Hm, Unidentified Flying Leonardo was, as far as I can remember, my favorite episode, or at least one of my top ten. But I haven't seen it in a good 9-10 years. What do you guys think of that one?
Also, what did everyone think of the last couple seasons of TMNT the original show? Where Dregg was the bad guy and such. The only episodes I can recall are Cyber Turtles and State of Shock, because I have those on tape. But I do recall seeing some of the others.
So, yeah what are everyone's favorite original series eps?
And one last thing.
Which old episode was it where there was a big mechanical dinosaur roaming New York. That was another one I liked, but I can never remember what it was called.

Since I'm a huge Leo fan, this episode is one of my favorites, but likewise, it's been centuries since I've seen it. It's the one where the country folk mistake him for an alien, no?

This is weird..the topic and the poll are totally different. Well I voted for season 2 new, although it has my two least favorite episodes, it has some of my favorites too.
As for Unidentified Flying Leonardo, I will say it is a unique episode. One thing that's funny about that ep, is when Mike, Don, and Raph barge in from the roof of the villian's hideout, you hear Leonardo say some catchy one-liner as if he is with them, but he is really outside with April and that overalls guy.
My local Toys R Us also had tons of cels from this episode.
I agree that this is one of the better episodes of the season.

Figured I'd update this talkback discussion for the new decade!
I really find this episode humorous with the whole Leonardo running around the small town cornfield looking for space aliens thread. Also, this episode gives us some of the best screenshots of the whole series!

Remind me, what did that end up being again? Strawberry jam or pizza sauce?

I chose sean 4 because of the different characters that were introduced. Also, the animations was a little better as well.
Those are some pretty cool screenshots of Leonardo.

I went with seasons 1-3 of the original, since they were what got me into TMNT.
But there really need to be 2 polls- one for the OT and one for the NT.

This is a really old thread lol.
Anyways, I was a huge Leo fanatic when I was younger, so this one episode was one of my absolute favorites.

I always enjoyed this episode, being a Leonardo fan. He does seem to function really well on his own. Villain was kind of silly, another mad Dr type. But the scaring-people-with-a-fake-UFO thing was kind of clever. The whole episode, like many other ones, reminded me of an old 50s sci-fi. It was nice of Leonardo to follow April and look after her. Why does he always seem to be her personal protector in this series? Reminds me of how Donatello and Irma sort of bonded in the "Donatello's Degree" episode.

Its really bizarre this was used as the Season 4 finale. Why end a season on a random filler episode?

I'm a big Leo fan as well. I remember watching this episode decades ago and thought it was decent, though I felt that the ending was anti-climatic. It was interesting to see Leo go off on a solo adventure, though, and it was set in the countryside. I think there were better Leo-centric episodes than this one.

I thought Splinter Vanishes was the season finale? Much like how "Sleuth on the Loose" was the Season 6 finale in terms of story intensity.
Yes, this was a great episode and yes, another scientist but a hillbilly at that. At least they got Davins right and better than the Badd family to come. Very Twin Peaks feel to the episode.

I heard about that recently, that it was a season finale. I dunno why either.
