Baxter Stockman Figure Update

This is from JayC over at Toy News International Forums!
I was talking to the folks at Playmates and they confimred the Baxter figure will be the Spider Robot. We should have pics of it and Usagi Yojimbo in a couple weeks.

Good to hear. But I still bet there will be something more to him then that. Hopefully a Utrom Body Suit. The City at War version, so you can plug Baxter's head onto the neck of it. If not, I'll buy 2 Utroms when they come out and 2 or 3 Baxter's and customize them myself. And then I'll have to start work on customizing a basic baxter. :)

yes the new is very good to hear! I'm excited in any case I can't wait to see Usagi! Baxter I have wanted for a long time now I'm glad we are getting him I really hope he is done well I hope he's not like the bat man the animated series mr. freez and a big head and spider body which is extremely out of perportion I'd die if they did that to baxter......
but we are getting him the fans naggin has seemed to work!
We just need to nag them for Purple Dragons now!

It's going to be interesting to see. I highly doubt Playmates would make it a huge head. But if it is sized the way it's supposed to be, they can't charge the regular price cuz it won't be anywhere near the size of the regular figs. They're going to have to throw something else with it or something. The idea with putting him in an exo-suit is an excellent one. I just realized I'm going to have to buy a bunch of those utroms so i don't make the same mistake i did with the foot soldiers....i only have two of em. :cry:

I like the idea of having him in his spider form. They can have his head stay the same size but enlarge the spider portion to "normal figure size" proportions. It has the potential to look very cool and it would be nice change of pace in a series of mostly humanoid, upright walking characters. Perhaps through in some mousers as accessories, I know they're releasing a six pack but still..... hmmmmm... maybe they'll combine the two, have the six mousers and a correctly sized Spider-Baxter? Well, I'm sure we'll find out soon enough.
