Toys 'R Us will give away 1.000.000 free FOX boxes with preview stuff on all the new Saturday morning cartoons
Including the TMNT. If you live in the USA (unlike me :tcry: )
Then get your ass over to Toys 'R Us on August 31.
There will be a CD -rom in the Box, maybe someone can put the content online

I e-mailed "Raphel" about the Fox Box and he said that there will be no fottage on the tape only the comic will tell about stuff(and I think the CD ROM will also have stuff.

Karpo is staying he can't be on the Internet for very long, cause his time is limited.
Mike though he was talking about the Fox Boxes, and was gonna get extra.
But more importantly, tmntfreak popped in to say there is not going to be any TMNT cartoon footage on the tape (cause Berger told him through the Raph's email). Only TMNT stuffs will be in the 8 page comic and maybe on the CD. ...What?!

Bummer... I thought that there wouldn't be any TMNT clips. Ah well, I'm still really interested in all of the other shows. I think that preview video is the one they're planning to air on September 1st.

Yeah... And I bet that mini-comic will be a teaser for the cartoon. Maybe it'll feature scenes from the first episode to be aired later. So far, all they've teased us with are the "shadow" pictures and the new toon logo.

Dunno... It also sounds like this depends on the stores from state to state. The best bet is to go there and ask them about it when you can.

Hey, has anyone had trouble getting the Fox Box? I heard from some people on the list that Toys R Us thinks it has inappropriate material and are sending them back. I have no idea what can be considered inappropriate... I hope it isn't the TMNT's fault.

I just went and got mine but they said that they weren't giving the video or the comic out because it was inappropriate. The comic was in there but the video wasnt, i have no clue why they did this. Oh and the video clip on the cd is nothing special it only shows a pic of them

I have no idea why they'd think the comic was inappropriate. Even if it was, you think they'd catch it before it got to this stage. Stupid Toys R Us people. Obviously, it's only the distributers who have a problem with it.

No...i can't believe this...they probably think the comic is "too violent"...well same thing happened with tmnt movie 1 and then the 2nd movie came out and it was childish, so that noone could complain about it...i hope the censors/army of angry parents dont mess with the come back of tmnt, i'm fearing it'll happen like what happend to the 2nd movie... :x

I know, it wouldn't be laird's fault, he's the one of the idea of a darker tmnt series, i think...what i'm afraid of is the cartoon getting cut at some parts or stop from being aired because people say it's "too violent"...like what happend with the fox box comic...that'd really suck...But then again, maybe it was only the comic/tape, and the cartoon won't be affected. :oops:

Yep, I just got my Fox Box, and they definitely took out the video. It had the mini comic, though, and I really liked it. It followed the very first issue that Kevin and Peter did. Full of nostalgia. :anime:
From what I've heard, there were no clips of the TMNT in the video. My guess is that they took the video away because of the Muscle anime. An anime show about wrestling might be considered "inappropriate material." I certainly hope the censors and the parents don't ruin the TMNT...

Remember, Cher got the Fox Box, with the video. She said the video didn't have any clips, just a little teaser of baby turtles sitting on a manhole cover with a container of ooze.

I was thinking about taping it too, just in case they did show a clip of the TMNT. I might tape it anyway...
BTW, the clip that Cherubae described is also in the CD-Rom. I saw the clip of four baby turtles on top of a manhole cover, with the green cannister of ooze landing next to them. I thought it was cool that the cannister read "T.C.R.I." rather than "T.G.R.I." :anime:

here i will explain better. I wen to toys r us and the lady at the counter said it had no video and no comic, but suprisingly it did have the comic inside. So they said that they took out the comic but they left it in. Why would they say they took it out but they actually didnt?
Dang, mine has the comic AND the CD-Rom. I saw nothing wrong with it, and yea, the Turtles video is the same as the one on foxbox.tv . And it screwed up my fonts Oh well. The comic seemd rushed, the art wasn't all that great. :(

I heard that there was nothing TMNT related during the Fox Box special that was one earlier tonight. I didn't get to watch it, but someone on the list did... Ah well. Maybe they'll have a special preview just for the TMNT fans sometime in January. :D

my Toys R Us told me they recalled all the FoxBox's because they contained inappropiate material. geez ya think they could have figured that out before the day of distrabution. i was indeed disappointed
or just slap a rating all over the box and let it go darn it!!!
