I remeber that guy from archie! He was a worker on some Aqvarium when he was exposed to mutagen and turn into that thing... I think is till have that comic somewehere...

yeah, it was in issue 4 or 5 of archie, he's a good guy, and he was an aquarium dude until he noticed some mutagen touched it and became ray fillet. aka manta ray. He beat up shredder pretty good too. I think there was also an actual book with him in it based off the archie comic. I know there's also a book based off the donatello 1 shot.

Yep, Ray Fillet appeared in one of the earlier issues of the Archies comics. He also became a part of the super hero group, the Mighty Mutanimals, which was a spin-off of the TMNT Adventures. They had their own comic book series, and Ray Fillet teamed up with Dreadmon, Jagwar, Leatherhead, Mondo Gecko, and Wingnut and Screwloose.

yeah i have an archie issue with hothead, it's in spanish and in pretty bad condition, and it's the only tmnt comic i have :dead: but ray fillet wasn't in it :D

Yeah, I have that issue and I think it's pretty cool. I especially liked it when Ray gets angry because the bad guys kill one of his little friends (it's that fish/lobster thing he's holding on the cover). Oh, and Raph is wearing his new costume throughout the early Archies issue. That all-black costume was what he wore when he and the others got stuck participating in Inter-Galactic Wrestling. Leo, Mike, and Don got rid of their costumes (which I thought were pretty cool), but Raph liked his too much and decided to keep it for the time being. I wish I could get more Archies... It really is a good series.

I love the issues with the guys as tykes. There was one when Mike was blind and in gov. custody, about them cheating on their lessons to get pizza, as well as the one where they got their colors. Then theres the last two of the archies series, where they get their weapons.

I think Splinter was probably drawn by a different artist, which is why he might've looked different. Just like the Mirage comics, the Archies had various artists drawing the comics, though Ken Mitchroney did most of the pencils in the earlier issues (I don't know about the later ones). Even Lawson did a few pencils for the Archies.
