I would love to see a reporter April figure. There could be two versions, one with the channel 6 sign and one with out it. I love to see April in a yellow outfit.

That would be an awesome figure, maybe with a flipping 6/9 number. It could be a bad thing to because it is just a joke and making a figure of it would be stretching out the joke more then it has to be.

Why give a character that almost never uses violence a weapon? it makes no sense

I agree about the gun part...even back when I was a kid, I thought it strange April came with a pistol in her package. She never waved a gun around in the show, she didn't even fight. Of course, they had to give eveyr figure some kinf of weapons, so April was no different. The stupid gun stays in her hand better than the camera sadly. :roll: Now the briefcase, camera and mike were cool because they accentuated what she was: a reporter

I also have some beef with quite a few other weapons certain older figures had...

If I remember right, the gun went inside the camera to make a handle ;).

I think they might... I just hope there isn't 30 some diffrent versions of it like there was with the original April.

Doh! Your suggestion hot me like a ton of bricks...a decade old mystery solved with the camera/gun issue. :D But I can't quite make her gun fit inside the camera. My April figure is dated 1988, but I've seen pics of a different April that came before the version I have...I think. Is there an earlier version? Mine has orange stripes on her suit (in fact, the one I owned as a kid was the very same)...the earlier version has no stripes right? Maybe that version you could slip the gun into the camera. :-?

The gun never did fit very well. It always sticks out at an odd angle on all of them I've seen.

I think there was two, one with blue stripes and one without stripes at all. I have the blue stripes, the one with no stirpes goes for 80 bucks on ebay.

And yes I would LOVE for them to come out with that new figure of April as well.

There are definitly more Aprils,

Even if you inly count the normal one

1. White boots no Stripes
2. White boots Blue Stripes
3. Orange boots orange stripes
4. Orange boots orange stripes + the word PRESS on her chest

Then there are about 20 variations

Ravashing reporter
Ninja Reporter
etc....
