I finally was able to get my hands on the new figures and like I did with the mutating figures, I'm writing a review.
Toddler Turtles
This four pack is a must have and I figure everyone knows that already. Each figure, all from the same mold, are two and a half inches tall and come with a training version of their signature weapon.
With only four points of articulation a piece, movement is limited but acceptable given their size. Plus they are the cutest toys.
I give them a 9/10, a must buy and great value.
Turtle Titan
Our very own caped crusader! This figure has nine points of articulation, three on each arm, one on the legs and the head. His acessories are the Turtle Shield and the grappling hook. He also has a belt that looks like the regular turtle belt with no place to put weapons. In my figure, the head seems a little loose and shakes a bit. My biggest complaint is the facial expression. He looks too evil to be Mikey.
I give this a 7.5/10, a must for Mikey fans and collectors, but nothing remarkable for the line.
Turtlebot
Like the Foot Gunner, this figure has some turtle-esque features and some that seem more like "where did this come from?" He only has five points of articulation which bothers me. One interesting aspect are his hands/claws which are spring loaded so he can easily hold onto weapons. For weapons he gets two katanas and a bo in clear yellow plastic. Given the limitedness of the figure, I wish they had given him sais and nunchakus as well. Last, his shell can flip up to show a motor, I don't know why. I know he had a jetpack back there in the game but it seems stupid.
I give him a 6/10. Not horrible but not the best figure in the series.
Foot Fire Mystic
This guy is unlike any other ninja turtle figure I've ever seen. He has "five" points of articulation and by "five" I mean, there is no point in moving his legs and one of his arms. In fact, his left arm can't even really move at all. On top of that, he shares some similar attributes with Foot Ninjas and Splinter in that they are a pain to stand up. His sandals make it near impossible for him to stay up. For acessories, he has a red bo double ended axe thing, a flaming brass knuckle and a giant flame to put on the red bo thing. Given the size of this figure's head, he is VERY top heavy. I am willing to bet that his head weighs as much as the rest of the figure.
On a side note, to those who own this figure, why can you see his toes when the same red covering is clearly a shirt on his arms?
I give this guy a 5/10. I've seen worse in figures but he is a far cry from the best. I just hope they change the mold for the other four mystics.
And that sums up these four figures. In other news, should I even bother writing these reviews?
