question about shredder in mirage

[MikesPizzaShack]

well the only shredder that i really knew was the 80's cartoon and archie shredder along with the new one but anyways ive heard ppl say that shredder was an utrom in the orignal story line also. is this true or what? can some1 just tell me how shredder orignaly was if there is any diff at all?

[Splinter]

Nope, not a utrom in the original comics. In fact he died like a punk in the first issue of the comic. And then came back as a worm clone a while later. And then was beheaded by Leonardo.
