Are any of the new toys hard to find/rare already?

I was in a comic shop that was selling some of the new figures and the prices were 19.99 on some of the figures. The guy in there said that some of them are already hard to find. I haven't been in any toy stores lately but I find it hard to believe that they are already rare. So is there any truth to this?

What figures were they? If they are the newest wave then they can be hard to find for awhile. If they are from the first couple of waves, he's crazy. I think wave 1 SHredder has been the rarest figure so far.

I've seen a lot of huns, but only one foot tech and I bought that one. I know people on here are willing to pay 20 a piece for foot tech...me not being one of those people.

Foot Techs were probably the hardest figures to find of the line so far. But I wouldn't say they were really rare, certainly not worth $20. I bought 2 of them, and saw at least 2 more.

Shredder is pretty rare in Canada. So were April and Hun. Splinter and the Turtles are the most common, although I see more of Fighting Gear/Extreme Sports now then of the original Turtles.

Foot Techs are rare as crap. I've seen NONE in recent weeks, though I swear I saw a few way back when. I see Hun and Shredder all over, though -- hell, the other day I saw a discounted Hun for $4. And I left him right there, 'cause I don't like Hun. :goof:

Armorized Shredder is somewhat rare too, isn't he?

Yeah, Armorized Shredder's been pretty hard to find for me. I've seen 2 (passed on it today to get some TMNT TCG packs instead). Splinter was hard to find too. I've seen 1 in the stores, and that's the one I bought.

I collect quite a few lines besides TMNT, so I'm checking quite frequently. There are around 5-6 stores in this area which carry TMNT. And, like I said, I've only seen around 4-5 Foot Tech Ninjas. Actually now that I think about it, Armorized Shredder is probably just as rare. I've only seen around 3-4 of those, despite seeing the other figures in that wave frequently.

And of course, there aren't any more Foot Tech Ninjas on shelves, because the case with him in it stopped shipping quite awhile back. You might still see an Armorized Shredder if you're very lucky, but the case with him in it isn't shipping anymore(at least, I don't think it is).

Here in Aus we are yet to see the 3rd wave and so far here the rarest figs for me anyway are Hun, April, Splinter and Mutations footsoldier. Just these figs always seem to fly off shelves pretty fast.

Over there in the states what are you guys finding the most "common"?

For me it's Casey Jones. He's at every store that sells TMNT and a Myers store near me has 8 of him and nobody else.

What part of Mass. are you from? I can ALWAYS find at least 3 Huns per store. Now the Armorized Shredder... I had it in my hands one day (no money to buy it) and I never saw it again! I'm gonna have to break down and get Mutation Shredder instead...

I live in North Carolina and have yet to see any Amorized Shredder figures. I have seen plenty of the Foot Elite and Armor Turtles, and they came out in the same wave.

It seems you guys are lucky in the states, but up here in BC all I can find now are the regular, fighting gear, and extreme sports turtles, with the occasional splinter or april. I've yet to see an armourized shredder or foot tech. In fact, maybe someone else can tell me. Have these figures even been shipped to Canada yet? The last new figs I saw were a foot elite and foot gunner. (only had enough for 1, foot gunner was gone the next day :( )

I'm from the northshore area. I live in Marblehead, it's near Salem, Lynn Swampscott, etc. I do most of my TMNT shopping in the Danvers area.

Yeah... near Boston, Cambridge, Sommerville... places like that, especially Target, the Huns just don't wanna be sold... I may just buy one out of pitty, even though i never cared Much for Hun.

I can't even find a foot tech on ebay. I only saw like 2 here in Milwaukee, I bought one and opened it, thinking I would find plenty more. Boy was I wrong. I did see 3 Armorized Shredders in the past 2 days though.

Rare? i have seen only one foot soldier since like november, and hun has dissapered as well, none of the new toys have shown up in my home town yet either, ive only seen the foot tech once as well

I saw a buttload of Shredders at my Wal-mart. The only toys I seem to find are rare are the foot gunner which I have yet to see one of any where and the elite foot ninja. I wanted to buy 4 but I have trouble finding one at any store

Yeah, it seems like the gunners are getting pretty rare. I used to see them all the time, but now my guess is that since the other Foot Soldiers have become pretty scarce, people have been buying them in order to have someone to fight on Shredder's side. I was going to get one myself for that reason, but then I couldn't find one. Ah well, hopefully they'll bring more Foot Soldiers out someday so Shredder's not so alone on the battlefield. :goof:

it took me about two months to get 4 elite foots, I was at the point of going to stores twice a week to get them.

I haven't seen a Foot Tech, a Foot Gunner or a Foot Ninja in a long time around here.

i found the foot gunner, turtle toddlers and turtle titan at toysrus today.
i read somewhere that figures like the fire foot mystic and turtle toddlers only ship one per case. wouldnt that make them by default hard to find or rare. if this is true does anyone know what other figures were shipped this way ?

Nope, the Toddlers and Mikey are 3 per case. The Foot Mystic and Turtlebot are 1 per case. But they'll continue to ship for some time. There is a rumor that the current Mikey/Toddler/Mystic/Turtlebot case also includes 5 Basic Foot Soldiers. But I haven't been able to confirm this yet. :)

I don't know about 5, but there's at least one regular Foot Soldier in that case, because when I found the Mystic,Turtlebot, and Turtle Titan, I also saw a Foot Soldier for the first time in months. I would've bought him(since I only bought one the first time), but to me new figures take priority over army builders.

YAYNESS I got the Foot Gunner Ninja today! Wow such luck I have! I was ion Wal-greens of all places and I saw they had a few turtles toys in the toy section. I always look and today was just my day. I moved Casey Jones outa the way and some weird looking Don and I saw buried behind them a Foot Gunner Ninja, I was all like "YAY" So yeah I paid a little more for it then I usually do for toys but hes a rare one so I didnt mind. :D Ive looked all over everywhere to find one of these its almost sad I found one at a Wal-greens. Oh well

I went out today and I think I pretty much saw every figure that's been out of the old waves except Hun, Foot Tech, and the regular foot solider. I saw one armorized shredder adn two foot gunners so they seem to still be shipping. If you're looking for Foot Tech and regular foot soliders you might want to check stores like Fred's and drugstore type places beacuse usually they don't sell that much stuff and old product lingers.

Out of the new ones it looks like Turtlebot and the Toddler Turtles are packed less then the other two since I didn't see those two at all but saw at least two of FFMystic and TT.

Nope, the Toddler's are 3 per case. They're just more popular then the other figures in the wave. As far as I know it's Mikey: 3, Toddlers: 3, Fire Foot Mystic: 1, Turtlebots: 1. :)

I'm going by a report I got from someone who saw a case opened. I've not confirmed it myself. So right now it's only 'rumored' to be the case. :)

I went to Walmart yesterday and they had the new figures up among a slew of the previous releases. I saw 1 Foot Fire Mystic, 2 Toddlers, 2 Mikes. I also saw a regular Foot Soldier. I bought them all and reviewed them http://www.2005boards.com/showthread.php?t=41504.

Turtlebot was noteabley absent. On an excursion to Target today, I saw a single lone Fire Mystic on the peg with the previous waves.
