It would be sweet, I don't understand why they didn't have Krang in any of the movies. I guess they wanted it to be like the comics and see how it did. But a movie with the cartoon style tmnt would be sweet if they did it right. Unfortuneately it doesn't look that will happen because the new cartoon is going to be based on the comics and practically nothing like the cartoon (big disappointment here.) No technodrome... what's Shredder without the technodrome? How else is Shredder gonna conquer the world? And if they did do the technodrome what good would Baxter do running the technodrome, it just wouldn't look right having Baxter instead of Krang running the technodrome.

True, the cartoon may have overplayed the whole dysfunctional-marriage thing between Shredder and Krang and given him too many high-tech toys, but I thought it was pretty well established that Shredder's fighting skills were superior to Splinter and the Turtles'.

He was also an extraordinarily cunning and devious fellow. Season 2 is probably the best season to watch if you want to see Shredder operate without all his gear (since he doesn't have the Technodrome).

Wait a second! Shredder's not superior to Splinter, Splinter trained Shredder back in Japan when he was still human! And if i recall correctly, Splinter kicked his butt pretty good several times, like in 'The Shredder is Splintered' and 'The incredible Shrinking Turtles'...!

I have to say that over all, Splinter and the Turtles are superior to Shredder, fighting wise. Splinter due to his skill, the Turtles due to numbers and teamwork. BUT Shredder tends to use underhanded tricks to beat the good guys, which should not be confused with fighting skills. They are ninjutsu tactics, but not fighting skills.

Don't get me wrong, Shredder is a great and skilled ninja, but in a fair match, the Turtles would wipe the floor with him.

All four of them took him on at once in The incredible Shrinking turtles and they all lost so lets not say shredder is too bad. Shredder was a good ninja but they covered it up in the later seasons.

I saw a picture of the technodrome in japanese anime in the gallery and it said,"new techdrome" or something like that. I thought that was the new cartoon.

The new cartoon is being based off of the comics, which is why Krang or the Technodrome will probably be making no appearances. Oh well... You never know. They could make a cameo.

That wasn't Krang, they were Utroms, an alien race. Peter's said many times that they are not the same, althought Krang was kinda based on the Utroms.

As for the Anime, I was pretty sure there were only three TMNT Anime episodes. Several cartoon episodes were redone, I think though.

See "The Old Switcheroo," when Shredder (in Splinter's body) *annihilates* all four Turtles simultaneously.

You all forget the moral of all three Karate Kid movies: the bad guy is always much more skilled than the good guy; the only way the good guy can win is through a fluke. Especially in Karate Kid III, where Daniel-san wins the match despite scoring only one hit (the bad guy scored multiple hits, but gave back all those points due to incessant fouling).

"The Shredder is Splintered" is part 5 of 5 in the origin story. Shredder dares the Turtles to come get his retro-mutagen ray gun from him--a device that could turn Splinter back to Hamato Yoshi but could also turn the Turtles back into pets. Krang is reincarnated in his android body. Very little erotic content in this episode, though.

Well, the whole problem with taking the cartoon Krang and shoving him into the Mirage Comics seems to be that Krang and the Technodrome were designed to be a permanent fixture. The Turtles could always foil whatever scheme Shredder and Krang were up to, but with their Technodrome they were always too powerful to eliminate, and when the 30 minutes were up Krang and Shredder would just escape into a portal/transport module, head back to the Technodrome, and return for the next episode.

The villians in the Mirage series (and really, in any of the comics), from what I understand, were much more inconstant and dynamic, so Krang and the Technodrome wouldn't fit into the comic universe at all.

On the other hand, I think the old cartoon could have fit in some more elements of the comic universe into the shows. Baxter Stockman, Casey Jones, Leatherhead, the Rat King and the Triceratons all made appearances in the old cartoon. There were many more possibilities.

When the first live-action movie was to come out back in 1990, I thought it would be modeled directly from the cartoon. I sat back and wondered, "I wonder how they're going to make the Technodrome? I wonder what Krang will look like? I wonder how they'll make Bebop and Rocksteady and Dimension X?" And then when the movie came out, and it was nothing like the cartoon, well . . . I was a little disappointed. :cry:

If a live-action movie complete with all those features ever came out, I would be the first in line to see it. I am fascinated by the Technodrome. It's too bad I don't have the money to build a full-scale model, complete with a portal room and all those high-tech gadgets. I would just take concept ideas from the cartoon. :nod:

Wouldn't it be awesome to explore? Or am I the only one who wonders this? Maybe I should make this one of my class projects: "I propose to make a full scale replica of the Technodrome." :D

That is something I always wanted clarification on, and it never came. It's ambiguous, but not in a good way. It just doesn't make sense that some alien brain and an evil ninja master randomly meet. It doesn't make sense that this alien brain has a battle machine that could destroy everything to kingdom come, but it still needs a human to do it with. If Krang was such a great lord in Dimension X, and he had this Technodrome with which to keep in contact, couldn't someone -- or something -- other than Shredder have built his body for him? Couldn't Krang have done it? He's not that helpless.

If there is anything about the cartoon I didn't like - and there wasn't much - it was the fact that some questions were left unanswered or there really wasn't that much continuity in the show.

There are so many things about Krang that we'll never know. That just bugs me. And about continuity . . . I don't which genius thought up this one, but it's a doozy: in "Shredder and Splintered" the Turtles get to drive a BLUE Star Cruiser that was left behind by the Neutrinos. In "Pizza by the Shred" the Turtles are driving a RED Star Cruiser, and Donatello even makes the comment that the Turtles sure are lucky that the Neutrinos left the Star Cruiser behind.

What, did the Turtles and the Neutrinos swap cars when we weren't looking? A little knowledge of the show you're writing for wouldn't hurt, people. That's just being lazy, plain and simple.

So assuming the characters don't always get away in the end, what happens? Do you honestly believe that the police would befriend the turtles?

At the least, a parallel series of the show should be made. One based on the original comics and the other with Krang and the technodrome or maybe Krang could be a POST era (a time after the comic-based cartoon). I'm sure there's a way to manipulate the equation to determine the necessary values to make the krang solution possible.

I think it would be wise to evaluate the new toon on its own merits, instead of comparing it with the old. At least that's what I'm going to try to do.

That's what I'm going to try and do also. But I know the first thing that will pop into mind will be, "This isn't like the old cartoon." But I'm bound and determind to give this new cartoon a chance.

I think that Shredder and Krang always were at a severe disadvantage. Sure, they had a boat load of technology, the technodrome, dimension-X and other resources, but they were always doomed to failure. And when they did manage to succeed, it was only for a short while before they got stuck somewhere else. It would've been cool if they chose a different route.

Even if the turtles got thrown into dimension-X, the Neutrino's would've helped them get back to Earth.
