All right, here's the deal. There's a few of us on this board who role-play at the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Multi-User Shared Hallucination, which I'm a (jr) Admin of. I'm just going to tell you a little story...

Picture this: You are a Role-Player, stuck in Yahoo. You're tired of watching Power Ball Z and Sailor Moon groupies duke it out for the Hentai YAOI/YURRI Palace ownership rights, and you randomly go and search six leters in GOOGLE. T M N T R P. Then you wait six months for t he place to re-open.
And then: Bliss. Mature Role-Players. A setting and a story you can really sink your teeth into. Somewhere where people don't message you asking if you cyber.
A year later, you have a few great characters. You draw artwork and make a website for the place you RP, trying to help out.

A few months later, you go on after being absent thanks to work... only to find that this wonderful, shelled and green heaven is closing.
Due to LACK OF MEMBERS.

You knew there'd only be maybe fifteen people, mostly with multiple characters. You knew there'd be sluggish times in the RP... but you never expected the place to actually close.

That's exactly my predicament. I love the TMNT MUSH. Heck, I'd buy it if that would keep it open... but what fun is a RP without players?

So come on in, check it out!

Why don't you just RP here?

Why don't you just RP here?
Because, Mushes allow for more structure. More consistant RP abilities. The ability to actually RP without running into issues on forums. Etc, etc, etc. I have never liked forum based RP. AIM is better, but Mushes are superior. :)

Huzzah! Interest! :)
Err... I don't RP Here because... well... I dunno why I don't RP here, probably because I like the MUSH, and I'm on two Harry Potter boards...

All righty, to join there's an application to fill out. I know not a whole lot of people like paperwork, but it really does help figure out some limitations on your character. We just started accepting magic-users, though those ones will require a lot of app work (like aliens and robots do!). We are in desperate need of villians (Bebop and Rocksteady, Rat King... ANYONE!)
Like I said, there's oodles of information on the website (http://www.angelfire.com/hero/tmntnexicon), the Newsfiles section has all the rules and the application information. All apps are sent to [email protected].

If you look on the Nexicon (my webpage n_n) we do have a help wanted section, and original characters, and characters from the comics and the movies (and the cartoons, we even allow Irma). We have characters like Keno, and even APRIL avalible for play.
A small warning though, as a Feature Character, you're expected to play at least five hours a week (which isn't that much, when you get down to it). Humans are needed as well.

In order to access the MUSH, you need a program to run it, like telenet or MUSHClient (I use the latter). Mushclient is freeware and highly recomended by Jack the Administrator. Download it at http://www.mushclient.com/. After you install MUSHClient, open it up, hit File, New World. A window will pop up asking if you want to open from a saved world, which you don't have if you just got MUSHClient :P
From there, you name the world (TMNT WOrld, for instance, put in the TC/ICP address (64.246.44.42), and the Port# (which is 3000). THen it opens and you should see a screen saying TMNT MUSH, put "connect guest guest" into the window, and you're on our MUSH! :)
THere's occasionally other people on, and the administrators (Jack, Jill, KeeperofDreams and Antiquity), are always willing to lend a hand.

Along with any other player who's on :)

Still any questions? My AIM Is Deviate Raccoon, AOL E-Mail is [email protected], my MSN Messenger is Space Tanuki, and on the MUSH, I'm Antiquity, Kameko, Maggie or Ting Ting :)

I highly recomend the MUSH, just because I love it so much n_n

Hmmmm..... has Michelangelo (Mirage-flavored) been taken yet??

I might also consider transferring some of my Palladium or D&D characters over.

Unfortunately, all four of the main turtles have been taken, however there's some really nifty characters like Naga (Ninjara's brother) and Ace Duck, and Wolfmon, and Bebop and Rocksteady!

We have a more-or-less compleate list on the MUSH itself, off of the OOC room, where Guests are allowed to veiw who's currently being played.

Has Casey been claimed yet? If not, I might considering joining.

When I try and connect to the telnet, I find I am unable to type in any commands. Very odd.

Yes, Casey Jones is open for application, as well as April, Keno, Bebop, Rocksteady, Tokkah, Rahzar, and Tatsu.

Unfortunately... I have no idea how the telenet thing works, either. :tsweatdr: Ah... I'd just recomend using MUSHClient. It's easy to use, even I got the hang of it in a week :tcouch:

Hey everyone, seventeen days until the TMNT MUSH closes.

I'm really on my knees now, this is my favorite place in the whole world to role-play.

Other than my boyfriend's house... but then again, that's Hackmaster, and the GM already told me I'm not allowed to play Ninja-types.

I'd like to join, but I dont know how. :-?

All Righty then,
TO JOIN:

Head over to the TMNT NEXICON (http://www.angelfire.com/hero/tmntnexicon/), in the side bar go to NEWSFILES, and from there to CHARACTER. That will give you the information you'll need for designing your character.

TO INVESTIGATE:

head over to Mushclient.com, and download MUSHCLIENT. Install it, and open it. Go to File, New World, and a window will open asking if you want to start up from a saved world.
Unless you actually are on the MUSH, you won't have it under your saved worlds.

Name it whatever you want in the next window, and put
TCP/IP Address: tmnt.mushland.com OR 64.246.44.42 - if the letters don't work, the router might be down, so try the numbers. If the numbers don't work, there's no lightbulb on.

Port: 3000

And just hit open :) When the world boots up, in the text box at the bottom type in "connect guest guest", and BAM! You're on. Type in "WHO" to see who's on. page <name>= will send a message to the person's name you put there. It'll look like this:

Page Kameko= Hey, aren't you Space Tanuki 9?
you paged Kameko with "Hey, aren't you Space Tanuki 9?"

And of course, Kameko would answer

Kameko (kiddo) pages, "Yeah! Hey, you need any help with an application or a character idea? I'll help in any way I can."

If you have any questions, feel free to E-mail me at [email protected], make sure you put the subject line TMNT MUSH Question
