I've heard that during the shooting of The Secrets of The Ooze, one scene was cut. Dt. Perry having retrieved the last mutagen canister opens up his shirt and hands the canister to a Utrom in his stomach. Does this scene exist?

That would have been cool. i wouldnt ever have thought of him being krang.

Funny how I've never heard of Utroms until just recently, and all of a sudden, this supposed "deleted scene" pops up.
That would have been neat had it happened. But I doubt there is any validity to that rumor.

I doubt that scene exists. They used the last canister to make Tokka and Rahzar, then Shredder swallowed what was left and mutated himself.

Yes he used the last canister for toka and razar, but i think i remember seeing him dumping all the other canisters of ooz onto a brain like object in his lab. maybee they were hoping to have krang in one of the next movies?

I think he meant near the end where Shredder's vial is lost and Perry takes it away. Remember that Shredder had 1 vial, the one used for Tokka and Rahzar, but when he lost it, he had this lil small one as a back up.

I heard of that on a different topic. But I'd don't know if it's true.
Since the whole Secret of Ooze never mentioned any Utroms.

I think this thing is a popular topic at IMDB, and as far as I know, they were planning to do tmnt2 in the same mirage-style as the first one. They did the script, made a couple of scenes/screentest/whatever and then the big shots who owned the movie company told them to make it into a kids movie. It might have been filmed, but it belongs to an old version of the script which we, obviously, will never see

I doubt that scene exists. They used the last canister to make Tokka and Rahzar, then Shredder swallowed what was left and mutated himself. What he swallowed was that little vial he used to threaten that woman he was holding hostage, not the entire canister. Hence Leonardo saying, "The last vial of ooze!"
I've been hearing about this scene since I first got into the TMNT online fandom. I even think it's mentioned in one of Peter's Blast From The Past's. Apparently, Perry was supposed to be revealed as an Utrom at the end of the movie, but it never made it to final cut. I'm not sure if it was filmed, just in the script, or simply brainstormed.

I have my doubts about it actually being filmed.

It would have been so much better if it followed the comics. Of course, with the alien worlds and the Triceritons, not to mention hoards of Utroms, that movie would have a monsterous buget. I guess if they cut Vanilla Ice out, they could have done some of it...
anyway, If they just had the Utrom storyline in liu of that whole "Shredder's Revenge" plot, it would have been much better...

That scene so would have rocked in the second movie and made the somewhat cheesy, lackluster ending more interesting. Now I wished they would have kept it and instead of that awful time travel to Japan in the next movie, followed the Utrom story...

So was Professor Perry supposed to reveal he had a utrom at the Vanilla Ice concert? Not a good place to show off the giant pink alien in your stomach IMO.

Hmm, lots of TMNTs fan from 1991 were small children and therefore only knew the turtles from the old toon. Seeing Perry reveal himself as a Utrom, the kids might have jumped out of their seats screaming "Look it's Krang!"

The scene played out like this, from what I've read. :)
Keno knocks the cannister of ooze away, and Perry recovers it like seen in the movie. Perry ducks into a bathroom or a supply room, and lifts up his shirt. Revealing the Utrom in his stomache cavity. He hands the cannister to the Oot, and that's it. The big question is whether or not this scene actually got past the scripting stage. And if any of the elements were filmed. :)

There is indeed validity to the rumor because Peter Larid himself mentioned it during an interview on the official TMNT site a few years back when we were all under the impression that the new TMNT show was going to have computer generated animation. If you dig around ninjaturtles.com you might be able to find it.

Exactly. I would have been as shocked as the next person.
But then I would have hated this scene moments later. Just what the heck was Krang doing in some crackpot scientist's stomach? Where was his android body? Who's running the Technodrome? And why weren't Bebop and Rocksteady beating the heck out of those pathetic excuses for mutants, Tokka and Rahzar?
This may have been one reason why the scene was cut. It would have been too confusing for cartoon fans such as myself.

I don't think they they were planning Professor Jordon Perry as an alien, they might have put the thought into, but never do it. This is a kids movie and not all the kids would be able to follow the movie line. The movie never really follow a basic comic line. Yeah they were found by Splinter, got mutated, learned ninja, met april and casey, shredder is splinter's natural enemy, splinter wanting revenage on shredder, either splinter or the turtles destroy shredder - they pretty much follow this same story line. But never an alien in the second movie. Shredder had nothing to do with them, and would created another story/plot line in the movie, making it too long, and was really planning another squeull!

The TMNT movies were more 'realistic' set in the real world, apart from mutants. If the Ultrom appeared in TMNT2 to set up TMNT3, then TMNT3 woulda lost the credibility of the audience with all the Ultroms and maybe even Fugitoid and Triceratons thrown in...
It's like the X Men movies... they wanna do the Phoenix saga for part 3, but I wonder how they'll do it without the Shi'Ar stuff to keep the plot on Earth.

I'll second that! I mean, I grew up with the cartoon show, and even several years ago, my cousin gave me the reprint of issue 7 (I think) with an Utrom on the cover. I thought... KRANG! I flipped through it and saw other robotic android brains and I found it quite Jarring.
I doubt highly it was even filmed, as Henson is credited with the TMNT suits, Tokka, Reznor, and Shredder. I guess they would also have done the Utrom, but they never said anything of it in any of the creature shop books I've read.

I would have thought it was cool, even back in that day. A movie Krang would have rocked IMO, but I guess there really wasn't a place for it esp. if they didn't intend to go galactic and just stay on Earth.

i've never even heard that a fourth movie was planned? can anyone confirm this, any add any info???
as for the rumored "utrom" scene.... i have a copy of the shooting script, and there is NO mention of a utrom ANYWHERE... the previous posts got close to what is in the final script, though... one of the turtles (can't remember exactly which one) hands perry the final canister. perry then backs off into a corner or something, and places the canister in his coat. he has a line, something similar to "I have some work to do..." i'll do my best to post an excerpt from the script i have in the next week.
i'm not saying a utrom scene never existed in early drafts of TMNT 2. i've been looking for early drafts of the script for quite some time, and have come up empty handed.

I remember begging my dad to take me to see the movie when it first came to my hometown. We had to wait an extra 45 minutes because the film reel being delivered to the theater was late.
My dad hated it. Then, later on, when he found that the closet in my room was nothing short of a war zone, he was fuming for me having made him sit through two hours of hell when my closet was a mess.

You know the "mysterious disappearance" of TGRI would have made a lot more sense if this scene was in an early draft. Looking back you almost have to assume they completed the Trans-mat and went home, but that would mean no turtles in space story for a 4th movie...
I agree with the majority, had it been filmed and in the final version all it would have done is confuse audiences who never read the comic, however, if a new scene was slipped into a special edition DVD at this current time fans old and new would eat it up! :)

i never really disliked TMNT 2.... i was 9 when it was released, and it seemed like the best thing ever put on celluloid at the time. however, looking back... in my opinion it is NO WHERE NEAR as good as the first, but i still enjoy it for nostalgic purposes. i'll never forget seeing the trailer for it the first time, and having NO idea there was going to be a sequel...
