All,
I have a carded original leo. However, the pack of the package has a copyright of, i think, 2000 or 2001. I remember I bought it at KB.

Did playmated relrease more than just the 4 turtles? if so, how widespread was this campaign?

hey there I'm going to post some pictures for you of just some of the figures that were re-realesed to kb toys but I dout it was 2000 or even 2001
it was more like 98 or 99 I'd show you them all but I don't happen to have my entire collection with me here in Texas where I'm living right now I only have about half of it the rest is at my mothers back in pittsburgh I'll get around to showing it all at some point..but maby some one like tmntgirl could post some pics...the way you can tell this set apart from anything else is the orginal back design and the green and yellow warning lable used on the front of the box

Putrecent,

That was awesome! I'm hoping to take my Leo to Wizard World Philly next weekend to get signed by Laird. But, if I can find older versions besides these re-releases, Ill buy them up there for a few bucks then get those signed

Were all of those part of the re-release?

They should re-release the 4 turtles as a 4-pack :D

I was reading before that you are color blind jarrah correct?
I'm not trying to be mean or anything but the color of the sports goggles hes wearing are neon green. but it's funny that you say that at one point walmart had a special additon slam dunkin' don with differnt colors. I could post that as well if anyone would care to look at it.

Well, yes I am colour blind, example I look at a red traffic light, it looks orange to me. I have difficulties identifying certain colours. Those goggles look orange to me

I'd like to see pics of different color dons! Slam Dunkin' Don is like my favorite Turtle figure EVER!

Jarrah, cheer up man! I have a friend who's color blind that we grew up with. He's always been a turtle fan too. he just found out that the turtles wear different color masks on the cartoons and stuff.

Hey Putrescent
Do you think you can make more close up scans of the file card of the characters, I would like to collect all of those, but it would seem hard to find someone who happens to have all the figures in there original packaging and know how to scan them as well. Very tough but I was hoping you were that someone.

I remember seeing giant 12" figures of the TMNT from the old line back in like 2001 at a local KB Toys. I just assumed they dug them out of an old warehouse somewhere or something.

I fell in love with KB even more during those days. I'd go there almost everyday after classes. I was able to buy most of the reissues. Loved their 3 for $10 deals. I remember several other toylines being reissued at the same time, like Resident Evil, Ronin Warriors, Primal Rage, & Samurai Squad to name a few. It would be nice If Playmates reissues the classics again, but this time in special boxes.

I also remember seeing Earthworm Jim figures last year. LAST YEAR. That's amazing for a TV show that hasn't aired in over 10 years.

Yay,
I forgot to post, but I was at the Pittsburgh Toy show and comic con at the end of April, and I found one guy selling TONS of MOC figures. I really dont have a lot of space to collect a lot of MOC, but I did get 1st edition Don and Mike for $8. ea, and another guy had the re-release Leo and Raph for $8. ea as well. I really want to sell those 2 when I find their 1st edition counterparts.

I wish I would have picked up Zak and Panda Kahn, <kicks herself>

Oh well, I took pics of my collection, I hope to post them soon!

(Did anyone see the new sprinkler head out? Its mikey, he looks really cool.)

-How much does the collector's set of the 4 turtles go for? The one where they are all in the same package? I just won a set online.

when KB Toys brought the old toys back out mine only had the 4 turtles so that all i got... i wanted to buy doubles of them all but like i only had enough to get 1 of each. they were cheap to. under $5 i think.. its been a few yrs. been thinking about getting them out and hanging them on my wall along w/ all my other figures still in the packages.
