I dunno if anyone has posted this before but who do you think would win a fight between Shredder and Jason Voorhees?

Depends on which Shredder. Old Cartoon Shredder would probably make a getaway. Mirage or New Cartoon Shredder would have plenty of cannon fodder and explosives to take care of the job.
Of course, Shredder isn't Jason's typical victim type, so I don't think Jason would pursue him. Shredder is only a potential victim if he's in Jason's way.l

It's hard to say. All the Shredders are good fighters, the FB one isn't human and his android body prolly makes him tough. Tho even an android robot didn't stand a chance against Jason (see Jason X). I dunno, I think prolly Jason would kill him.

It depends on which Shredder and which Jason.
The original cartoon Shredder wouldn't have a chance against Jason/Jason X unless he got some new weapon/technology from Dimention X.
I think the new cartoon Shredder could beat Jason. I don't think that Jason could regenerate so he would probably be torn to pieces. I'm not sure about the Jason from Jason X. It would be a good match.

Well I dunno. Jason miraclously survives each time, cuz he always shows up in the next movie.

Yeah he does magically appear unharmed in the next movie. But I'm not sure if he could come back if he has been completely torn to shreds. I mean like real tiny pieces.

Shredder has a tendency to do that as well.

Old cartoon shredder would get his ass kicked...Mirage shredder would put up more of a fight but still lose. 2K3 Shredder might win.

Jason does not die, no matter what you do to him.

I think they haven't tried hard enough. No one has had the power/weapon/technology strong enough to do some serious damage. The only being that went against him that had power was Freddy. Other people that went against him were just regular people.
But I guess as long as Jason is profitable he we never really die. They would never kill off something that could make them millions. In reality the only thing that could probably kill him is his movie bombing at the box office. :kgrin:

I kinda tend towards Jason winning but I still think ole Shred Head would put a good fight. It would also kinda depend on where they fought.

In Jason goes to Hell, he was blown up into tiny peices. but a guy ate his heart and he came back. so, yeah, shredding him wouldn't help.

I haven't seen all of the Friday the 13th movies. I'll rent Jason goes to Hell sometime.
Did they ever cremate him?

Jason would win, no matter which Shredder it was.

Only 2K3 Shredder could stand a chance. But even he couldn't kill Jason because Jason can't die. People have allready mentioned Jason goes to hell which explains most of it. Shredder might win a battle and think he killed Jason, but Jason would just come back again and again until Shredder was dead. Shredder on the other hand is mortal. Jason wins, Shredder dies.

According to Jason Goes to Hell the only way to kill Jason is to have a member of his bloodline stab him through the heart. And that worked until Freddy ressurected him in Freddy vs Jason.
You can't kill Jason, but you can imprison him. That's how everyone else beats Jason in the Friday movies.
Friday the 13th: He's not in this one, the ending was just a hallucination.
Friday the 13th part 2: Jason gets macheted in the shoulder and is briefly down for the count (keep in mind Jason is still a human in this movie, not yet a zombie).
Friday the 13th part 3: Jason gets axed in the forehead. The mask and scar tissue from his deformity protect his skull and brain but the blow knocks him out.
Friday the 13th part 4: Jason gets a machete square in the side of the face, falls on it and runs it through his brain. He still isn't dead so Tommy Jarvis (played by a young Donatello) hacks him in the back repeatedly with the machete. He "dies".
Friday the 13th part 5: He's not in this one. The killer is an imposter named "Roy". Jason's still buried in his coffin
Friday the 13th part 6: He gets brought back by a bolt of lightning to the heart which sort of "wakes him up". He's a zombie from this point on, BTW. Anyway, he gets chained to a boulder and sent to the bottom of Crystal Lake at the end of this one.
Friday the 13th part 7: He gets crushed by a collapsing dock and stuck beneath Crystal Lake yet again.
Friday the 13th part 8: A flood of toxic waste in the Manhatten sewers overwhelms him and burns the crap out of him. It also causes his mask to get fused to his face and his body to bloat up really bad (as seen in the next flick).
Jason Goes to Hell: He actually dies in this one. His niece stabs him through the heart with a dagger and demons carry his soul to hell and leave his body buried beneath the earth.
Freddy vs Jason: He gets hacked up pretty bad by Freddy but lives (and wins too!).
Jason X: He gets burned up reentering Earth 2's atmosphere and his remains land in a lake. The ending is ambiguous as to how much of him survived reentry.
So there's only one instance when Jason ever really dies, and that's in Jason Goes to Hell. He sorta dies in part 4, but that's debateable since he already had the Hellbaby curse on his head at that point.
So it is possible for Shredder to defeat him in battle, maybe. But Shredder could never actually kill him.
BTW, I'm a big horror movie fan.

I have seen Freddy vs Jason but not Jason Goes to Hell. I know Freddy vs Jason came out after Jason Goes to Hell but is there anything in either movie that indicates which events happened first storywise?

That's part of the confusion here. People are discussing 2 different things here. Who would win in a fight and who could (eventually) kill who.

I'm not sure what kind of horror films you like but Dead and Breakfast looks interesting.

I think he hit the nail on the head with that one. Seems like most people agree that Jason would eventually kill Shredder.
But if the fight was just until someone is rendered unconscience - that would be different. Well I'm still not sure if it would be different. I'm still debating myself on whether or not 2K3 Shredder could even inflict enough damage on Jason to knock him out. I seriously doubt he could.

At the end of Jason Goes to Hell the last shot is of Jason's hockey mask sitting in the dirt. After a few seconds focusing on it Freddy's glove bursts out of the ground, grabs the mask and pulls it under. All the while we hear his sinister laugh.
At the beginning of Freddy vs Jason, Jason is shown rising from beneath the earth since he was last shown buried underground at the end of Jason Goes to Hell.
Now Shredder could kill Jason. No chance about that. But he could beat Jason. All he has to do is cut Jason's head off. Jason cant instantly possess a body, they have to eat his heart first. So if no one is around to eat Jason's heart he's sh*t out of luck.
You also have to take in the fact that Jason never fights anyone with skill. He just picks off retarded teenagers from the shadows. A skilled ninja warrior such as Shredder wouldn't have much trouble taking down Jason in ARMED combat.
However, if it were a fist-fight Shredder wouldn't stand a chance. Those of you who have seen Friday the 13th part 8 know what I'm talking about.

I think I remember that. That is when the guy(boxer maybe) kept on punching Jason in the face/mask. Just as they got to the edge of the roof the guy got tired and stopped then Jason knocked his head off with one punch.

Jason cant be killed and from what Ive seen nither can Shredder so they would just fight and fight spawning tons of horrible movies.
Did you know they want to put Ash the awesome Evil Dead hero in the next Freddy Vs Jason movie? I hope Bruce Campbell says no

Ash in Freddy vs Jason 2 was just a bad rumor. Newline allready shot that one down.

The FB Shredder comes back to life time and time again, for obvious reasons. But the other versions of Shredder would not have lived against Jason, since they are human. Again just my opinion of who would win the match.
