April and...pick a match

Who do you think April's (in any incarnation's) ideal match is? Casey, or one of the turtles?

In the first movie they set her up with Casey even though she and Raph clearly had a thing for each other.

In the new toon, I notice chemisty between April and Don.

In the old toon I don't think she really had any chemistry with anyone...

Still, who would you rather see April end up with? I'm not too fond of the April/Casey pairing, it doesn't really do anything for me and I think they're actually quiet miss matched.

How about you guys? Oh, and be sure to state which universe version of your choice (ie, movie Raph, old toon Leo etc)

I voted for Donatello since she's very smart like him, and this can fit with both the Fox Box series and the original cartoon.

If you had other i would of chose April to be alone. I find it more appealing that way because, first of all, Donny who is her closest match, isnt human. Casey, well, just him in general to me isnt a good match. For me, I just like the idea of her being alone. Shows more strength in her side to me and reduces any stupid complcations.

I choose Donny in this one :P

BTW, Naruto, Why would you see it as being so impossible For Donatello and his brothers to date human females? While genetics categorises them as turtles, the fact is that they are very human. Think about it.

That's very true. But I've always just thought that April and Don... "fit" better together than her and Casey. Though, I don't deny the "opposites attract" part of Casey and April... But I just think that Don and April would "click" better...

It's not like I don't like Donatello (I love him), and it's not the fact that he's not human that bothers me. It's that April and the TMNT are family, need I say more?

Also, I don't think the TMNT should get girlfriends. The whole 'tragedy' if you will about the TMNT is that they're forced to live underground and can't have a normal life, or meet people. The TMNT getting girlfriends is pretty much the same thing as bringing Venus back (Don't start, Jarrah).

The 'TMNT getting girlfriends' thing could work in volume 4 (I wouldn't like it there either, but at least then I could accept it), but not while they're still underground. And certainly not with April, no way.

*Sigh*

I suppose one of the TMNT could have a thing with April in the Old 'Toon universe. They were hardly ever underground anyway, and they certainly weren't a family there. Plus, the Old 'Toon universe was f*cked up anyway, so the human + mutant thing wouldn't be all that weird. *Shudder*

And Casey was hardly ever around in the Old 'Toon, so he wouldn't really have a shot anyway. :/

The only hint the gave that Raph might've had a little crush on April was that he sat by her when they were goofing around at her apt. and how he looked up to her as he left her apartment. It'd have been really cute if they kept going with it. His first contact with a human female and he falls in loooove....hehe

Yeah I'm always somewhat bitter they didn't touch on it more. The scene where Raph saves April on the subway and holds her in his arms as the train approaches is my favourite from the movie. I just felt lot of chemistry between them as well.

Also notice how when the turtles are leaving April's apartment after taking her home, listen to how April says "Bye" to Raph. It's kind of drawn out with a hint of sadness. That's where I got the idea she had an attraction for him. And Raph, his expressions as she thanks him in her news report on TV, that says a lot for how he feels IMHO. Especially when the others tease him and he throws his sai. The dude was in love.

*nods* There was definitely some hero/damsel chemistry going on between April and Raph in the first movie. Even the actress acknowledged it. I thought it was cute that it was there, but I'm glad they kept it subtle and didn't build anything solid on it.

And yes Casey IS part of the little family BUT the TURTLES consider them THIER sibblings April and Casey don't consider eachother brother and sister, it's diffrent like that, not to even go into the fact that I can't see April being the type to go out with a teenage boy...
