Hey, I'm making one of Slash too. Based on the "FoxBox" stlye Slash I drew. I went with a Basic Leonardo with a Raph head, and The old school Shredder's armor.( Provided it looks right) If that armor dosen't look quite the way I want it too, I'm gonna Try something else.

I once tried to make a turtle out of clay ((and failled, might I add))... and when I was little, I use to make my own action figures out of paper and cut them out, color them on bolth sides and glue little peices on the back so I could pick up their weapons... I think I still have them in my room somewhere. If I find them, I'll scan them and show you my craptacular art ((muhahaha, maybe craptacular, but I had fun with them all the same))

Those look awesome! The only customizing I ever did with my TMNT action figures was back when I was little, I tried to reattach one of My Leonardos' fallen arm using a spring I found in a pen. The result was a Leonardo with a Go, go, gadget arm! lol!

I'm pretty sure that April is just another figure repainted, with the hair resculpted(because I've seen the original figure she's based on at the comic shop here).

But yeah, I like that Shredder. Makes me wish we could get an official comic based action figure series, with at least the 4 TMNT, Shredder, and a Foot Ninja.

Thanks a heap for posting that for me Skabbz. You can notice from this front pic, iv'e cut off that stupid snake on his leg. Also i managed to pick and hack at all those little animals on his back so that they were beyond recognition, made a pretty cool jagged rock effect but it was pretty sharp so i buffed it down a bit to look like the rest of the figure. The yellow scorpion on his shoulder didn't need to be deformed because once painted, you caouldn't see any scorpion resembelance in it at all.

I am still yet to make a proper weapon for him, was going to paint the gun he's holding black/grey but didn't want to ruin a good Traag accessory. Thinking of casting the weapon and producing it and black platic but still got to find more info on doing this.

Iv'e been buying every cheap traag I get so I can make more customs but unfortunbately i keep finding variations in the figs. Not one of those Traags in the background is the same.

Here's my repainted "Napoleon" figure. I used Genghis for the base (Obviously!) he seems to be cracking in some areas, maybe next time I should gloss it. I also made a "Movie Star Casey" with removable mask from the Wily Whit figure (the 3rd movie sucked anyway) and I'll post that later, after I clean it up a bit.

I have been using Beast Wars fuzor Basic figures togive the turtles and Shredder articulation. And I am using Raph's battle armor with Mikey's battle armor fore-arm pads to make a Shredder Raph. i have also painted Shredder's metalic blue over with a silvery gray to make him show accurate.

Well since he is standing regular you can't tell but he has ankle, knee and elbow articulation as well as some more accurate paint.

A minor defect of this being stage one of the project, test run. I'm considering getting an armorized Shredder and making him into old scool Shredder with Articulation, but first I need Mutatin Shredder for my Saki custom.

Just finished my second Rock Soldier repaint, this one I decided to do away with the toes but after starting to grind away at them, i realised it wouldn't work so I filled it in layer by layer with polystyrene cement. Not the best choice but it worked beyond my expectations. Then since it worked so well, instead of cutting away the snake on the leg I just buffed the snakes head down slightly and covered it in poly cement as well as the features on the rock soldiers back. Also decided to give a slight layer on the chin to rid him of those stupid cracks and give him a smoother tecture.

The colours were originally intended to match a certain Rock Soldier from the cartoon, one of Kraangs personal guard with the "X" symbol on it's chest. But once I started painting I got other ideas and now it's a brown painted Traag with a blackbet, grey shells and dark grey helmet instead of the originally intended silver coating. I left his green jocks untouched which I am still considering painting. Now all I need is someone to host the pics.

Also if there is free hosting out there somewhere can somebody please let me know. Just i don't want to keep having to use everyone elses space up just as a means as getting my pics across to everyone else.

I just discovered this thread, and now half the picture links are broken. :roll: I love custom figures. Back in the day, I made proper weapons for my turtles out of wood and metal. I think the only ones that I still have are Raph's sais, and I'm still quite proud of them. :D

Oh good grief, I just remembered that I also made mini Coming Out of Their Shells costumes and instruments too. If I can find them, I'll take a picture and you can all have a good giggle.

Anyway, the point of this post was to show you my Pimiko figure from the Image series. She's based on a Vampirella figure. Her costume is made of Milliput (fantastic stuff) painted with acrylics. I'm planning to made a Shredder Raphael for her to fight!

hey fellow customizers, i thought i'd post this as i havent seen anyone else post a pic of one yet, a few pics of my toon accurate foot soldier repaint, very basic and i think as accurate as i can get, apart from not modifying the arm shields to make them smaller...

this pic really brings out the difference in purples, because i left the head as is, i didnt know how different it was until i saw this pic (i blame the flash)...

I was actually thinking of doing the same thing but I was going to use mr. fixit's (hulk classics) hat and gambits coat, except I didn't have an extra of either figure and didn't want to take it from them as they needed it more. Looks nice though!

I painted the pads on my Fightin' Gear Leonardo to blue. I think it stands out much better this way. I know there are a lot of Mirage purists out there, but the color coating has always been more attractive in my eyes.

I'll post pics if I find a camera, it looks nice and is very simple to do.
