Great book. I caught only one misprint but otherwise it's very clean. Some of the pacing felt a little rushed, but in all fairness so did the original series. Altogether, it felt like the true and authentic finale to the Archie series.

- Was Rat King's "secret origin" something that was established "way back in the day" by the original creators, or something you guys came up with? An interesting twist, regardless.

Thanks to all involved for their amazing work.

Thank you for the top marks!

Chapters three through five were written entirely by us. The only thing we relied on were the covers, and thus linked the appearance of Rat King to a character in the second issue.

I was as surprised as everyone else probably was about the Rat King's origins here when I got the synopsis originally to work from. But pleasantly surprised. It actually works out pretty neatly in this universe. It makes me actually wish it could work in, say, Mirage, but it can't. Mostly because of Turtle Soup.

I guess there is no need to put in spoilers if its in the thread title so...

What is the furtherest point that Shredder gets before he is stuck in a loop? There is the 1988 lead-in mini-series and then #1-4. He meets up with Armaggon at the end of #4 and then jumps to #36,42-44 then #73-77 before going through #5-#13 and 20-25? However Null visits Shredder in jail which would be between #13 and #20. Please clear me up on this if you all would.

Who's idea was it to make Chet The Rat King? He went by Ha'ntaan in his two previous appearances.

Also, what made Sarnath side with Shredder in the revised history?

That's it for now, I will have more once I let it all sink in.

BTW, did someone ever notice that funny fact from TMNTA Sourcebook? That was one of the arguments in writing the script.

Please reread backup story, drawn by Jim. It's expained there well, with all the footnotes to specific issues. Shredder didn't stuck in a loop, basically.

Who's idea was it to make Chet The Rat King? He went by Ha'ntaan in his two previous appearances.

The idea to make Chet as Rat King is Artyom's (AlZarkovski here) in general and mine (concerning details). He calls himself Ha'ntaan, yes, but that's the name the rats will give him later.

Also, what made Sarnath side with Shredder in the revised history?

Shredder has conquered him.

Shredder meeting up with Armaggon a second time is what confused me because I thought it was just once. When is the second time? As mentioned the first time was after #4, was it after #25? So Shredder is jailed a second time?

Just reread it, man) It's pretty clear there. The furtherest point for Shredder is the jail, after that he met Null and remembered everything. You could consider this as open ending for a possible another battle with Shredder in The Year of the Turtle.

So Shredder was with Baxter, ran into Armaggon, somehow came back for issue 5 and onwards until he gets locked up in jail after The Final Conflict, right?

So do all the adventures with Shredder happen in a way that he comes back in time to get locked in jail after The Final Conflict?

Not "somehow" but due to the events of The Forever War, yes.

Yes, exactly.

Shredder has traveled back in time several times.

1. Events from "Return of the Shredder" and "The incredible shrinking of the Turtles" (#01 - #04)

2. He travels to the future with Armaggon

3. Shredder travels through time, but accidentally ends up in the timeline of issue #18.

4. He cannot return to the future and tries to destroy the Turtles (issues #20 - #25)

5. After his defeat in issue #25, Shredder is taken into the future by Armaggon

6. Shredder travels back in time again, but now with Verminator X (issues # 35 and #36)

7. Events of issues #42 - #44

8. Shredder finds a time controller in a military warehouse

9. Events of the "Forever War"

10. Shredder travels back in time (in the timeline of end of issue #4) and loses his memory.

11. Events of issues #5 - #12

12. Shredder goes to jail.

So in regards to Ninjara and Raph ever getting back together…

I assume that’s still a no?

If so, darn shame. First thing I did after finally getting the book in the mail (THANK YOU by the way!) was flip right to the end to see Raph and Umeko make up and become a couple again. To my disappointment, they didn’t. Oh, well, you can’t get everything you want in life. :)

So when he killed himself from an earlier point it's after #25 which would explain how Shredder is not lose, but in jail after #13.

In-story it's noticeable that The Shredder is older. Should there have been a visual difference between the two to show that since other characters could tell?

I was expecting Armaggon to be involved somehow. What shall we say is his fate? Trapped in the far future with no way back to his present?

Shredder killed the early self only in an alternate 'bad' reality that was completely erased by the Turtles. In the real storyline, Shredder remains where he was stunned (this is shown at the end). And the Shredder who fought the Turtles replaces the one taken away by Armaggon.

I was expecting Armaggon to be involved somehow. What shall we say is his fate? Trapped in the far future with no way back to his present?

Armaggon returns from the distant future in the Merdude trilogy, in the finale of which he is thrown into an unknown time and space with a damaged generator unable to travel again. So it was inappropriate to bring him back.

This is impossible if we count (and we do!) Ninjara: Seed of Destruction as canon, in which Ninjara has a child from Mokoshan. She hasn't dealt with Turtles since 'Moon Eyes Saga'.

Got mine in on Saturday and just finished reading it. Fantastic finale and a great job by all who worked on it. (Especially Chris Allan for his always-fantastic artwork.) I really loved how, despite being mostly fan-written, it felt extremely authentic to the rest of the series. I could've easily have seen the Forever War being printed in this exact form back in the day in another timeline (heh), except maybe with a bit or two toned down if Archie was still paying attention at that point. Feels great to finally have it resting on my shelf alongside IDW's Adventures trades. (Which will hopefully be replaced by more complete Omnibuses starting next year.)

One random thing that amused me was Umeko initially thinking that Splinter was a dog instead of a rat. Not even some characters in-universe buy that Chris Allan's Splinter is supposed to be a rat.

If you're referring to the handful of bits of -- sometimes reallygraphic violence, that was Allan. It was definitely written in such a way that any sort of blood or brutal this or that would have been off-panel or just implied. Definitely the plan was always to make it tonally and "rating" wise the same as Archie would have in the 90s. But Allan didn't hold back! :)

We start of the Adventures continuity with the first seven episodes being adapted. Then shift to Man Ray's debut with new stories and along with it the concept of Dimension X being a neighboring galaxy not a separate dimension. Would this change, at least retroactively be caused by Shredder's manipulation of the timestream?

It was hesitation to tell alternate future Rat King that he is evil in the actual timeline. Just to clarify in his appearances in #11 and #43 & 44 this is Chet no timeline alterations?

In the end all deaths would be undone so why would Victor Gorlick nix it for being too dark? The Mutanimals were unceremoniously killed with a few others sprinkled in and he did not seem to have a problem.

Yes, it is. Just look at the difference between Turtles' origin in the first Archie TMNT issue and in #45 (with a comparison of The Forever War events):

That's the point at which Archieverse was born.

Yes, Rat King is Chet in all timelines, it's just later events with him are different, resulting in different adult versions of him.

Ah, thanks.

I see that Baxter Stockman was able to escape and never be heard from again. I assumed he was picked up by the police and returned to the asylum, especially since his inclusion in 3(1988 ) and#1-4 was due to the episode adaptations and never used again beyond Armaggon pulling Shredder out of the timeline in his escape in #4.

The main reason for taking Baxter out of the story was to distance from the animated series as much as possible - Steve completely removed the Technodrome, for example. So, the fate of Baxter is currently unknown.

Finished reading it, the book is very well done and the art is as good as ever. The time travel stuff did get confusing as it went on, and I assume the Jim Lawson back-up was intended to explain it all. I guess it sorta works, but it is what it is. Some random thoughts:

- Really liked Rat King being Chet.

- Nice to see Archie's Foot Super Soldiers again. They look so different than every other Foot robot in a TMNT series it's funny they stand out.

- The Mutanimals fight scene was really short, I know the original comics were like this too, but I wish it went on more than like...2 pages.

- I don't really get the character of "Claire." At first I thought she was a character in the Archie series I had forgotten about, but no, she seems all-new. I guess we're getting a sequel to this about April having a sister? Also why not name her Robyn like in Mirage instead of giving her a random name?

Now I have to say, it really seems "out of character" for Shredder to be this violent. I know Archie Shredder wasn't the slapstick goofball that Fred Wolf Shredder was, but due to the limitations of 90's kid comics, we never saw Archie Shredder be that violent either. I just don't see Shredder slicing Krang in half (that was likely Andrew taking that from his fan comic he made when he was 10 years old), but then Shredder also killing his younger self? LOL, what? Shredder going as far to kill his younger self when he already had him captured in the future made no sense. I can understand him possibly thinking he had no use for him, but why not just send him back to the past or anywhere? He just seemed way too violent to me, something I could not see happening if the "Forever War" was published in the 90's for example. This Shredder was a maniac and didn't seem like the same guy we saw in the original Archie series either.

But it's a minor complaint really, as this is done without having to stick with 90's kid-friendly comic standards. And giving Shredder his memories back in jail seems like an interesting twist, even if it may not lead anywhere. Even the Shredder in "Year of the Turtle" didn't seem that nuts, lol

I mean, Krang did take over his body. I'm sure other than the Archie comics censors, the only reason Shredder didn't kill him then and there after the Turtles saved him is because he was already exhausted and worn out from the whole ordeal.

Shredder didn't kill his younger version before just because he was afraid he might disappear himself. However, when the Turtles appeared, he experimented by killing the regular turtles he took from Chet. TMNT didn't disappear, so he decided to get rid of the young version of himself as well. Shredder does not need competitors, he wants to rule alone.

As for the excessive violence, the script spelled it all out "behind the scenes" as Andrew said above, but eventually it was up to Chris. Well, we didn't have any license restrictions, so it came out the way it did.

Even the Shredder in "Year of the Turtle" didn't seem that nuts, lol
Are you sure? He killed two armies by his own hands. Just because we weren't shown him tearing someone apart doesn't mean it wasn't happen in the process.

To the writer of the fanmade take of the forever war, I read the comic, and its good ,

Because as it turns out the fanmade take of the forever war ends with both an open ending and an adventure's continue ending without a final resolve as in a grand finale ending , but I can deal with it as comics like this back then don't need a finite conclusion and even if the forever war receives an official conclusion and was never cancelled, the archieverse turtles will always go for more adventures and storyarcs.

But there are few questions i want you to answer

https://i.imgur.com/OJvZAEX.jpegthat black person as shown in the picture alongside Claire (who spoiler alert is April sisters that never exist in the main timeline) Who was he, is he meant to Leonardo's future student Miles or could be the character from the red sky seasons of the 1987 turtles animated series ,Carter? If he is , was he originally intended to be included in the forever war original concept or you guys add him for a reason?

Another question, how do you come up with the idea of adding Claire April's never existed sister in the forever war storyline ?

And lastly I need to point out one error in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Adventures 76 or part 4 of the forever war , in part 3 or issue 75 Claire during her near death still wears her eyepatch https://i.imgur.com/RZJJSKS.jpegbut in part 4 or issue 76 https://i.imgur.com/rMxZ4lm.jpeg,she doesn't have an eyepatch it could be an error ,right

I hope you will answer them.

Thanks! Actually, The Forever War has a very specific ending. Two backup stories have open endings, yes, and everyone can interpret them in their own way. Of course, the Archiverse has not ceased to exist, and there will certainly be new adventures ahead for the Turtles.

There is no connection with Miles. At least, nothing we know. Both Carter and Claire debuted in The Forever War.

Another question, how do you come up with the idea of adding Claire April's never existed sister in the forever war storyline?
Nothing I can say at the moment.

And lastly I need to point out one error in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Adventures 76 or part 4 of the forever war , in part 3 or issue 75 Claire during her near death still wears her eyepatch? but in part 4 or issue 76, she doesn't have an eyepatch it could be an error, right
Yes, unfortunately, that point was missed amidst all the edits. But since there are jumps in the story, we can assume that it was removed between the boat and the meeting with the Rat King. Just like Ninjara's shoes - she just took them off to run faster.

Okay then two more questions then

1. Since you admit that the eyepatch missing in part 4 or issue 76 is an edit error, is it too late to change it ?

and

2. Still need you to answer this question , was Carter originally intended to be included in the forever war original concept or you guys added him for a reason?

1. It's not that serious a error. Everything is already printed and sent out. Like I said, it's easily explained by a plot jump.

2. Both Carter and Claire appear in the finale of the first issue, which was drawn back in 1995, and brought to life by Steve Murphy.

Was Bebop and Rocksteady ever considered to be apart of the alternate future? It seems like they would have been involved in some small compacity or is Shredder's new found blood just and competence not able to tolerate them? They could always shed the incompetence as well.

Shredder was never satisfied with Bebop and Rocksteady's work, so he didn't create them in an alternate timeline.

Okay , can you identify those who might be from the archieverse ?

like this one https://i.imgur.com/qqJuYUY.jpeg and some of these including a mutant bear https://i.imgur.com/xn8jv4V.jpeg
That's just random mutants. Though you can think of the mutant bear as an homage to the Russian comic book "Ninja Turtles and Russian Bear", which came out in Russia in the 90s.

Hello, first post, but felt I needed to get some info out there ASAP!

First off, loved the book. It felt like transporting back to my childhood and finally getting those missing issues id been looking for for years.

So, I'll start by saying I had some pretty unreasonable expectations for this story.

Raph and Ninjara? Bring back the mutanimals? Vengeance on Null? Vengeance for the shredder regarding Krang?

Hoo boy , was I satisfied, buuuuuut not. (closure wise) I was hoping for something a bit more conclusive regarding certain things... BUT WAIT. I just read TMNT Odyssey since it was referenced in the epilogue. And let me just say to the TMNT Adv fans that only know that bit of lore. If you want the "closure" I was referring to above. READ ODYSSEY. (Especially after Forever War.) Basically, its REQUIRED reading for a true final conclusion to the TMNT Adventures storyline. Odyssey felt like the true poetic conclusion to everything that I didn't know I needed. And that reference for the I universe? Man. What a perfect bridge.

I'll make a real post of opinions and questions on the thread once I've let the dust settle and my mind being blown. But since this is more of a PSA, i'll leave it at that.

Thanks!

The black guy is Carter? I don't believe he is ever identified in the comic. I also learned today that the character has a last name, Dawson.

I assume it's because the story was developed in late 1995 and he debuted at the same time.

That is Carter. He was identified in the Archie run when Future Leo introduced his students, including Bob (Future Shark Trilogy).

Got my edition of the hardcover Forever War comic, and it's great. Masterful quality and workmanship all around. Now that this untold story is wrapped up, maybe a partially told story can also be colored and concluded? *coughSeedOfDestructioncough*

Looking for the identity of the character in The Forever War I found it in the the promo for the final season of TMNT (1987). I believe it's the only public mention of the forgotten divisive character's last name.

Regarding Baxter-

He witnesses Shredder and Armaggon escaping through a time slip before he's never seen from again, and while I understand that was Murphy's way of distancing the Adventures stories from the cartoon, I considered that a very interesting possibility. With Forever War ending in a very open ended manner could there be any plan to develop that loose end beyond Baxter just getting lost?
I would think that a person of Baxter's intelligence who'd witnessed such events wouldn't simply fade away and not continue with his own scientific pursuits, or personal vendettas. Would he be a character of interest or use for further fan works by Arseniy, AlZarkovski, Andrew, and Chris?

So, now that I've had some time to digest, I wanted to jump back on the forum and thank the team for putting this product together. I cant stress enough what a moment this was for me. To be able to take this trip back to childhood and see where things were going to end up in this story, even if partially from a different creative team.

I wrote in earlier about how high my expectations were, and honestly after going through the new art from Chris Allan and reading this and Odyssey, I just couldn't be happier with everything.

The wraparound covers / art are pretty much the posters that 8 year old me would have dreamed of having hung up in his room all those years ago.

My collection/shrine finally feels complete! (Sorry, the images are huge and I don't know how to resize. This link is a bit easier on the eyes. https://imgur.com/a/1dYcMVR)

I think the only thing I want, as a complete childhood fantasy, that I feel like this book sort of opens the door to the possibility for... (in my headcannon :tgrin: )

I know this is a story of time travel really, but at the same time, it feels like additionally a story of "alternate realities". The effects of messing with time. The death of the Mutanimals and the end of Raphael/Ninjara really bummed me out as a kid as I was all about this series growing up. With Raphael being my favorite turtle, and the Mutanimals being such a big part of the series (And not knowing the reason for their deaths in my childhood ignorance) I always sort of hoped and expected all that to... Be "undone" by the end of the series? But, since the Mutanimals were a passion project that got scrapped by executives, and Ninjara was planned for a spinoff, those things never came to fruition. So maybe I'll plot out a commission for Mr Allan (If he is still accepting them after all these years of TMNT) for a final image of these "alternate reality" Umeko and the Mutanimals coming though the time portal to the cannon Archie reality. (I know that this doesn't line up, plot wise since this alternate reality is, in essence, undone with the events of the story. (I think? :D ) I just thought it would make for a fun poster image. Like the main turtle cast, future and present setting up a surprise party in the lair with a banner that says like "Welcome home" or something corny like that, then the "alternate reality" kids sort of, hesitantly walking through the portal. I dunno, the image in my head makes me smile :D )

Well, this has gotten quite long, but I had to make sure that I got it all out there and thank you guys again. Loved everything you guys did. Amazing work and totally worth backing the project all those years ago.

Well done.

I gotta admit, I never read a single issue of Archie TMNT, but I heard stories about the "lost" Forever War since my earliest TMNT-comic-collecting-days, so I just needed to jump aboard. :D

It's an impressive piece of work and a very fun time travel story. Especially the first 2 chapters gave me strong Back to the Future vibes, but the transition to the "new" stuff was also very smooth and everything felt coherent. I enjoyed how dangerous that no-bull$hit-Shredder felt who learned from every single mistake he ever made and simply got rid of all his deadweight. All the stuff that happened to Shredder after The Forever War left me a bit confused, but that's to be expected since I lack too much knowledge.

As a non-Archie TMNT fan I sometimes got a bit irritated when the turtles started talking like some Fred Wolf goofballs while a lot of serious stuff was happening around them, but I guess that's part of the appeal of Archie TMNT. I pre-ordered the first new omnibus and look forward to read the rest of the series. I'll absolutely re-read the Forever War once I'm through.

Thank you to everyone involved, you created a true labor of love and a big part of TMNT history!

I might have more questions later, if I think of them, and more thoughts in general. For now, I'll say that the comic is very good and I really enjoyed it. :)

My question, as it turns out, is about the little postcards depicting scenes from the comic. I was trying to arrange them in chronological order, which I have done except for one. It's the one where April is running away from Zombies in the middle of a village at night, and for the life of me I cannot remember what story that was.

Which issue was that one?

I went for my copy yestarday at the post office, really enjoyed the comic (although it really feels different and a little more rushed after the second issue). That Rat King was Chet all along was an amazing revelation. It's very fitting how is not really a conclusive story for the adventure's turtles "This is a Forever war, sons". I was wondering who was Clair the entire comic (yeah I forgot the name of April's sister in Mirage) kinda sad how she just doesn't exist in the original timeline (or in every other non mirage continuity). Finally I agree with some guys here, would have love to see Umeko and Raph together again :tcry: Maybe they meet again in a future fan comic? :tgrin:

Okay, I have another question.

The way time travel here seems to be the multiverse variety; Any changes made in the past create a split timeline, leaving the original unaffected while each timeline goes on.

We have the 1987 show. Armaggon showing up in the past splits the timeline off, creating the Archie comic. The 1987 show continues on undisturbed.

In this new comic timeline, Shredder goes back from the future to around Issue #18, has his adventures through #26, then goes back to the future. The turtles run into him again in #36, then get taken to the future by the their future selves, fight, and return. Shredder is left in the future.

At some point, he goes all the way back to before the 87 show started, stops himself, stops the turtles, and creates a future where he rules the world. This should, theoretically, result in a third timeline.

Now, the turtles end up in this timeline, fight and return. A Shredder is left in the future, realizing they went back to the past (watch out!). They show up before Shredder can do his thing, he gets dumped back into the beginning of the Archie timeline, and they complete their origin.

Since their origin is different than originally depicted in the Archie comics, that would seem to imply that a fourth timeline is created, one identical to the previous Archie timeline, except they grew up over the years instead of instantly.

All this to say, does this mean that the Forever War Shredder still exists, trapped in a timeline where he still rules the world and everyone is dead, or was that timeline actually erased completely?

Because based on the way the time travel is laid out, either that timeline is still hanging around parallel to the others, or it was erased when they went back and changed it.

And if it was erased, does that mean the original 1987 show timeline was erased as well in the canon of the Archie comic? Because that doesn't seem to be how it works in the turtle multiverse, but either the "Forever War" Shredder basically still won, since all his enemies are dead and he still rules the world, or he was erased, and so was the 1987 show.

Anway, I'd appreciate some clarification on the matter.

Okay, I have another question.

No, you're wrong from the start.

To begin with, TMNT87 and Archieverse are completely different universes that overlap at some point in time (spaghetti effect). This is because similar characters in the animated series and comics originally have different origin stories that didn't come about because of Armaggon's appearance or Shredder's timejumps. Armaggon's appearance is exactly the point of separation, the point at which the storylines start to diverge. But that doesn't mean it was the TMNT87 universe before that.

Secondly, changes in the Present IMPLIES events in the Future tense, Murphy points this out repeatedly throughout the series. The other issue is that not all changes in the Present can change the Future (like defeating Maligna earlier in the Present than it was in The Future didn't affect climate change). And events in the Present don't follow events of the Future thoroughly because of Null's machinations (the Gang of Four, the death of the Mutanimals, and the like).

Third, the Turtles managed to get to the new reality for one reason -- first they traveled to the Future, and then at the moment of the bomb explosion, when Shredder had already changed the Past, they were thrown into a new version of the Present. By going back in time and stopping Shredder, they closed the time loop, restored their origin (with the differences shown in TMNTA #45) and erased The Shredder tyrant's world.

If Shredder had simply spawned a new universe, then in fact the Turtles would have returned to their Present after the bomb, without Shredder, and Shredder would have taken over the world in his new reality, without the Turtles. And everyone would be happy, no Forever War)

I saw that this wasn't the intended explanation in the post below this one. Aaaaand this quotes interpretation of what happened wasn't what I originally got from the story line. HOWEVER! I actually REALLY like this idea as an explanation as to why the first 4 issues of the series are pretty exact to a few episodes of the 1987 series and then completely deviate from there for the Archie series. (Like a butterfly effect type of ramifications)

I saw that "because the Archie series has different origins for various characters compared to the 1987 series" as an explanation for why they are separate universes. But I feel like that, could have made for some really cool crossover issues. (Exploring the deviations) I know I mentioned it before in an earlier post on this thread, but I think what I loved most about "Forever war" is that it opened up so much potential for storytelling. [Shame you guys aren't doing this stuff full time!]

But concepts of alternate timelines/realities along with the already pretty deep mythology that's been introduced within the turtles own "multi-verse" (Mirage, 1987, Archie, 2003, 2012, IDW) It seems like there is a lot of really good openings here if there were more stories that you guys. (The independent team) could go down, storytelling wise.

I know you guys have been working on this series for years now, but, as a constant fan, I'll keep asking for more!

Thanks team! Keep up the good work!

I see. So the Archie comic was always completely separate, and just very conincidentally matched up with the 1987 universe for a bit at the beginning. Then, Armaggon and Shredder's mucking around in the past changed the Archie timeline itself (accounting for the differences depicted in the Archie origin), ultimately creating a closed loop that resulted in the comic the way we got it. Do I have that right?

Yes, that's right. Just like Mexican TMNT comics are based on the Archeiverse stories and then start going their own way. Some of the stories are TMNTA reprints and some are completely redrawn by Manuel Conde, who then gradually introduces his own characters and his own stories. It's a completely separate universe that overlaps with TMNTA at certain points.

I first read Forever War back in 2024. I loved it, but was over a decade removed from last reading the full Archie run.

Just this morning, I finished #77 as part of a chronological read-through starting with #1 earlier this year. Needless to say, whole new experience! Incredible work everyone, you should all be very proud. Thank you for pulling this off.

My questions aren’t so much about Forever, but a couple other details from the series’ past /potential future:

1. The last page of Megadeath part 5. Future Don speculates that someone is alerting the timeline, then we see them being watched through a monitor and two characters laughing off-screen. Null hired the Gang of Four to kill them, but was it Shredder and Verminator messing with the timeline? The Mutanimals were destined to die anyway, but will this ever be explored further?

2. I heard Chris Allan say in an interview that “The Man Behind the Mask” was meant to take place before Forever War, and it does read as being immediately after Moon Eyes. But it kind of seems like “April” from How it All Began would contradict this, since the way she’s talking to Oyuki seems like she hasn’t seen Casey since they were young kids. So the reading order should go Forever War/April/Man Behind the Mask/Crop Circles, correct?

No, Shredder hasn't teamed up with the Verminator since the events of the Future Shark Trilogy. Behind the scenes: Null and Maligna. The entire Megadeath and Terracide arc is dedicated to them.

Of course, Chris couldn’t mention The Forever War since it hadn’t been officially released. As well as April story. So yes, that is correct order. And that is exactly the order in which these stories were written.

I see, makes sense. I know that was meant to be a misdirect, but one glitch there is neither word bubble has Maligna’s unique font.

Also, if they were destined to die soon enough, why would Null bother killing them early?

Of course, Chris couldn’t mention The Forever War since it hadn’t been officially released. As well as April story. So yes, that is correct order. And that is exactly the order in which these stories were written.

Makes perfect sense, thanks!

Ever come across one of your own posts and wonder what you were trying to convey? I can't remember why I posted this clip.

Yes, Mondo was killed.

I think this was done on purpose to avoid spoilers.

Their deaths were not predetermined. Null had simply found a way to influence the timeline, and with that approach, their deaths became a matter of chance. He didn’t succeed on his first try, but knowing the events of the “past,” he found the right time and place again.

One last thing. I’m not asking for spoilers obviously, but I am curious how long you guys plan on keeping the series going. Main reason I’m asking is I recently noticed April clearly had a wedding ring at the end of “The Angel of Times Sqaure”.

I have that story pegged as about 6 years after The Forever War. A lot can happen in 6 years, but it’s very interesting to me that you guys are bringing Casey into the mix now.

We have an endless number of ideas and plans. A lot depends on how involved Chris Allan is.

Excellent! I’ll be a day-one preorder until you guys hang it up.

Thanks for answering all of these questions. One more for real then I’ll leave you alone lol.

The epilogue of “The Food Pyramid”, was this related to Shredder’s attack on Future Don in #73? Or does that event not happen now that they’ve fixed the timeline and he’s recovering from something completely different?

Yes, these events took place after the Forever War. We'll come back to them later.
