I just remembered this when my mom mentioned to me the pigs-in-a-blanket we have in the refrigerator. It was a certain food item slapped with the TMNT label on it. Believe it or not, it had nothing to do with pizza, though it did have meat in it.
Well, in that first paragraph, I pretty much gave the answer away in the first sentence. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, back in the early to mid 1990s I caught sight of TMNT labeled pigs-in-a-blanket. However, I don't think they were the traditional type. These were corn dogish looking things, only instead of hot dogs, they were sausage. Pretty ideal for breakfast, if you ask me.
The only thing that made them TMNT, besides the label, was the fact that the sticks had faces and names of the turtles on them, painted in their respective colors (e.g. orange for Michelangelo etc.).
Odd, eh? Just thought I'd share that in case anybody else knows what I'm talking about.

Woah... I've heard of pizza, cereal, and fruit chews, but never TMNT pigs-in-a-blanket. That's amazing. It's hard to believe how big they were in the early 90s.

There used to be ice-cream bars of the TMNT. They had gumballs for eyes.

I used to like that cereal. :trazz:
"Used to be ice cream bars"?!? Forget used to be, they're still around! I swear, I can still buy them off the neighborhood ice cream truck!

Are you serious?!?! Argh!! I've gotta chase down an ice cream truck one of these days. But I haven't done that in about nine years. It'd be pretty sad to see me chasing the truck along with a buncha youngens. :goofygri:

LOL! Well, my siblings were getting the ice cream, not me. They just brought it to me as a surprise. Boy, was I surprised! It was cool though, I loved the neat pic of TNM Raph on the wrapper.

There were Hostess (sp) cream cakes and pies too. I think it was around the time of the second movie, 'cause you were supposed to get a free sticker card from the movie with each one. The kids around where I used to live went crazy for them, because the store was across the street.

Dude!!! I remember those! They had green filling, right? It was supposed to be mutagen or something. I bought one a long time ago, and I still have the Michelangelo sticker that came with it. I remember that the mutagen pie was way too sweet, though. A shame... I would've liked to get the other three stickers.

The one weird thing that I know that was made that you guys haven't mentioned, was Pork Rinds. TMNT Pork Rinds... I guess maybe because in the first movie When Leo and Raph get into their little squabble, Don and Mike are eating Pork Rinds.
Pork Rinds are Sick! Crusty pig Fat! Bleh! :dead:
I doubt that the ice cream truck in my neighbourhood still has those! One can wish though!
Oh, I work at Tim Hortons, and the other day, while working I was refill some muffin Cups, and had to move a couple boxes, and thee was a box marked Turtles, so I opened it! It was full of little TMNT Turtle heads! You know those hard things that go on top of cupcakes and stuff. THe one thing is that this Tim Hortons has only been open for 3 years. Must've gotten them somewhere else!

Was that Ninja Turtles cereal any good? I always wanted to get myself a box of that. But my parents would never go for it. It was always Cheerios or Rice Krispies or something.
I think there are still sealed boxes of Ninja Turtles cereal floating around on eBay somewhere. Probably wouldn't taste very good now, though. Can you imagine how hard 12-year old cereal would be? And I thought Grape-Nuts were hard! :o

Never tried the cereal. Anything with marshmellows is a big "no no" for me. I think they make the cereal sickly sweet. :dead:
I saw a box of sealed cereal on ebay, too (a few months ago, actually)! I don't even wanna imagine how the cereal would taste like. I kep laughing at the seller's warning: "Do NOT eat this cereal! It is for display purposes only!" LOL!!

I remember several years ago when these plastic Turtles came out that held those little chicklet pieces of gum. Each Turtle was a different shade of green, and the bottom opened up and you could get your gum. I still have those around somewhere.
I just saw a box of British Ninja Turtles cereal on eBay, and it's called "Original Shreddies"! How come no one ever thought of that before? "Shredded Wheat" could have been called "Shredder's Wheats" or something. :D

I went to my grandmas house and the ice cream truck came. I still can't believe that they still have TMNT Ice cream. The wrapper shows raphael and it says Ninja Turtles: The next mutation....

If that Ninja Turtles ice cream was frozen really well, I suppose it could last for that long of a time. Of course, I've seen ice cream gone bad, and it's not pretty! :o

Heh heh... Y'know, I wonder if those TMNT ice cream bars are still being made by a food company, or if the ice cream trucks are selling old ice cream bars.
