I' ve never heard of this kind of thing before. Having an RPG on a message board. It looks cool. How does it work? Can I be involved in one?

thanx, prowler4

Okay, in an RPG, you take control of a character and you lead him/her throughout an adventure that is created by your fellow characters. Your character interacts with other characters (controlled by fellow players), and your actions will often have an affect on everyone else. It's almost like writing a story, except you can only write it through the viewpoint of the character you are controlling. You can check out the "TMNT RPG Chapter 5" thread as an example. Lemme know if you're still confused....

No I think I get it. Is there any way I can be a part of the one going on now or one in the near future?

Well, most of the RP's around here have been going awhile, but there's always room for another character. Perilous Beauty is just starting up, and could use a few more players. You could play any of the TMNT characters, or make up your own. For a made up character, you need to post a profile, which is their name, general description, what powers they have, what species/race they are, what weapons they may carry, a brief history, etc. only revealing as much as you want.
