I've taken into account the experience of working on The Forever War and the preorder, which lasted almost five years, and now the period between the announcement and the book release will be about 2-3 months. This time is necessary for both crowdfunding and final preparations and proofreadings.

All announcements (along with remain Italian TMNT Books and TMNTIV: Dark Legacy #1 single) will be printed at the same time, no later than August 2024.

Was Forever War meant by Steve Murphy to be the end of TMNT Adventures?

Never. Well, probably he was going to rewrite it as an "mega" Archie ender when he intended to redo his scripts from scratch in 2009 (we'll never know because he claims to have lost and forgotten all of it) but beyond that, "Forever War" was always just planned as the next TMNTA story arc that just happened to line up with right around when it was getting cancelled. Had TMNTA not been cancelled and Archie not switched out Forever War for the "How Did The TMNT Get their Weapons?" and all, there's no reason to expect it wouldn't have just been onto the next story arc after FW.

Aside from the unfinished in 1995 The Forever War, which has become a legendary and discussed arc among fans, the TMNT Adventures series has left other unfinished storylines that have left many questions. These are some of them that we will try to answer in the following story.

Yes. The previous two issues were a sort of interlude in the vein of the “How the Turtles Got...” issues. And it was a great opportunity to bring in the various artists of the series. Now we're focusing on a big new story. And I can't imagine new issues of TMNT Adventures without Chris as the main artist.

Yes, Chris gives his all on every panel. From time to time, we set deadlines, but everything depends on his speed anyway, so I don't pressure him. On average, over the past few years, I've come to the conclusion that we manage to produce one issue per year. So be it. Slowly but surely.

Unlike The Forever War, which we waited many years to release the entire story arc at once, now we have the opportunity to publish one issue at a time and thus have regular releases.

And infrequent releases are balanced out by the fact that we have many different projects, which results in several books per year.

lol, precisely. I’m really kicking myself in the ass for not just buying them when I started collecting comics almost 20 years ago. They were out there for a reasonable price and the any internet record of the purchase would be lost to the sands of time by now. Although in those days, I always ran the risk of my folks opening my mail by mistake lol.

Fun fact, I did use some furry merch site to fill some holes in my Tales Vol. 2 collection back in the day. I specifically remember scoring both issues of “Loops”. Don’t remember the site name any more.

As a kid the Casey Jones namedrop was weird, but Splinter did call it “the last TMNT adventure”, so there was always that suspension of there being a large time gap between issue #70 and The Year of the Turtle.
I definitely consider it canon.

I always did. Just because the writer changed doesn't mean it's not canon (and Splinter is also Hamato Yoshi in the series). It's no different than the main IDW ongoing switching from Tom Waltz to Sophie, to Jason Aaron and now the Chinese writer.

Sure you have the random Casey Jones name drop but I guess the writer didn't know he never appeared in Archie Adventures. Although now Casey Jones IS canon in Archie so that fixed that anyway.

Doesn’t look like there was really discussion when How It All Began (clever, semi-obscure reference there) came out. Crazy! I just read it Monday night. My quick reviews:

Cudley - Kind of a gruesome little story, ironically paired with Ken Mitchroney art. Brilliant! Man… so Cudley was patched together by combining a farmer and his cow into one being? Stump and Sling are sickos :lol:

King - This one was probably the highlight of the book, really good stuff. Also pretty unexpectedly dark. My kid likes TMNTA and we’ve been reading the early stuff. Had to cover a few panels with my hand and improv some dialogue while reading this to him haha.

April - Another great one. I obviously hadn’t read this when “The Man Behind the Mask” came out, so I was very surprised to learn that April knew Casey in her youth. I suppose it had been a long time and she didn’t immediately recognize him. Random, but I enjoyed you guys remembering how April would ride Oyuki’s ass about cigarettes.

Toonage Mutant Ninja Turtles - Very fun. Glad to see stuff be unearthed and repurposed. My kid liked this too, even if he didn’t fully understand the many references.

The Food Pyramid - Another one pulled from obscurity. Decent enough dream sequence story. I do think Brian Thomas is an overlooked contributor to the Archieverse, glad he wasn’t forgotten here.

Oh and those god damn Chris Allan wraparound covers you included, Holy Moses! The guy just gets better and better, doesn’t he? I forget which piece exactly, but when I turned the page to one of them my 3 year old exclaimed “look at the beautiful art!”

I just now read it again for the first time in ages. It’s super fun. Great comic.

It certainly has a different vibe than all the other Archie stuff, mainly in how the art was often evoking the first two movies a lot, but there’s no real contradictions to be found.

Thank you! Yes, it was especially important to me that Jim Lawson bring the story of the Rat King's origins to life. It turned out great.

April's story is the only one in the book that directly continues the events after the Forever War and leads straight into #80. Oh, and yes, there's also an epilogue to “The Food Pyramid,” which is there for a reason. Stay tuned!

What is Time Lords Trilogy, you ask?

Here is the current reading schedule for our Club’s books set in the both Mirageverse and Archiverse, including upcoming announcements! In collaboration with Dream Studios, which you may already know from the miniseries Agent Ravenwood and TMNT IV: Dark Legacy, we’re working on several projects that will ultimately come together to form a unified “expanded universe.” Stay tuned for details!

78 and 79 are available as singles. I would personally recommend getting the How It All Began TPB though.

80 is not out yet and you can still preorder. Probably shipping this summer.

Prime is a five-issue miniseries from Dream Studios. We're currently finishing up the final fifth issue, after which the entire series will be released in English as a hardcover book.

Today, I can show you Dan's cover for the fifth issue. Yes, we're collaborating with him, too. Dan has already drawn two covers for Dream Studios, and we're in talks about collaborating on a full-length comic based on TMT87.

Thank you. Yes, I noticed that Dan's initials match our studio's, so I took advantage of that.

We don't currently have plans to involve Dan in Nexus, perhaps just one or two covers.

We're currently starting a new series, "Lost Adventures," which will be a counterpart to SMA. If all goes well, Dan will draw a comic for this series.

I recommend you hurry up if you want to add it to your collection.

It’s very difficult to show this issue without revealing spoilers, so I tried to just share some impressive panels (I think everyone has long suspected Casey's revealing, so that’s no longer a spoiler). The adventures continue!

Not quite. Starting next week, I’ll begin shipping all orders that don’t include The Shredder/Unfinished Business (as soon as Russian Post resolves the technical issue with processing online orders).

The Shredder/Unfinished Business are also completely ready for printing, but I don’t have enough money for that yet. So any new orders will help us reach the needed amount sooner. I’ll also post about this on Facebook a little later.

This is a bit off-topic, but the news about the fatal case in Irkutsk is indeed true. According to the latest news I've read, the diagnosis of plague was not confirmed—the patient died of pneumonia. Nevertheless, everyone who came into contact with the deceased has been placed in quarantine; after testing and the required observation period, they are being released.
