*jumps excitedly* yes yes! pick me pick me!!!

ahem...

1. for the turtles' background story, will the guys have had a real childhood, or will they have just immediately gone to teenage status?

1b. Will the five main characters be more closely knit (like family) like in the movies?

2. Will Splinter be more involved (like the archie comics) and not just some little furry raisin giving rare bits of advice?

2b. Please tell me, is Splinter gonna be good looking? (trust me, its a question many have asked...)

3. Have they planned on voice actors yet? Have they considered using the originals from the first cartoon?

3b. Will Michelangelo be the same surferologist like in the cartoon, or will he be more artistic, like in the comics?

That's all i can think of for now....

About the good looking Splinter question...Im going to ask him if the toys shown will are what they wil look like on the cartoon, so you can judge from that ;-) Anyone else? Hurry and ask, cause I wanna send him the email this weekend.

Okay. These are the ones i found most important:

1: Usage of weapons. Will there be any? I mean do they use their weapons at living targets?

2: Shredder. Judging from the looks of the toy he seems robotic. He is not a robot is he?

3:Death. Will their enemies die in any cases?

Well those are the most important things i would want to know...

Umm, how about:

Will there be an updated version of the Turtle Van? How will they travel in the series?

Are any writers from the previous toon going to write scripts for the new one (e.g. David Wise, Michael Reaves)?

Wow... That was very informative! Thanks for sharing, Mike!

Edit: I hit the submit button too early! *curses*

I'm very excited that Baxter will be based off of the Mirage version. Very cool. It looks like he hinted towards the rumor of that new comic book series, too. Man, there's a lot of stuff to digest.

His answer to my splinter question vexes me....but otherwise, good! :D

Raphael

Excellent, the TMNT will use their weapons. That's good. :)

Karpo_007
09-16-2002, 02:35 PM
Yeah looking good! But if there is no death... what is going to happen to shredder? Prison? I hope atleast that he vanishes..

Mike
09-16-2002, 02:46 PM
Yea, to me that was the only let down, besides the possibility of a bunch of variants.

Machias Banshee
09-16-2002, 02:54 PM
this answer seems to be my only letup...

~Splinter will be more like he was in the comics.~

which ones!? I mean, is gonna be like those Weird Splinters from Mirage, or the dashing and daring Splinter from Archie, or have one foot in the grave like Image?!?!?!?!?! AUUUUUUUUUUUUUGGGGGGGHHHHHH!!!!!!

*thud*

Karpo_007
09-16-2002, 03:21 PM
Weird in mirage?! That is the original!

Mike
09-16-2002, 03:29 PM
Im just about dead positive he meant Mirage.

Machias Banshee
09-16-2002, 03:36 PM
Okay...

I mean weird as in...well, some of the weird ones we've looked at here in the forums...

*blinks* oh cool.. they'll actually be taking their masks off!

Hehe... hey, thanks for the really interesting interview, Mike. :D

Machias Banshee

Ithink they look so sweet when they take them off! :D

Kali

I know, they're taking their masks off, I was so excited when I read that. They hardly ever did that in the old cartoon.

Mike
09-16-2002, 04:28 PM
That will be cool! So, you think I did good for my first interview? :D

Machias Banshee
09-16-2002, 04:32 PM
*A mountain of mangoes showers onto Mike, practically burying him...*

Yup, i think so.... :D

I know, they're taking their masks off, I was so excited when I read that. They hardly ever did that in the old cartoon.

Let's see...

They took their masks off when they went to sleep.

In "April Foolish," when the security personnel at the costume ball sealed all the exits and asked everyone to remove their masks, the Turtles happily obliged as well.

They also took their masks off whenever they were in their winter clothes (down coats and wool hats).

That's all I can remember.

Machias Banshee
09-16-2002, 08:18 PM
I thought they looked very handsome in their winter clothing... :D

I thought the mask thing was interesting... They lose their pupils when the masks are on, but they get 'em back when the masks are off. I think it's cool. :D Yo Mike, I'll post about your interview sometime tomorrow. I've got a short amount of time to update a neglected website.

"like a page torn right out of the old Mirage books"
"sophisticated storyarcs"

Pinch me, I must be dreaming... :)

Karpo_007
09-17-2002, 09:35 AM
well, if it's so close to the comics, then why there is no death? What is going to happen to shredder? And the pupil thing is same in mirage. They have pupils when their bandanas are off.

Kali
09-17-2002, 09:46 AM
Well, they can't make this exactly like the comics. And I think that would be redundant anyway. They might be able to imply death, but they definitely couldn't have it on screen. Besides, I think it would add to suspense if Shredder "just disappeared", like they couldn't find his body or something. Then he could come back.

Oddly, I didn't even notice the pupil thing in the comics until re-reading my Donatello one-shot yesterday.

Karpo_007
09-17-2002, 09:53 AM
Well i remember it cause im reading volume 1 every day! Well i think they could pull of a same kind of death like in the first issue. Nothing is really shown, just explosion and piece of his armor.

HorseTechie
09-17-2002, 11:25 AM
Yeah.. that's my point. Tryingto recall instances when the Turtles aren't wearing there masks in the old cartoons are rare! Same with the movies.

That's what I liked about the comics. They seem so realistic/down to earth. Like most 'super hero' types, they aren't wearing their gear 24/7. The fight face, and then the everyday face.

Karpo_007
09-17-2002, 03:35 PM
Like Bruce Wayne and Batman?

HorseTechie
09-18-2002, 10:31 AM
Yeah! ;)

In this case, it's prolly like Leo to Leonardo the Ninja Turtle.

im still a bit confused about the explanation of Michelangelo's personality. Is he surfer dude or artist man now???? I would really hope he leans more towards the creative artist type....... that surfer thing got annoying.
