I found the soundtrack from the first movie and on song five "Turtle Power" it says Raphael is the leader. What the fudge? Stupid Partners in Kryme.

they probably did it that way because raph was more or less the star of the first movie. It is a dumb mistake though.

One person had the theory (was it Rez?) that the song is correct, and it says that Splinter is the leader. There are commas, parentheses, or whatever, that people don't catch when listening. Punctuation doesn't play a huge role in song lyrics, but it can make a huge difference in the meaning.
