Hey dudes, I beleive this is my first topic in the Comics forums, so, enjoy! There's some refreshments over at that table -points-....

Anywho, I just got Issue no. 9 of the Archie series. My first TMNT comic book! Heh heh heh! It's one of the

"EASTMAN and LAIRD'S
TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES
Adventures"

comics. I was so damn excited when I got it. I noticed a few strange things...
1. Splinter looks freaky. His nose is... purple! ...And big!
2. Splinter looks like a canine. I THOUGHT HE WUZ A RAT, MAN!!
3. Raph's pretty mich the only normal looking TMNT. Mikey, Leo, and Donny all look freaky. Their mouths dont fit their faces, their eyes are way too large, and their lower 'lips' make a downwards pint when the smile with their mouths open. EEK!
4. What's with Leo calling his brothers 'brothers' and not by their names? 'Let's go, brothers...'
'On your toes, brothers...'
Ugh.
5. WTF is with the mutagen? In a SPRAY CAN? O.O
6. The Archie ads every 2 pages throughout the comic really piss me off.
7. Rocksteady looks damn creepy.

I mean... MANY... strange things. I odnt wanna waste my time posting them all.

Anywho, basically It was a good comic. Chameleon is so awesome.. I wanna be a chameleon.. :(

Better yet...

TURTLE!!!

Wait... I am a turtle... D'oh!

Any comments?

once again and let first state that I am not bashing him but it seems once again my friends another person has come across jim lawsons art work and disliked it lol. This is the same person drawing the new comic book if you did not know.
The cover is great mind you! but thats because it was done by great artists Peter Laird, Ryan Brown and Steve Lavigne!
is it me or is Jim Lawson drawing in this comic like his does at the moment.
btw Jim always draws splinter oddly...
many artist can not get splinter drawn that well.
that turtle observation is a good one ^_~
the brother thing I think was taken from the cartoon and to show unity.
once again the mutigan in a spray can is a joke I guess like how in every episode just about they had some sort of mutigen going on lol.
the adds well hey the comic had to stay alive some how lol.
Chameleon is a very great character who we never really got to know that much about....he only apeared in one other issue...TMNT Adventures #51
if you havn't seen it you can check it out HERE (http://www.ninjaturtles.com/comics/archie/51/51.htm)

I liked the cover of this issue also. I don't have the actual issue, but I have it in a collected book with a coule of other issues. I also liked how the Knucklehead machine is in this issue also, cause that thing is cool.

Chameleon bothered me... his abilities, anyways... in this issue, he's like a chameleon and changes his skin colours to blend in. In his later appearance, he is a shape shifter, who can adjust his body to form different things (essentially the same as Clayface from the Batman cartoon)... and his number of fingers changed too. I think I wrote a letter to the comic editors about this as a kid as even then it bothered me that the second appearance of the Chameleon had him done so differently than the first.
