Splinter's Vacation

((Okay, I dunno whether this will work or not, but I think Splinter needs a vacation! The poor rat is soon to be going bald with all the stresses we put him through in our RPGs! So here's another RPG...rules are, Splinter must not be given any migraines. Let the guy have a good time! Do whatever the heck you want to everyone else, just let Splinter have his relaxation.))

*Splinter has called his 4 sons into his study. They are nervously waiting before him*

Sp: I've asked you here to let you know that I'll be going on a vacation. I'll be gone for at least two weeks. I hope that you will conduct yourselves appropriately during my absence.

((OKay, I'm tossing myself into the story because I'm not sure how else to give Splinter a vacation. Lets also assume there's no direct relationship between this thread and ATFT.))

Mike: ~Sweet! Two weeks of no Splinter and Leo can't do a thing about it!~ Don't worry Sensei, we won't let you down!

Sp: I'm sure everything will be fine. All I ask is that you keep up your practice, and be sure to at least clean before I get back.

Don: Where exactly are you going?

Sp: Well, Skeletoncrew apparently has a nice secluded place. She's invited me to stay with her. She should be here soon to pick me up.

Leo: Skeletoncrew? Are you sure that's a good idea Master?

Sp: I don't see why not. She's a nice young lady.

Leo: Well its just that, she's a little, oh how should I put this? Lusty.

*The other turtles snort and supress laughter*

Sp *raising an eyebrow*: Are you implying that she may be a danger to my virtue?

Absolutely! *quickly covers mouth, trying to hide her grin*

*Laughs* Oh, don't worry about Splinter! I'm not going to coerce him into doing anything he doesn't want to! I'm just gonna give him the run of my house, grounds, and library. We may take a couple of small side trips as well, it all depends upon what he wants to do.

*Splinter and the others enter the room* Sp: Ah, hello Skeletoncrew!

Hi Splinter! Are you all set?

Sp: Yes, I do believe I am. Leonardo and Donatello, would you be kind enough to take my bags out to the car?

Leo/Don: Of course.

Did you remember to pack your swimsuit?

Sp: Well, there's no way I was putting Raphael or Michaelangelo in charge; Donatello hates being in charge; and I think Leonardo needs a break as much as I do. Of course, it will probably grate at him that he's not in charge. Machias would clash with Raphael, and of course she hasn't yet proven herself capable of such responsibility. Kali is a fairly sensible young woman, and I don't think Raph would cross her. She'll do fine.

I suppose so. I'm sure everything will be fine.

*Starts driving.*

Sp: I wonder why Machias was so distressed that I was going to vacation at your place?

*Shrugs* I really don't know.

since you're a professional spectator iand you already have the notebook, maybe you'd like to 'moderate'?

M: So HOW do you PLAY already?

First we get a list of genres...
soap opera, romance, spaghetti western, Spanish TV, Game Show... things like that. The moderator has the list, and it serves as the jumping off point. The moderator calls out a genre, and the players have to conform to that style. The moderator can choose to deviate from the list, it's not carved in stone... in fact its best if that happens, because then all the players are surprised.

Basically, Two players start a scene. Setting and topic are chosen by the winners of the last round (or democratic vote, or fascist policy, or proletariat mandate... however) whenever the moderator feels so inclined, he/she changes the genre in which the story is told.

Anyone not in the scene can call for an player's ejection from the scene IF IT IS CLEAR THAT THEY BROKE FORMAT (excessive stuttering or clear break in character) official ruling decided by majority/mob rule. Once a player is out, another jumps in ASSUMING THEIR ROLE.
