Meet them at a con and have them sign it.

I'm 99% sure it is. There's really no reason to forge Kev and petes autographs, cuz they're not worth nearly as mich as other autos.

It's just that there names aren't as big as many other comic creators and artists...Because, well, it's an Indy comic and it's not mainstream enough.

I got a signed Vol 2 #1 for $3 on ebay. :o
it certainly seems authentic, it's also got sketches which seem to be "real"

Once I met Peter and gave him a #1 , 3rd printing to sign. He said it was the first #1 he ever signed.....dunno if it's true or not. But at least it's real.
I don't think I've ever heard of a fake Eastman or Laird autograph.
The only time I would want a forged signature of theirs would be on the
counterfiet copy of #1, because a real signature just wouldn't be right.

Because it's a fake copy obviously. I want some kind of Mirage TMNT sketch signed by them both. I would frame it and hang it right in the middle of my wall. God that would be so awesome!

For those of you who went to a Con, where did you go? I heard Eastman can be found in San Diego, so alas i'm going this year! But I really want Peter's sig too. I heard that he shows up once in awhile to local comic shops in Northampton.
I dont see why peter wont make it to San Diego as well.
I cant wait! I'm going to the con, wearing my turtle shirt and getting a small stack of books signed, then I want to get them graded. :)
And of course talk to Kevin for a min or 2. I was thinking about bringing a sketch book with me this year...

Well, I met Peter, Jim Lawson, A.C. Farley, Stan Sakai, Dean Clarrain, Dan Berger, Eric Talbot, and Michael Dooney at a con in Philadelphia in 1993. They had a Mirage booth set up and were selling "City at War" original pages. Alas, I only bought one. They were promoting TMNT vol. 2 #1 which had just come out. The next year, I went back and Eric Talbot, Mark Bode and Chris Allan were there only.
I have gone to a few cons that Kevin was supposed to show up at, but he cancelled. Never been to San Diego though..maybe one day.

I wrote to Dan Berger, head of ninjaturtles.com and asked him where you might find peter and kevin for a signing:
"Peter and the Mirage crew are currently planning on attending the Wizard World Con in Philadelphia this May 21-23 - but we've been having problems with their organizers, so I can't guarantee that we'll be there (supposedly we have a table, but they don't have us on any of their attendance lists).
Peter has no plans to attend San Diego at this time."
But there are plenty of rumors that Kevin does go to San Diego's comic con every year, he lives in LA. So i'd thought I would share!
