yup, it comes in a big flat cardboard envelope. Thats how my Early Years and Blindsight came to me.

I got my first one in a cardboard envelope, but I noticed the postage was higher than Dan said it would be (made me feel guilty.)
The second issue came in a plain white paper envelope, with lower postage.

I am SO glad you noticed that too. A bunch of us we suspicious, and turns out we were right!
I was here when it was happening. With both of the names, i asked several times for them to stop, and both names had ignored me, and continued. Me and Speed have a 'not-so-pleasant' convo, and he said that i couldnnt tell new people not to spam, and that i couldnt make him help clean up his mess, and completely disappears.

Then Mike tells me about this NNS who had started his stuff. I told him to cut it out as well, and he had said, and i quote " you cant stop me, you can ban me, but i'll just come back under another name like ninjaturtlessucktoo."
I suddenly came up with an idea and asked him what country he was from. He had said norway. I looked at the facts and noticed how both NNS and Speed had an interest in norway, and mentioned it to him as well. He suddenly asked 'Do you know who this is? b/c i am lying' and I said 'actually, i know him quite well...'

NNS suddenly disappears, and Speed returns and says that he'll help me clean up GD, but he never did. I took 2 and a half hours cleaning it up and that was just 13 pages! Poor HT has a Heck of a lot more to clean up! I think Speed has gone too far, but I will trust in your judgement.

LOL! TMNT comics have NEVER been monthly. There's only Laird and Lawson and maybe a few other people working on this. They can't even have subscription's the schedual's so screwed. It's tradition!

I'm still very weary about reading Image TMNT comics. I enjoyed the Savage Dragon crossover, but all of the TMNT were "normal." No missing eyes, limbs, or mutilation.

First issue came out in December 2001. Two months later, in February 2002, the second issue came out. Two months after that, in April 2002, the third issue is supposed to come out. I believe that is a bi-monthly (i.e. once every other month) schedule.

There are two things that I am glad of in this world.

I didnt mind the fblindness in one eye in Archie, but Image pretty much mangled the guys beyond recognition. I think they wanted to finish the series with the death of all the characters or something...I hated the mangling, especially splinter and Leo...

i found the kimodo guy very interesting(and very similar to the way i draw my Xbreeds), and the giant shark guy was once in a dream i had. Not fun...

Image made it more realistic though! I mean, the turtles have to get hurt, a litle more than "ouch". It needed to happen. They could never be THAT powerful. the only comics made of the turtles i dont like are Archies.

Hmmmmm Yeah sure they should get hurt. Heck, I like to hurt them every now and then. But Image seems to have tried to do the most damage in the least amount of time. Sadly over here in England we didn't get many of the comics. So I can't really stand up and say much.

Yes, the turtles should get hurt every now and then, but it seems as though Image didn't approach that from the right angle. Only twenty something issues, and the turtles and Splinter undergo serious changes. I don't think that's enough time. But that's just my two cents :wink:

Mirage did hurt the Turtles. In an early issue Mike got a really bad cut. And when the Shredder returned Leo nearly died! And Don's leg(?) injury in City at War. And every time they fought, especially the Foot, they were always scratched up and sometimes were cleaning up afterwards.

Image was... extreme. That's the only way to put it.

I only read the Archies, so i never really saw much of the other ones til i joined the online world. Archie did some stuff to the guys too. It wasnt really permanent, but it was bad, especially the stuff they did to mike. Blinding him, getting him kidnapped and tortured by the US Government, and then demutating him and getting him back to normal, but with a younger mind...

Well, after TNM, I thought they were done for. I still liked them, but they became hidden in the back of my mind. I never lost interest; I just forgot about them. Then, one fateful day in January of this year, I was bored at the dorms and did some surfing (the net, not beach surfing :wink: ). Lo and behold, someone posted a link to the official site. My first reaction was "THEY HAVE AN OFFICIAL SITE??" Once I clicked on that link, I became a hardcore turtleholic once more. I discovered that many TMNT fans built online communities, and I never knew so many TMNT fan sites existed. Then, one day in February, I ran into the Technodrome. The rest is history!

Hmmmmmm now my own story.......

It was Christmas time last year and Ana was at the Pre-school party. So I went up on the computer. Fed up with searching for the X-Men I decided to do a search on the turtles. The rest is history!

Needles to say when my mum found out about the awakening, she said she thought I had grown up! I ask you!

Shyaa... hubby still hasn't accepted the fact I'm a TMNT fanatic. When we first met, I was not into TMNT - then he had to go back to Korea for a year or so.

But, believe it or not, it *was* the Image comic that woke me up! Actually, it was the letters section that did it. Some of the fans there left adddresses for people to snail mail them, and through writing to them I found out about fanfics, mailing lists, the websites... wow, life is good!

Then fiancee-to-become-hubby came back, and was shocked to see this new side of me. :razz:

Most people who were here were still teenagers in 2002, with only a few older ones. Whenever you look back at old posts you have to realize, "Man this was really 20+ years ago" and then you look at your current age and subtract 20 years and...man...we really were just kids back then weren't we?

The early internet was like a bunch of middle school kids and elementary school kids arguing with one another. Even all the mods on forums back then were teens themselves, it was like middle school on the internet.
