Ok there has been giant Ninja Turtles, giant mutatin' Ninja Turtles, giant movie Ninja Turtles, giant movie III Ninja Turtles, giant Bebop and Rocksteady and a bootleg giant Splinter. But what I am not getting is why never a giant Shredder? how awesome would it be to have a giant Shredder new or old? The movie II Super Shredder look cool but it would have looked alot better if it was big wouldn't it?

I don't know if they will ever come out with one, but does anyone know if they made a bootleg one or somthing?

It would be too scary to make a Giant Shredder, the kids would freak out, and think that he would kill them when night strikes and so on hehe. Just a theory

lol, it'd be like that doll that eats hair when you sleep with it, only it would slash you up.

I would wager a guess that it has to do with safety. At 12" tall, a shredder figure's spike would never pass safety tests unless they were reduced to such small nubs that it would simply look silly.

I think it would be cool to have a giant shredder. He would probably be the coolest looking of the 12 inch figures.

Large spikes = hazardous to kids = lawsuits

in the old show his spikes were never that big they could have done it then.

Large spikes = hazardous to kids = lawsuits They made the new turtle weapons...

They could just make the spikes with that soft bendy plastic, or what not.

If a giant Shredder was made, I might have been more inticed to buy the Turtles, Rocksteady and Bebop. Not to mentioned the bootleg Slinter. If a bootleg Splinter was made, why no Shredder? I don't think they would have as many problems crearting such a "dangerous" figure.

If they put like a warning on the box wouldn't that be enough? if there is a warning I don't belive you can get sued.

In America, you can sue anyone for anything. Whether you can win or not is a different issue.

But you assumption that a warning allows you to put out adangerous toy is wrong. From what I have read, toys are subected to a series of safety tests based on their intended age range. If they fail those tests they can not be released.
If you want to know more about the implications these safety tests can have, look at what has happened with the domestic release of Optimus Prime toys recently. Hasbro was forced to change the molds of the smokestacks from the original Japanese version because they failed safety tests.
