AS Shredder said in return to new york 3 "I have asked myself that question many times". I too want to know if they will have season 2 because my recording eps of season 2 may become obsolite one day since they are about 15 years old, I don't have the killer pizzas ep on my recording tapes, and my return of the technodrome ep(My fav and the one I said I watched the night before my big birthday last month) is in not good shape. Killer pizzas ep is the only ep of season 2 I don't have. If I have it I will have all of eps 1-23 straight on tape.

It is too early to tell when it will come out. If this one really sells, the company may consider it. I too hope they will have it on dvd as well as all the other eps.

There is no info on the net about season 2 on DVd.

It will depend on the success of the first DVD. If the first DVD does well then I would think they might have it out by the end of the year or maybe early 2005.

I wish the other dvds would come sooner to correspond with the 15th annivesery of the hight of turtles populartiy, meaning 1988-1991.

I betcha the seasons will come on dvd. I mean it would be stupid not to. Imagine how much the company will make if they release the series.

I would sa they probably do more dvds, since putting shows on dvd is fairly cheap to do, Just look at the show family guy, its profit margin was enough for the to want to bring the show back

If Season One is selling as well as it seems to be doesn't it seem possible, given todays business world, that Artisan would milk this cash cow as much as possible? They make a good amount of money and we, the loyal TMNT fans, as well as casual fans get the classic show on DVD. Everyone wins!

Why do you people think they won't release season 2 ever? Maybe one of us should write them and ask them about this, maybe they do plan to release it.

i think im gana go do that right now. they could still fit all of episode 2 on dvd, they put 10 eps on the first season.

InsaneZane
04-26-2004, 10:04 AM
actually, i think theres only 9 eps on that dvd.

plus, i dont really understand why people are doubting a season 2 dvd.

the only eps i didnt own already that was on the dvd are the 4 Red Sky eps..

but, hey, season 1 was short.
and there are a lot of fans who would still love to check out the old toon again after so long. and with the new too and all people will be more interested in going back. that toon was a phenomenon, the chances of another release are far from zilch.

look a it from the perspective of someone who hasnt seen those episodes in years and years.
knowing the fans that hang around here, i know theres probably not too many of those here.
but besides the fact, they are gonna want to see more...

i think its only a matter of time before they release season 2.
after all i'm sure the same people who are doubting another release are the same people who said the same thing about the thought of there being a season 1 release.

If they've been sold out, then I would say that the DVDs have been doing very well! I remember getting my copy no more than a month ago, and I was so excited to watch it!

knowing the fans that hang around here, i know theres probably not too many of those here.
but besides the fact, they are gonna want to see more...

That's a very good point, indeed! I would love to see them release season 2 in a double-disc set.

It all depends on how popular the first DVD was. I hope everyone supported the cause and bought it... Just as an example, it appears that it only sold 1,693 copies at amazon, but that is just one site.

Well, it sold out at Suncoast video where I work within the first week. We got in about 6 copies, though.

A season 2 DVD will really be launched? Is there any official news about it?

My Toys R Us sold out on the first day, and it's more expensive there than walmart. I don't see any reason to assume we won't be getting future DVD releases of the classic ninja turtles. In the meantime though, I'll be scoutin' the R Zone for SuperTed on DVD.
