Haul-A-Thon is a sales pitch, dude. It's the same thing as when we were kids and Carson Pirie Scott sent out a catalog to our moms for the Summer sale. The only difference is that a marketing MBA who works for Target said "let's brand it as a convention event as cover for the sale and they'll eat it up and not know the difference". That's the reality. It's a retail sales event whereby the retailer hopes that most consumers will think it actually has something to do with "social fandom" to be involved with like a convention.

I found Ultimate Shredder, Count, and BD Mirage Shredder at a Target (have only checked a couple) in the shipper display.

I forget what else was on it, but no other toon figures were on it. :x

Hoping that one of these Friday Target events includes the rest of the toons...kinda dumb to start off Haul-a-thon, a decidedly Target event, with Mirage items that are not themselves Target exclusives.

Went to a Target I never go to and they didn’t have the display or anything, so that was a bust.

However, it was one of the best stocked NECA sections I’ve ever seen. Lots of Mirage stuff and some Cartoon 2-packs I’ve never seen in person. Zack/Smask, Vernon/Rat King, couple others.

Not every Target carries them, so for some, this was their own way of getting one. The Targets by me still have Toon Slash, the Punk Turtles, and Samurai Mike and Astronaut Don.

Almost all the Haul-A-Thon stuff isn’t exclusive to Target. I just wish they would put up that Pee Wee Herman figure already :x

Shredder's back up, and I grabbed him. Mostly just been collecting my favorite characters when it comes to the NECA stuff, but the Vacation Bop and Rock that I got for Christmas REALLY needed their boss to be complete. (I've also never owned an accurate '87 Shredder figure, and I just couldn't resist.)

I, too, want Pee-Wee. I couldn't tell if he was in the shipper I saw IRL, but if he was, he was sold out. Which frankly ... surprises me? I know plenty love him but that shipper couldn't have been there more than a week when I found it and there are less and less people dropping $35 on plastic these days...

I find it somewhat ironic that the first Tattoo figure NECA gives us is probably the dumbest version in the whole Turtle-verse. Seems like Archie version would have been the cooler choice than Hamster-Man... and it could have come with an Inky dog accessory fig!

I saw everything but the Wyrm and Sumo 2-Pack on the shelves. Man that Panda Khan was SWEET looking - really. Was disgusted by the price. Bought nothing - even left Shredder there.

Hopefully NECA does something cool with Archie to fire me back up again. I dunno.

Huh. It confused the crap out of me that the Red Elite Assassin is packaged with the maskless head on, and the classic color Elite Assassin is packaged with the masked head on. I have been getting it confused with the Elite Guard.

I’m very torn on the Elite Assassin. It’s a cool figure, and I understand the difference but I already have the regular Elite Foot.

I’m also tempted to get the all red one since it’s straight out of a classic cover and it’s heavily discounted on Best Buy right now… but something about those monochrome figures is kinda corny.

Which sucks, because that’s the only affordable way to get the 3 Shredder Clones.

Came upon the motherload today. Pretty much every single haulathon item, multiples, in one spot, plus other new release.

Including elite assassin and super turtle. I looked at them for awhile and had "the debate" then left with neither. Neither feels essential. The domeoids would be nice but I'm not paying $50 for a figure I don't need/want to get two "buddies" that should be "free" accessories.

I wonder if we will see any of this hit clearance, or if NECA would rather recall and bury them all. I don't see this stuff moving quick anymore. Found 4-5 Tatsu the other day hanging in a Walmart!
