You know, they're one (two) of a kind and were made especially for the movies.

So are you going to go buy some baby turtles and crack it over their heads now?
Then convieniently fall asleep, wake up the next morning and notice:
"They doubled in size!"

Yyyyeeeeep, I know. They had to make custom sai, normal ones havethe wings too close together. Their hands and fingers are so big normal sai would be useless.
I wonder if they made more than one pair, that's a common practice to make more than one of something for movies.
someone said Leo's katana were up on ebay once....went for a mere $100?

I had this on my watch list, but I'm too cheap to spend $50+ on it. :D

That isn't very much authentication that it actually is from the movie. "It came out of a warehouse" ? Hmmm

It would be hard to tell if that was really from the movie or not just by looking at it. From the picture it seems like it is something that wouldn't be to hard to make.

there were quite a few sai produced for the films.... hero and stunt versions...
i talked with the seller quite a bit before purchasing a canister... he had more than one, and even a prototype. whether they were on film, i don't know.... but they ARE authentic peices from the production of TMNT 2. i did my research before purchasing mine... $50 for an authentic prop, screen used or not, is a GREAT buy.

$50 is a good price. Which one did you get? The regular or prototype?

:o That is pretty sweet! I can't believe I never realized that the "ooze" was green paint{then again,I'm not exactly a prop buff}. Cool find, although I'm kinda disappointed by the fact that the aforementioned "Super Mario Bros." props cant be found on eBay on the moment. I know that's off-topic,but I love that movie!

You know, I would get those only if I were a serious collector of rare movie items. I do try to find rare TMNT items if they're cheap. Like in paper form: drawings, photos, magazines, and books. I really enjoy finding rare pictures because they're not the same repeated ones we see all the time. Candid cast photos are great, too.

Well, I could certainly use a Mutagen container though if it was only a prop. I'd love to have one, standing there on my desk.. :> Shredder's mask would be pretty cool too.
