Everything. Some classical (I blame my dad, he plays the classical guitar), a little rap, a few country groups, Broadway musicals...everything.

My favorite though is stuff like Pink, New Found Glory, Green Day, Good Charlotte, etc.

*Neat fact I read on someone's website: Green Day originally wanted to call themselves the Ninja Turtles! Back when the TMNT were still on TV, the members of the band would all get together, order pizza, and watch TMNT. They called this day they got together, Green Day.*

Rock on Snow White. Good charlotte is cool. I don't really like Pink that much but the only song I like from her is "Your just like a pill." I didn't know Green Day did that........ :o

Snow White
09-19-2002, 06:31 PM
Yeah, "You're Just Like a Pill" is an awesome song. One of my best friends got a back stage pass type thing to Warped Tour and got to meet and take pictures with Good Charlotte. Why I don't have that kind of good luck, I shall never know.

I can't remember whose site the Green Day thing was on. But I'll try to find out. I salute them for their good taste in TV shows. *salutes*

lucky! We have the original record album at home...I loved the group that was kicking around their bidy parts when singing. The main singer was Kevin Klash, the guy who did Splinter's voice! :D

that, and The magic Dance, and the song from her dream... :D Underground too, of course!

music?

Just about anything except twangy country or gangsta rap.

New rock, classic rock, heavy metal, house, trance, 80s rap, alternative, heck, even some boybands and top 40 stuff. There are some lousy bands out there, but even they can have a good song once in a while

(And Labryinth rocked!)

i used to be ONLY heavy metal/Hard rock, yet since i was forced to listern to old music, i now only listern to musicc from 60-early 90's. The Beatles are easily the greatest band i have ever heard by far and there more than 40 years old.

Hmmm...can't say I do. Sorry!

Ooooo! Oldies! I can't believe I forgot that! Those are truly the greatest! And also my favorite music to listen to in the car. That, and anything else I can sing really loudly with all the windows rolled down. I usually only know, like, half the words plus the chorus, so I make the rest up.

I like all sorts of music:

Pop, Country, R&B, classical, and jazz are some of my favorites. But my all-time favorite has got to be orchestral. I cannot get enough of film scores, for example.

The score for "Forrest Gump" is fantastic. So is the score for "Saving Private Ryan" and "Apollo 13" and "Dinosaur" and "Field of Dreams." Film scores are what I collect mostly.

Orchestral music just moves me in a way that Pop and Country can't. There's a feeling and an intensity there that pop stars just don't have.

"The only way to get at the bottom of this is from the top. We're gonna join Big Louie's mob!" - Leonardo, from "The Big Cufflink Caper!"

I pretty much like everything except for Rap and Heavy/Death Metal stuff. If you can even call that music. The rap I don't call music at all. As for death-metal...that's borderline. But I'll have you know death-metal and heavy metal are different. GWAR is death-metal, whereas Metallica is only heavy metal.

Oh, what do I like? Well, I guess nobody has guessed from looking at my username by now: my favorite music group/artist is definitely Nine Inch Nails ("Reznorite" comes from Trent Reznor, the mastermind behind NIN). But in general, I'm a big industrial fan, which includes but isn't limited to the following:

Skinny Puppy
Ministry
Das Ich (I believe)

On the other hand, I have a somewhat eclectic taste. I have MP3s of the following artists on my computer:

Nine Inch Nails
Metallica
Eiffel 65
Devo
Information Society
Kid Rock
MC Hammer (just "This is What We Do")
Soft Cell
Technotronic
ZZ Top

There's also a few buned CDs I have with even more, but that I won't get into. One kind of music I really like, however, is stuff done independently. That mostly comprises of modern video game music, but who cares?

*cries hysterically* I'm the only one with the taste of Rap/Hip-Hop/R&B!!! I blame Vanilla Ice (along with other white rappers) and B2K and other musical groups that don't sound like girls) for this!!!

heretic888
10-19-2002, 10:55 AM
oh, i like some rap. eminem, dmx, tupac, biggie, and a few others are quite skilled lyricists and artists. unfortunately, so many modern rappers settle for the lowest denominator and just make music that is commericially pliable.

however, modern 'r&b' is just another word for 'black pop'. seriously. all they are are boy/girl bands but just because their skin is a different color they call it a different name and pretend their is some 'soul' anywhere there.

i like OLD, TRADITIONAL rhythm and blues. actual bluesy stuff is great. but this modern-day, usher/destiny's child stuff is crap.
