I'd love to have a second game, but I'm still working on the first one. I've seen many people complaining about the new game, but I love it. It reminds me of the NES/Arcade games, just more 3d-like. Would be nice to have been able to have four player, but that doesn't ruin my impression of the game.
If Konami does make a new game, I think it should have four players though. Also would be cool to include Casey and Splinter as playable right away, and not be hidden characters.

I liked the new game at first too but then it got boreing because I had beaten the same however many levels with 6 characters. The levels have no changes except on occasion theres a different boss in one level with a certin character then when your someone else

I don't think they even have a 4 player thing for PS2 yet?. How is it gonna be 4 players with only 2 controlers. I hope they make the GBA game better. It gets a little boring after awhile.

They have a multitap that allows you to have 4 players on PS2

Yes, I have a ps2, multitap, and four controllers, but I can't find any good 4-player games. I really hope they make the next one 4-p.

i read something a while back. it was an interview w/ the pres of konami and he was talking about the new and old TMNT games. i know he said he wanted to make another one because b4 he was pres he was part of teh team who made all the other TMNT games. and that if there was a second game to come out he wwants to some how put some of the old school games into it as like a bon us mode. he wanted to do that for the first game but then decided that would be to much. so we can only hope....and i think we should all email konami and demand 4players for all consoles. and yes i know PS2 needs a multi tap but if TMNT was a 4 player for it i would go out and buy 1 w/ the game in a heart beat.

Do you have Timesplitters 2, wrestling games, project eden, crash nitro kart? Not sure what games you like though...

I think it would be cool if the game was based on one the original comic stories that hasn't been made into an episode yet. But I don't think that will happen.
At 4kidsentertainment.com (I think that's the website URL) it says TMNT game 2 will release year. I've been searching the net for any other site that has any info, and I've found none. So hopefully at E3, TMNT 2 will make it's debut and have 4-players which is what I'm sure it will have. I think the reason the first one was 2, was because as long as the second game improves story, gameplay, and add 4 multiplayer, it'll beat the first one. It's a strategic move.

If it is 4 players. The arcade games are being put on it.They would not make it 4 players. If the Arcade games were not on it.Finish the new game to unlock old Arcade games.I would play those more then the new game.

You seem pretty confident.Use the spacebar between sentences.Please.It makes your post more readable.Thank You.
Unofficially huh? Could you happen to quote what it said in GMR mag, just for reference. And even if any type of info has leaked out, it's very likely that the game will debut at E3. And 4 players is the first approach I'd hope Konami would take. But thanks for the info.

Basically the only reason that the game was 2-player, was because of the PS2. Most games that are going to made for all consoles are made for the PS2, then ported to the other consoles. Konami was just too lazy to fix the multi player mode to make it 4 player, so blame the PS2's lack of a multi tap.

TMB no need to bash on the PS2. I seriously doubt that was the reason. They were just too lazy overall. Ever notice the slow down with only 2 players? It would have taken more time (and especially money) to optimize the engine for 4 player support. Why take time and money to create a quality title when you can release utter crap and still make truck loads of cash? And is there anyone else who thinks the games are going to keep sucking? Cause I sure as hell do.

I too doubt that they'll improve the gameplay much. As you said, why bother to spend money making it better when it will sell anyways just because it's Turtles?

Don't bad-mouth developers unless you have tried your hand at it. Programmers and artists take a great deal of pride in their work and strive to make it the best they can. Particularly at quality gigs like Konami (Capcom, Sega, Nintendo, etc). Despite whatever corporate politics may govern a game's direction, the actual developers who work on the titles should not be so easily dismissed.
(And the TMNT game wasn't half bad either)

Game developers do take pride in what they do, but they're also in the buisness to make money.
The new TMNT game was rushed in my opinion, the last level is crap and so lazily put together, I was really disapointed when I reached it.
Oh look it's the Foot Mystic's AGAIN?! Giant Mouser AGAIN, bloody two of them this time, this= lazy, lazy, lazy.
Plus you don't get to fight Shredder until you finish the game with all four Turtles, jeesh Konami what makes you think I want to do that, the game gets so tedious after Stage three.
The best stages are the first three, I don't like the museum level that much, the background graphics are shoddy and bland, then there's the eye in the sky camera, too far away from the main character.
Konami can do way better than this, I know a lot of you like it but they're not doing the TMNT justice.

Hey Michaelangelo my fellow BDD, I re-read what I typed and it sounded kind of patronizing, wasn't meant to sound that way at all. Just voicing my opinion of game dev since it's close to my heart. ;)

Howdy folks,
We just got in a video tape of the new game, featuring fight animations of Leo VS various enemies (the Elite Guard and Shredder with the Sword of Tengu being but two of them). Since Konami has had more time to work on this game, the models are more detailed and the animation is more fluid. It's lookin' good!
The best news is that the game will be 4 player this time! Konami took your feedback to heart and will be implementing all four Turtles into the action! The tentative release date at this time is October 22, 2004 - approximately one year after the release of the first game.
We'll send out more details as we get 'em. :)
On the rumor front - there is no new film in production at this time. Apparently there are some sites reporting that we've got something under way, but nothing is in development right now. Our agents are always working on the Hollywood execs, trying to get them to see the light - but for now there's still no reel news.
Cheers!
