, never done anymore than a single of?

Instead of making a new post I thought i'd bring this topic back to life with a new discovery (well new to me anyway).

Bought a box of TMNT figures recently and found a Kraang that had really dark yellow eyes but with a very mild red/pink tint towards the back of the eyes. I thought I'd compare him with my other Kraang's and noticed somthing different as well. His arms were on the wrong way (eg his left arm on the right side and his right arm on the left side) and I noticed also that my Android body Kraang (the one without veins) had his arms on the wrong way too. I also noticed that the dark-eyed Kraang didn't have the ring at the bottom of his body like the original Kraangs and that the Android body Kraag was the same which leads me to believe this Kraang came after the Android version and was moulded from that.

Then I decided to compare the weapons together as well.

Unfortunately I mixed most of the weapons up and can't tell which weapons belonged with which figure.

First I inspected the gun which I noticed that the very front peg near the suction cap was smaller than my other Kraangs peg. The smaller peg belonged with the new dark eyed Kraang I got.

The hoses were different too, one was a fraction shorter and darker, which hose belonged to which Kraang I don't know.

With the robotic arms, I noticed that the hexagonal holes in each set were positioned differewntly and one mould was more cleaner cut, which arm set belonged with which Kraang, I don't know either.

And the chair and bubble was where I noticed the most significant change. The holes where the bubble attached on the chair on one were twice as large as the other and had a bubble with twiice as large pegs to match. This allowed for the bubble to close over Kraangs brain a lot easier then the smaller version which closed down awkwardly. Also the shade of red paint on the chairs were different, the chair with smaller pegs being darker. The chair with the smaller bubble joints has the robotic arm pegs rounded down.

Which chair belonged with which Kraang I'm unsure of as I mixed these up too.
The date stamps are positioned differently too but that was to be expected.

So if anyone is aware of this variation, could they please let me know what weapons set belongs with which Kraang and any other information on the variation would be much appreciated.

Thankyou!

EDIT: Also noticed the hole was a lot bigger on the bottom of the figure, and the explanation for no ring, I can actually fit my little finger right in there with the dark eyed Kraang whilst I can't do that with the regular one.
