I liked Dragon Lord, he might have been a Lord Zedd wannabe, but at least he was the only villian on the show who could...you know..ACT GOOD

I liked that it was a little smarter than the power rangers...there was tmnt dialogue....aside from the cand stuff like "mega shellage!" and "Turt;es rock"
On a side note anyone have the mutant maurader/turtle tracker?? does it still have the california licence...when the tmnt are from NEW YORK!!!

I like the fact that I never saw it.
From what I heard of the plot, I think it woulda done better as an animated feature. But then I am a huge fan of animation anyways.

It was a live action TMNT series (just that part alone is a good thing)

and..uhh, nothing else.. A live action series can be a good thing.. but obviously it can be a very bad thing too :)

What I liked about TNM...Oi, this is a tough one.

Lessee...

-It tried to bring back TMNT, you gotta give it credit for that.
Although, with the way it turned out, I'm glad it didn't and we got the new show instead.

-I thought Shredder's helmet looked pretty cool. The rest of his costume was horrible though, and the helmet didn't look like it was made out of metal at all, but the design was nice.

-Dragonlord's design was also pretty good. Too bad he was a lousy villain, although his motives were original.

And that was all. :)

The second PR main villian. The first was Rita Repulsa. Rita was around when Zedd was, but he was still the main villian.

heh...speaking of Rita Repulsa, she wasn't even part of the Power Rangers cast. Saban just took the Witch Bandora character from Dinosaur task force Zyuranger and gave her a new name.

Yup, though intially she was only japanease footage in MMPR's first season, an american actress took over for the remainder of her apperances and guest apperances in the second, third, fourth, and sixth seasons

I liked meeting two of the actors from the show, Mitch Lee Yuen (Raphael) and Scott McNeil (Bonesteel). Both were very cool, sweet guys! Oh, okay, and what I like about the show is that it's the reason I became a stronger, more dedicated fan of TMNT. It's what made me realize I've loved the fandom all along and never stopped loving it since I first discovered it.

i must admit that this was turtles and if i had been stateside during it's airing...i probably would have watched it. All i have is the "east meets West" mini series i bought at the BX on well base.

Jarrah, you don't hate Next Mutation, you love it, and you clearly decided to bump this up just to keep people talking about what they liked about this show.

Whilst more productive discussion on this show is better than negative 24/7 discussion, there was more than one way to do it without turning your back on what this thread is ABOUT.

Rita and Lord Zedd were good beings once I beleive...corrputed by evil, so naturally they were restored to a more human state when Zordon died.

Well, I don't really like it. However, it was good for getting my TMNT fix back in the day.

Its was a great concept (except for Venus), though. If it hadn't gotten screwed financially it would've been great.

I don't understand why people bring this up all the time.

As a HUGE TMNT fan, and after watching ALL of the Next Mutation episodes on TV and watching the suicidally bad VHS versions I can honestly say there was nothing good about this show.

Their voices were horrible.
Their costumes were horrible.
Their dialog was horrible.
The stupid plot was horrible.
The directing was horrible.

Splinter looked and sounded like a stoner at Taco Bell. Then after hitting his ancient Japanese bong he ate some Doritios and created some of the worst action scenes I have ever seen.

The editing NOT just on the VHS tape (which is much worse) was done by a complete moron or lazy Power Ranger's employee.

Every time they got to one of the TMNT characteristics (Don = Smart / Raph = Mad / etc.) they broke up the devolpment of these things with a lame ass joke that is punishable in the state of Texas by excution of a firing squad.

Venus either was a Yale graduate or had the brain I.Q. of a mentally challenged child.

The creation of the vechicles were done by someone who idea of cool is living at home with his parents.

I think I'm done bashing this. I was in denial years ago, but this was damn BAD! I was ashamed to be a TMNT fan by this.

The comics stayed true.

The first movie is still probably one of my favorite comic book movies.

The old show never thought it was something more than it was.

The 2nd and 3rd movies......1 entertaining / 1 bad but watchable. But lost the edge the first one had thanks to parents. 2nd one I can stand, 3rd one not so much anymore.

The new show is amazing.

I'll always remember all of those. I have enough good to forget one very horrible stain in their past.

I told you what I liked about the Next Mutation......nothing. I liked how it had a cool concept, but that went the minute the show hit the air.

I also like if I made a list of the worst shows I have ever seen on TV I could add this to the top 10. I rather watch BIG BAD BEETLEBORGS!
