ok theres a thread for whats wrong with the new tmnt game, but what would you like in the next game that is comming out?
me i would like to see them use more stealth, than just straight fighting, i mean they are ninjas after all
4 player action would be nice, better graphics, and online play.

Vehicles. The Sewer Slider, The Shell Cycle, The Battle Shell, etc.
A large overworld similar to something from the very first TMNT game on the NES or something like Sonic Adventure's Adventure fields. Going straight from level to level is a little boring.

I doubt this would ever happen, but adapting Turtles in Space to a video game might be very amusing

Make it like Star Wars: KOTOR or Ninja Gaiden and a new game would rock.
I agree that having a broad world/city to explore would be great, instead of going straight from level to level. Does anyone remember the old Manhattan Missions game on PC? (If not, you should be able to get it from the-underdogs.org...) One of my favorite games ever, and probably my favorite TMNT game (with the possible exception of Tournament Fighters on SNES). In that one you had the sewer lair as a hub, but could visit different locations throughout the city in pretty much whatever order you wanted (except for the ones that were opened by the completions of other objectives) -- even though each location constituted a "level" of sorts and you couldn't go back. But if this concept were revisited for a new game and if locations could be revisited to see what's changed over time, that would be great. More RPG aspects would be nice too, like having to rescue innocents in danger and being able to find those innocents later for favors, subquests, etc. And of course it's got to have a 4 player option, though that might be kind of difficult if the game were like I described above. So I'd say there could be a deeper 1 (or maybe 2) player story mode, but then there could also be an "arcade" mode where you could take up to 4 players through the levels in succession, minus the subquests and interaction with NPCs. Kinda like Turtle Tomba on the one hand and TMNT II: The Arcade Game on the other. I'd love to be involved with the creation of such a game.

It'd be great of Konami just re-released both Arcade games, with a four-player option, on PS2, GCN, and XBox.
As far as a NEW game goes, I'd like to see more variety in gameplay, and some more classic beat'em-up concepts introduced. Pretty much, I guess, just make a new TMNT game that plays exactly like TMNT: The Arcade Game, Turtles in Time, The Manhatten Project, or Hyperstone Heist, but with extended options. So here's how I'd set the game up:
-a return to the side-scrolling view. 3D elements don't work very well in a 2D environment, but the graphics could still be done in 3D. The camera could even be controllable in certain areas, I suppose.
-Four-player capability, with Leo, Raph, Don, Mike, Casey, and Splinter all immediately playable.
-April, Fugitoid, and an Utrom (in Exoskeleton) should be some (if not all) hidden/unlockable characters.
-Classic Beat'em-up stages (parentheses indicate possible suggestions of how they could fit in with Season 2): Streets (NYC), Jungle (Triceraton Homeworld), Beach (Sewers?), vehicle (several good ideas were mentioned in earlier posts), warehouse (above-ground TCRI building), villain HQ (underground TCRI building), etc.
-after beating the game with all four turtles, you should be able to play as any turtle with any weapon. (i.e., Leo with nunchaku, Don with katana, etc.)
-Casey should have multiple weapons. They could randomly generate at the start of every level, and even play exactly the same.
-One background, one boss. No seperate areas per level. Or at least have lots of mini-bosses.
...that's all I can think of for now. Like I said, it'd really just be like the arcade games, only updated for the FoxBox 'toon.

What I thought of when you said that was Viewtiful Joe for the Gamecube. I dunno if you've played it, but the game is 3D, but uses a 2D viewpoint. You go around corners and such however though, in 3D, but just curves automatically as you walk...
Get what I'm trying to say?
Edit: And anyone ever play Tenchu? That game just SCREAMS TMNT. ;)

The Main thugs should be Robot Foot Soldiers,Then Utroms in some levels. The Last level should be the New Foot Headquarters if turns out be the Technodrome even better or something else. The Shredder Utrom should fight in the Saki suit then the Shredder suit.Since the game would put every enemy on the Foot.Have Mortu in the Exo Skelton fight like Krang and make him just as hard.4 players Unlockables Arcade game.
The Graphics should be 2D with 3D backgrounds.First Stage Sewers and Streets Enemies Foot Soldiers,Mousers,Tricartons.Mid Boss Utrom Guardiuns 2.Boss General Moz.The next 5 Stages part of Season 2.Stage 6 City at war enemies Foot Soldiers,Purple Dragons,Mousers.Mid Bosses 4 Elite Foot at the Same time,2 Karai guards Karai.Boss LeatherHead make him have knifes.Stage 7 Utrom Building Enemies Foot Soldiers,Utroms,Mousers,Flippers.Mid Boss Utrom Guardiuns.Boss Mortu.Stage 8 New Foot Headquarters Enemies Foot Soldiers every enemy from the other Stages,Mid boss re fights.Boss re fights Final Boss Shredder.

4 Player Action
More Moves
Using Vehicles
Being able to rotate the Camera.
Other than that, i wouldnt change a damn thing, the beat em up style is the best style for a turtles game. I wouldnt want it any different.
although, i wouldnt mind a old school tmnt unlockable... in which foot soliders turn into their classic look and so do the turtles.

everything Psycho Andy said, especially about the sidescrolling! it could be like Super Smash Bros. I gotta agree with the 4 player and Internet play, also making Splinter and Casey readily available to play characters would be cool.
If your going to have to unlock or gain abilities, don't make them basic attacks like air attack for gods sake! Make it more like Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. have Power meter like street fighter, have a guard and guard crunch or something, make it more like a fighting game all around.
But above all else...MULTI COLORED RAINBOW FOOT SOLDERSEspecially purple, Burgundy, yellow and blue!
TMNT 20th ANNIVERSARY COLLECTION
Now that would be the ultimate unlockable secret! Maybe even have remastered graphics like the GBA quality.

I like the idea of using vehicles and stuff, I always liked 'Sewer Surfin' in Turtles in Time.

Why not a 'Turtles in Space' based game? We could have the Triceratons, Fugitoid, Blanque, and the like! And all the alien stuff means lotsa originality.
Barring that, TMNT: The RPG. Just make a generic story, I'd still buy it. :P

(Posted this in other thread, but just want all of you in this one to see it)Does anyone else think that the new Turtles game should be like GTA with a big city that you could prowl around in and street crimes would randomly happen like in True Crime, and you could go on the streets, rooftops, and into the sewers. But also, I think that you could sneak around in the shadows like in Splinter Cell, because the TMNT are ninjas. I mean, they have already done all of these things in other games so I thik that it is definitly possible. The only thing is that if they made it like that, thn there would most definitly be no four or even two player support.
But still, wouldn't that be an amazing game?
Also, I think that they should have a crazy foot soldier weapon variety like in the old games.

OOh I just saw the entry above mine. Turtles in Space, now that would also be an amazing idea, even if they made it just like the first one, but with triceratons and federation guys (and four player support of course)

Yeah, i agree. Something in the style of Viewtiful Joe, but Turtles could be really nice. If it was a platform 2d scroller, i'd say the moves have to be increased. Ina way a kind of overhual has to happen so that there are intricate play mechanics to help you mix up the play and whoop ass. Otherwise, it can get boring if you repeat the same moves over and over again. Also, good thing about VJ was the collection system that helped you buy new moves or power-ups. This time it could be pizza slices that you collect which gives up a "Turtle Power" and allows you to radically move fast and produce limitless attack combos. Also lots of unlockables and 4 player action would be sweet.
either VJ style, or a serious style Turtle Ninja game. Where it's in 3D-but it's got a gritty Ninja assasin type feel to it. However, it'd be really violent and i don't think we'd ever see that kind of game.
Or perhaps a Beat-'em-up. " players versus each other. You can choose from a wide range of Turtle characters from the whole universe and unlock loads more besides. It could be Turtles Versus Capcom type of thing- a 2D fighter with LOADS of moves and a light-hearted tone, or perhaps a 3d fighter like Tekken or Virtua Fighter where it's more graphic and serious.
There are possibilities. We shouldn't have to always see the same rehashed 2d scrollers.

What would I like? A Dynasty Warrior type of game. Where you can pick certain members to go on your team with you (like the other turtles and casey and such) That would make the odds much more fair.
And since that's not gonna happen, I would just like to see less enemies piling on you. As that got annoying....real real fast. @___@~!

said this elsewhere but I'd love to see Tobal 2 (which stupidly never came out here) have the rights bought and be turtle-ized and brought here.
You'd get quest mode, vs. fighting greatness and character customization.
It's obvious and it seems that the next turtle game to be released must be 4-player compatability. I wrote a ton of ideas in a newer post called TMNT 2.
