Can you turn your drawings and stuff into your avatar? Sure. You just need to re-size it in a paint program and load it to a server. www.photobucket.com is a good, reliable one. :)

Did that answer your question??

Like, um... Photoshop or... I believe you can just use the paint program on your computer, Microsoft Paint or whatever, to re-size your pics.

I do not think I have that program on my computer.

uhm, it's kinda impossible not to have paint on your PC...

when you just booted up, press the windows key + R and then type MSPAINT and then press enter. that's the wasisest way to get that program open

Hi. I just dropped in. I also am strugling with customizing my avatar. Not with getting the right size but with downloading one of my pics to be my avatar. How do I do that? (I'm somewhat computer illiterate... :tanime: )

Well, you need to have somewhere to host it... I suggest www.photobucket.com, they're free and pretty reliable. They have instructions on loading your pics onto their page.

After that, you just go to your profile, and put the adress that photobucket gives you for your pic, and you should be good to go! :)

Note - It can't be saved in .bmp, though... it won't show up here.

If ya need more help, just ask. Hope that helped!

I'm coming across a weird situation when I try to download my pic into "photobucket". It says my pic's name must only contain letters or numbers. My pic's name is "avatar" (all letters). Why is this problem happening and what should I do? :-?

Hmmm... I've never had that happen before... there's no spaces anywhere in it, right?? You can try re-naming it... Maybe avatar2 or somethig, just to try it. Hope everything gets worked out...

That's strange. Try renaming it and then uploading it. You can rename it after it's on photo bucket if you want.

Thankies so much for the info! I've got an account at Photobucket.com, and I may need help when I get my permanent avatar drawn (it's currently in the works) and want to get it put up. And I hope the instructions are pretty clear, 'cause I'm something of a ninny when it comes to stuff like this.
