Sorry if this is a dumb question, I’m not a really big collector and I am beyond overwhelmed by all the different lines going right now.
The Loyal Subjects line looks like a decent option. I’m mainly asking because I recently picked up the Playmates black and white Mirage 4 pack and was considering doing a Turtles Forever shelf since I already have the 2003 line.
I guess I’m worried the LS turtles will look too big. I could keep all 3 groups playmates, but the ‘88 line isn’t show-accurate.
Any thoughts?

Look for the NECA ultimate turtles at Target.

A Toytles Forever display should look like this imo:
Mirage 2008 NECA turtles
2003 turtles
OG playmates turtles

The OG ‘88 line always felt like its own thing. But if I did go with those (and I already own them) they’d all be Playmates, and the same scale. Might be my best option. Definitely the cheapest lol.

Second part to this question. Does the loyal subjects line have any characters outside of the turtles?

Lmao, And I have to admit I vaguely remembered them from my childhood. Looked them up… have to pass on that option unfortunately.

There’s Shredder, Krang in walker, Krang’s Android Body, Bebop, Rocksteady (Mutations Rocksteady), Casey Jones, and April. They never got around to doing Splinter.

I would highly recommend passing on the BST AXN turtles especially the non-IDW ones. They are not good or fun figures
Best Fred Wolf/1987 option?
Hands down NECA.
BST AXN is decent, but I wouldn't advise getting their non-IDW figures, I regret getting them.

Thanks for your input everyone.
I think I’m gonna bite the bullet and go NECA. Seems like more bang for your buck, plus a lot of fun side characters if I decide to branch out. And BST AXN not having Splinter is nuts!

I’m now of the mind that an ideal Turtles Forever shelf would be:
Black and white 2008 NECA Mirage
NECA Fred Wolf
Super7 4kids
But now I think I’m gonna do like 15 different shelves and start collecting from every era. If I can find the space lol

Also, using a Mutations Rocksteady over a Fred Wolf Rocksteady was silly. It’s no wonder these are at Ross Dress For Less and DD’s Discount.
