I heard that the next comic is supposed to be available by the end of this month. Perhaps around the 28th, but I'm not really sure...

I got mine today. It's really cool. I must say that Laird is taking the TMNT in a very different direction with this story arc. Although it's not what I've come to expect from the Mirage TMNT, I must say that I'm truly enjoying it.

I got it today! I absolutely love the cliffhanger at the end! I also adore the letter in the back complaining about how she thought they were drawing the turtles with penises!!!!

Heee.. I was lauging at that letter too, and Laird's blunt response to it. He also had a good point about that crapfest letter too. Looks like Liard and Lawson aren't going to make drastic changes to please us in each and every way. His story, his rules, I guess. Fine by me! :P
I'm also looking forward to see what the future of aliens/mutants coexisting with humans will be like. MIB?

Well you gotta admit, they do look like the old tallywacker......
They've always been noticeable when Lawson draws the turtles

I can only say that i like lawsson's style...

*lol* well, the tails looked like tails when Lawson started drawing for the comic during City at War. Why it looks worse now that it did then, I still have yet to figure. I also think Laird's (and Dooney's) inking over Lawson;s pencils doesn't help much... they started rouunding the ends of the tails in this new comic! Eehhh... :goofygri:
But I figured the trick to telling which female is which (since the face and bodies look all the same)... look at their HAIR. April has medium length hair with curly locks, Shadow has short choppy hair, and Karai has smooth shoulder length hair with bangs to one side.

It is not as good as lairds or dooneys but still i think atleast the turtles look very nice...

I think that Lawson draws a pretty good turtle. I'm not a big fan though of the way he draws people.
One thing that is definetely clear is that this new storyarc is taking the turtles in all new direction. Laird is setting up a completely different environment for the turtles to interact in, it seems like he's going more for a superhero type feel as opposed to the "dark" ninja actions of the original mirage series.

I dont think "super hero" would be the right word... maybe more sci fi... but i have no problem with that.

I also adore the letter in the back complaining about how she thought they were drawing the turtles with penises!!!!
I got my copy today, strangly it has arrived before issue 4 :|
About the penis issue, I have to say that some people should get out more and coming from me that is something.
I hate to think what goes on in her perverted mind :o
Did you notice they didn't print her location? I can hazard a guess tho

Doctor Doctor! I keep seeing turtle penises! :rolling:
Honestly, even *I* don't think that way. I'm gonna have to read this letter when I get my copy. Geez, some people...

I'm so glad I was able to get #5 before coming out here. Though now I wish I had it with me. I have given my boyfriend free reign over my comic collection while I'm gone. Maybe he'll like TMNT even more by the time I get back! :D

Well, I don't entirely agree with that sentiment, but I wouldn't mind having my boyfriend be more of a fan. I've been after him to read more of my fanfiction than just "Lemon". :P
