What the hell happened to the turtles? In the last couple seasons, from the eps I downloaded and watched, what is with this turtles fighting aliens bs? What happened to shredder? Besides Dregg is gay lol. :D

I don't know, i haven't seen many episodes, but i think shredder gets deffeated and dissapears...and this dregg alien which i don't like takes his place...he comes back with krang latear in the series anyways :D

Here is what happens to shredder that he is finally defeated at the end of season 8 to the best of my knowledge. At the end of season 7, the turtles send the techndrome back to dimension x without Krang, Shredder, Bebop or Rocksteady. After that the creators no longer wanted Shredder and Krang because at a last attempt to save the show they made it serious and as we all know shredder and krang are nowhere near serious. So in season 8 Shredder and Krang had a total of 3 appearances. In the last ep of season 8 (Turtle Trek) Krang finally makes a new dimensional portal and they go back to dimension x to get the technodrome. A dimensional portal takes up an incredible amount of energy (as you would guess) so Donatello picks it up on the Early warning system. They trace the signal and go after Krang and Shredder. Krang scrambled the coordinates of the portal however so the tmnt have to find the technodrome. When the TMNT eventually find it they have one final battle with Krang, Shredder and Bebop and Rocksteady. At the end of the battle the turtles destroy the technodrome's engines right next to a pit where a giant squid-like creature is. The squid-like thing pulls the technodrome into the pit and basically crushes it (meaning the end of Krang and Shredder.) However, Shredder and Krang return in the season 10 3 parter. the first ep is Beginning of the end if your interested.

Just to add to what Deathknight said . . .

Dregg and his minions immediately opened up 1995, and he was featured in all eight episodes of that season. Supposedly, he was defeated at the end of this season and that was to be it. No more Ninja Turtles.

Shredder, Krang, Bebop, Rocksteady . . . you name it, they didn't appear during the entire season. The only regulars who made the final cut for 1995 included the four Turtles, Splinter and April. No Rat King. No Irma. No Technodrome. Heck, the Turtle blimp's final appearance was during this season, the season-opener, "The Unknown Ninja."

How the final season (1996) came to be is something I don't know. There were eight episodes in this season, all featuring Dregg and a whole new set of bad guys. Shredder and Krang made appearances in three episodes during a three-part trilogy this season:

"The Power of Three"
"A Turtle in Time"
"Turtles to the Second Power"

One of Dregg's minions ran into Shredder and Krang when he was in Dimension X. Dregg thought that someone with knowledge of the Turtles could help him in his conquest to destroy them. So he brings Shredder and Krang back, they double-cross him in, like, two seconds and, in Krang's words, "try to pick up where they left off."

Apparently, not even a giant squid can stop Shredder and Krang. As for Bebop and Rocksteady, apparently they weren't so lucky. They were not with Shredder and Krang, and they were never mentioned. We can only assume that they are "terminated." In other words, they were written out of the show.

I am not exactly sure what happens at the end of this triology; my memory escapes me. I know along the way that Dregg manages to capture the Turtles, Shredder and Krang. He uses their energy to become some super-mutant or whatever. But, in true cartoon fashion, all hell breaks loose. In the end, however, Shredder and Krang are beamed somewhere (back to Dimension X, I believe), and Dregg is defeated. Also a thing to note: Carter leaves the show. I don't know why, but I can only guess that he suffered the same fate like so many of the show's great cast - he, too, was written out of the show.

In the final episode of the season, "Divide and Conquer" the Turtles travel to Dimension X to get Krang's android body so they can do battle with Dregg. We get to see the body, the Technodrome, and there is a sense of closure at the episode's end. That is how the cartoon ended . . . until recently.

The 1995 season was terrible. The animation sucked, the stories were lame, and the only reason I watched was because it was the Ninja Turtles. The 1996 season was an incredible improvement, helped by the fact that the animation resembled that from 1994 and the stories were better. It also helped that the writer, William Scott, knew how to use his characters. God bless him for bringing back things that everyone missed, things like Shredder and Krang and the Technodrome. And the VAs for this season seemed more into their characters since the 1993 season. Michaelangelo didn't sound so bored anymore, for example.

Anyway . . . now that you have read my book, I hope this helps. If you have any other questions about these last two seasons, I will see if I can answer them.

I didn't mind carter being written out of the toon, i don't like him...but they got rid of bebop and rocksteady too :dead: oh well...everyone was too serious in that season so even if they were in that season, i don't think it'd make it *that* better... :oops:

You're watching the fourth season? That's one of my favorite.

1990 was pretty much at the peak of the Turtles popularity. That's when they started airing on two networks (FOX and CBS), and it's also when the first movie came out.

There are many wonderful episodes from that year. Heck, they're all really good. The writers really hit their stride in 1990.

Yes, VA stands for Voice Actor. This stands for the actors whose voices are provided for the characters.

When I said that Michaelangelo sounded bored, its because the VA really did sound bored. Usually, Mikey has a real excited voice, but in the 1994 and 1995 seasons, he just didn't have that Michaeangelo charisma that we love. It was better during the 1996 season, however.

I never did catch any of the last few seasons of the cartoon. I started losing interest when the turtles' looks were changed.

Hmmmmmm...well i'll tell you in which divx episodes the 3 intros are, so that you can cut them and paste them in any ep that's missing the intro with virtual dub.
1st opening: Turtle tracks (TV Rip version, the VHS Rip version doesnt have the intro)
2nd opening: Planet Of The Turtleoids (Part 1)
3rd opening: Get Shredder
As for the ending, which is also cut out of every episode...well i don't know how many endings the tmnt cartoon had...i only know of 1, and it is in the episode Shredder Is Splintered, if i remember right...you can get that one from kazaa.

I'm confused about the 3 parter in season 10.... I know it started out with The Beginning of the end and ended with Turtles to the 2nd power but that's 4 episodes... If the beginning of the end isn't the 1st part someone tell me what happens in that ep.

Well, i remember the guys started doing that weird new mutation...and all of humanity following Dregg like a herd (?) of lemmings going over a cliff, and hating the turtles.

I was always confused by the ending. Somewhere, i read that in the very last ep shown, Splinter said that he was no longer the turtles' sensei, and left! I was totally blown away! Did that really happen?!

Actually, the episode titled "The Beginning of the End" had nothing to do with the episodes where Shredder and Krang return in the three-part trilogy. It was actually the second half to a two-part Season 10 opener.

The first episode of Season 10 was called "The Return of Dregg." In this episode, Dregg returns with a whole horde of new bad guys. Also in this episode, Leonardo's mutation goes wild, and the other turtles have to chase him all over the city to get him calmed down. After some run-ins with Dregg, the four turtles manage to get Leonardo back to the sewer. The second half of this story, called "The Beginning of the End," opens up where "The Return of Dregg" left off. The turtles are still working on getting Leonardo's mutation to stabilize itself. But, of course, the experiment works for about two minutes and then Leonardo goes crazy again. And, once again, the turtles have to chase him all over the city to stop him. Dregg intervenes, of course, and the turtles find themselves deep in sewer sludge. But, like all episodes before this one, the turtles escape in just the nick of time. And Leonardo is finally returned to normal.

The next three episodes in Season 10 - "The Power of Three" and "A Turtle in Time" and "Turtles to the Second Power" - all deal with the return of Shredder and Krang. I have already explained these episodes in an earlier post in this section.

The final three episodes of Season 10 are stand-alones; that is, they really aren't connected with each other. In "Mobster from Dimension X," the turtles try to stop an alien called the Globfather from stealing a protein computer brain that would allow Dregg to control some computer satellites in space so he can control the world. The turtles nix his plans.

In "The Day the Earth Disappeared," Dregg tries to open up a warp to suck the Earth into Dimension X. It's obvious that Dregg has seen past episodes of the series because Shredder and Krang tried to do this numerous times. The turtles get stranded in alien worlds, do battle, stop Dregg, and return home.

In the last episode of Season 10 - and a decent one at that, "Divide and Conquer" - Dregg has become a super-powerful alien by absorbing other aliens' energy into his body. The turtles realize the only way they can match up with Dregg is to use Krang's old android body. They travel to Dimension X, battle with some weird creatures in the Technodrome, get Krang's android body, fight and defeat Dregg, and return home. And that is where the series ended.

Until recently . . .
