"How it all Began" vs "The Epic Begins"

You all know about the now INFAMOUS "The Epic Begins", but was it as bad as the U.K "Origin" release "How it all Began?"

"How it all Began" begins with

1. A rather poorly cut scene from "Blast from the Past" where the Turtles explain to Splinter (suffering from memory loss that they go to NO LENGTHS TO EXPLAINING) who he is and how they became Ninja Turtles.

2. Poorly cut segments from "Blast from the Past", which omt what Michangelo's weapons skils are (NO suprise there U.K Fans)

3. No Nutrino episode segments

4. The INSTANT Splinter remembers who he is, we cut from the "Blast from the Past" footage...

"RETURN OF THE SHREDDER"

Folliwng this, all HELL breaks loose, episode segments are cut and shredded, the "Eye of Zarnoth" saga ends the video with "The Mean Machines"...

"THE MEAN MACHINES", not the REAL final part of the story arc "Curse of the Evil Eye"

It was a NIGHTMARE when I watched it the first time, and it still is a nightmare when I watch it again.

Ew, sounds crappy. I don't mind the Epic Begins that much, I mean, Ive had it for years now, but now that I have that new DVD, it definitly is MUCHO BETTER.

I thought that as well, then I got a copy of "The Epic Begins" imported over here and readily picked it up to get a good laugh, I found it to be drastically different to "How it all Began"

I know the epic begins was the crappy video release of the 5 part mini series.

I own How It All Began, having brought it from eBay years ago stupidily thinking it was the whole first season uncut. How wrong I was. I watched it all the way through and it's PAINFUL. It will make any TMNT want to stick hot pokers in their eyes while sitting on a bed of nails. It's that bad. It's so confusing and ridicuously edited that no kid would ever be able to follow it (IMHO). I couldn't even get what was going on half the time.

I'm surely the Epic Begins can't possibly be ANY worse.

What is this how it all began about? and what did it have?

I never thought Epic Begins was really that bad, even though the mousers episode is pretty much missing completely. Incidentally, I found an advertisement in an old TMNT comic advertising the Epic Begins on VHS for $40. Ouch!
