after five Emails to Playmates back and forth I was finally able to get this news out of them.
Usagi is out later this year and so is Baxter. Space Hoppin is out now, then comes Deep Divin, then comes Ripped Up (muscle bound turtles). Gen is not out until the Spring. Quarry is not coming out this year.
This is the best information I can give you. Some of the figures can be cancelled or moved to other times of the year. Nothing is for sure until it is produced.

Wow that wasn't very good marketing sense on playmates part. I mean, why have 2 of the 3 monsters and then take out the most popular one (as well as their leader in a way). First they make the quality of the figures worse than wave 1 (less articulation and detail) and now they have the nerve to show them on the card backs and not release them? I guess it's a good thing I stopped buying them :|

It is ridiculous, Quarry is the main mutant, I could care less about the rest. Now when I get Razorfist and Stonebitter(the only 2 i need) I will have nothing to do with them because they have no story as quarry does. But the Space Hoppin are out now? Thats news to me. And as to why they have Zog coming out even though there is no Karai and why have Baxters Creations before Baxter is very confussing.

Wow, that's too bad... I was hoping she'd be out sooner rather than later...
And, um... Ripped Up Turtles??

Ripped up turtles sounds cool to me...but tuns of people are going to be bitching I can see it now if it's what I think it is....but personally I sure as hell hope thats what it is!

This was the original release list of figures. But the schedule has changed quite a bit, with the Space Hoppers being released now, instead of later in the year. But it gives you some idea of what else is coming. :)

That was the origional reason I e-mailed them to get release dates cuz the list changed. then they kept sending a list of the summer releases leavign baxter out (no dates at all mind you!) and I kept on e-mailing them asking them what I wanted and finally I got this response out of them.

We've seen the final sculpt of Quarry months ago, and so there would be no reason not to release her. And, she's on the cardbacks too.
The only thing that bothers me... she's not on Playmates webpage, with the other figures we know are coming this year.
So I guess it's possible that Quarry was moved back... but why would they do that? Every figure from this line except the Turtles fly off the shelves, and even the Turtles are moving well. We know Quarry is sculpted, so there's no reason not to release her, right?

Maybe Playmates is changing the look of Quarry, giving her new sculpt or different paint scheme. As for Space Hoppin' out now, Paula may have made a mistake by saying this, she probably means they're coming out next. Some area stores may now just be receiving them.

I just hope quarry is not going to be released as some sort of exclusive. That would royally suck.

The only logical reason I can think of for Playmates not to be releasing quarry is probably due to a safety issue, eg: sharp edges on the toy or parts that can be broken to create sharp edges. If this is the case it may take some time for them to make the appropriate changes.
But still I doubt that is the reason just by looking at the Hun figure, the blades on his armour could be easily snapped to create sharp edges and the punch action with broken armour could provide a kid with a cut hand so I doubt safety issues is the reason as Quarry doesn't appear as dangerous as Hun.

Hi all. I'm trying to collect all the new TMNT figures for my 4 year old. We have collected all the new regular figures that came out but not any Fighting Gear ones (don't want them) and all the new characters that came out except Quarry and he's having a fit for Quarry since it's on the back of the package. I've searched every where and noone had one online or in the stores any where. I couldn't find any information on Quarry either, so I also wrote to Playmates for answers. Here is what they told me yesterday in an email:
"The figure is not coming out. It was dropped from the line for now even
though it is shown on the back of the packaging.
It may come out late 2005 but it is not determined yet.

my guess is that they were ready to ship it then some one must have realized there was either something wrong with it or it would have been a bad for children to have for whatever reason...that's really the only reason I can think for this to happen...because it's never happend in this line before.
but I do hope if they redo her that she does look a bit better the toy wasn't that great looking to begin with.

I am sure ther eis a reasonable explination for why she hasnt come out or may not come out...I bet they are having troubles with the figure like I said before.
some one should actully ask why she sisnt coming out instead of just crying about it and doing nothing.

You are so right! My son wants all the characters from the game, so it's a huge disappointment that Quarry is not coming out anytime soon. And does any else out there think that showing what Shredder has done to Baxter Stockman on the new cartoons is too violent for young kids to be watching?? My son watches fighting stuff and I let him play with toy guns, so I'm not over protective, but seeing the mutilation of Baxter is not what I care to let my 4 year old watch.
If anyone is interested I just listed some old Turtles stuff today on ebay, my seller name is blue_sewblue. I had just bought a huge lot of old Turtles off Ebay before the new ones came out and now my son doesn't want the old stuff. I paid a lot for what I got, and I'll never get that money back, but maybe I can get a little bit of it.
I listed a pizza thrower, party wagon, footcruiser, turtle cycle, and carrying case with 11 figures: General Traag, Foot Soldier, Rat King, April O'Neil, Panda Khan, Fugitoid, Muckman and Joe Eyeball, Scumbug, Mondo Gecko, Leatherhead, and Casey Jones. I had the blueprints and joke books that went with each vehicle and the backs from the packs for the characters.
Thanks

for talking bout the show go to the new tmnt disscussion. I don't think its too violent becuase they never show any blood. and the producers always said this is going to be a darker show.

EDIT:
well crap...they didn't answer my question. They did say it's REALLY likely they will still release her due to high demand they are getting for the figure, though.

I sent an e-mail and got a response. The person who responded said that they weren't told as to any reason why Quarry wasn't planned for release this year. So I guess it's back to blind guessing as to why Playmates is doing this to us. :(

You never know, strange things happen, occasionally a prototype is accidently shipped out to stores or somthing and a few get into kids/collectors hands before the company realises they made the mistake and order a recall. It happened in the G.I.Joe line once with the Eco Warriors Deep Six.
