Original Toon Screencaps

Hey guys! Post any requests for Screen caps from the old toon here! Got a shot you want from the 193 TMNT episodes? There's one place to find it, in this thread! And if you don't see it, ask for it! Just follow the rules below:

1. Be specific as you can. For Example:
"Michelangelo saving the Alien from the Incredible Shrinking Turtles, Season Two."
Now, I understand if you can't get all of that info, but something better than "The one where shredder and Splinter fought.

2. There is no limit to how many you can request. Give me something to do, but, do understand that 193 episodes is a lot to go through, so it may take a smidgeon of time to dig it up.

3. Do anything with these images. Wallpaper, Avitars, signitures, Personal collection, whatever. Have fun!

4. Maybe you don't have a specific picture you want, just a random shot of Donny with his bo drawn, or Mike eating pizza. That's cool. Just ask.

As far as the picture above, it's not so much the design as it is the actual drawing in the image. It's horrible. lol

I thought the mousers in "A Thing About Rats" were kept much closer to the original look in the comics. I also liked the Mousers from the new show, but they kinda look like that android dog from Jimmy Neutron.

Do either of you have any pics of him as a kid in Shredderville? Like when he was a baby and when he was beating up on that kid on the tarmac?

I'll have to think of more... but if you have more shredder face ones, profiles as well, that'd be great. That's all I can think of for now.

turtle tracks...the first ep.....he says "they are turtles, hamato yoshi's turtles!!!" then removes his mask....hence the pic....in the punk frog ep...we see him in street clouths....and i could cap some of tghe splinter flash back....if u want them....

Close. Season 8 started in 1994 and that was the beginning of the red sky episodes. Then season 9 in 1995 and finally season 10 in 1996.

Yeah, my interest was going before the Next mutation came out. I was excited that the next mutation was released though, introducing TMNT to a new generation, and I bought the four turtles figures. Yes, someone messed up pretty badly in the coloring department. I guess no one gave them the memo of the different colors of each turtle. Leo with the pizza is somewhat believable because you can't see the initial on his belt. Mikey, with swords, on the other hand...maybe he was practicing with his brother's weapons! Yeeeeeah, that's it. :lol:

I always thought that was cool, too. I didn't give it too much thought when I was a kid, and neither have I recently when I have rented some VHS tapes... which are so old they're a little scratchy to watch, but it doesn't bother me :D

I watched The Old Switcheroo probably about 5 times now these past 3 days. That tape is probably the worst quality to watch, but that could be because it's a favourite that's been rented a lot. I'm kind of skeerd it's going to die in my VCR.

Oh, and do you actually have that episode or am I being too hopeful for those screenshots? :|

Heh...if you watch it in motion, it looks like the animations for Leo and Raph are simply doubled. Both Leos are in the same position (there appears to be only one) until one of them starts to lift open the stairway grate.

No, the way it is that one of the Raphaels is really a Mikey miscolored, and when the animation for Leo to bend down and open the door starts, the first frame stays there while the rest of the animation goes through.

Someone made a screenshot page full of errors like the one with the double Leos and Raphs. Thing is, the mistakes were mostly of the wrong voice coming out of the wrong turtle and you'd never know just by looking at a picture! Oh, there's another error with two Donatellos in "Return of the Shredder" when April shows them the video footage of the Crooked Ninja Turtle Gang. Is that episode on the new DVD? I'm not sure if it was from season 1 or 2.

OH! And the one where he looks shocked, into the reflection of his armor-- (I always thought that one was kind of weird, but only because there's a little plate he looks on on his arm, which was never there before in the first place... what IS that thing? A mirror??)

About the Technodrome pics.... the ones that I'd like to have:
002: Enter The Shredder - The close ups on the treads/drills when Splinter is approaching it and the Roadkill Rodney (that's the name of that cool robot in the games, I'm not sure if in the cartoon it has a name) attacks him. Also, the one just after the turtles are in the zoo and they showw falling at the side of the Technodrome.
003: A Thing About Rats - Just after the turtles leave splinter in the lair, the technodrome breaks a wall and faces the camera. It would be cool to have a kind of sequence of that, not forgetting the aerial shot of the eye with the module hatch (a panel would be great, I've done two for the Technodrome gallery). A more far rear view of the Technodrome from the end of this ep (I know there's one on page 3 but another with more of the treads showing would be nice.).
004: Hot Rodding Teenagers From Dimension X - the rear shot of the Technodrome, stopped, to compare with ep 003. The shot of the Technodorme with the turtle van near it and the following one with the Star Mobile almost entering the hole. BTW, Lt. Granitor is the name of that Stone Warrior, is it said on the episode or was it said somewhere else?
005: Shredder & Splintered - I'm not sure if this one was made before, but the 2 shots when Krang grows (but with him still small, so we can see more Technodrome in the background) and the one where Big Krang almost steps on the turtles (showing the drills). Last, the shot of the Technodrome "sinking" in Dimension X...
Whew, that's a lot, and it would also complete the Technodrome shots from season one. Yes, I'm a Techno-fanatic.

On the subject of Splinter's robe being pink: He's fricken poor off his ass. He'll take what he gets. Plus, it was white in the movies. I think Raphael chucked his bandana in the wash with Splinter's robes--so there you have it with the pinkness.

Not to sound like Splinter moreso than Leo, but we all take the rules pretty seriously around here. When we don't, the threads, and sometimes, even the forums get locked and everyone looses. I don't want to see this thread get locked, and I certainly don't want the forums to go down again, that's why I'm quick to remind people about the rules. Please keep the spam out. The topic of this thread is requests for pictures from the classic turtles toon. Please stick to that topic, or make comments about the pictures, but no spam. But there's one or two missing from ep 003: A Thing About Rats, in the beginning of the episode, after the Technodrome stops, the camera does a close up on the top of it, then it scrolls down to show a hatch that opens and from it comes out the transport module.
What I plan to do is a panel with this sequen from up to bottom (like, showing from the top of the Technodrome to the transport module hatch, closed.)
Those are the only ones missing.
I'm really grateful that you could do this to me.

Yes, besides the DVD movies, Mundo Mágico released one DVD with those 2 episodes. If you're familiar with the brazilian TMNT tapes, you know that some episodes had the title screen changed or omitted.
I've found some copies of it at Extra Supermarket....

Between the pitures Vega1.jpg and Vega2.jpg.... You missed the continuation of the Technodrome while the camera scrolled down. I also need those to complete the panel.... I need that sequence from top (the eye) to "bottom" (when it stops at the hatch). I'm not sure if you can get those, since the whole screen will be moving...

Thanks for the compliments, Ryo. Unfortunatly, I can't get shots of Lotus myself. Though some people have been able to get shots from different episodes with different subtitles on them. So keep checking for those. Hopefully someone will be able to come through with them.

btw, I just picked up the season 1 dvd and I noticed michelangelo never once used his nunchakus in those bonus episodes. whatever happened to them?
I've never seen those seasons before :-?

Well, the cencers had trouble with mikey's chucks. That's why they were eventually phased out. Apparently there isn't a problem with them now.

The nunchucku ban took effect near the tail end of the third season. Infact, I believe by the time this particular episode was made, they were already getting some grief from people about the weopen (note the scene where Mike was fighting Rocksteady and Bebop, but he couldn't find his chucks).

Hey these first ones are for Shreddette and the second set is for Chibi. As for the Frogs, I have Leatherhead Terror of the Swamps if you would like some screen shots from that. Other than that the only episode I have is with Ghengis and it's Big Bug Blunder. Just let me know. Sorry for the quality, but I took these pictures from my TV with my Digital camera. I figured they would do wll enough. If either of you want mroe pics just let me know I own the VHS. By the way the Lotus pictures are from Farewell, Lotus Blossom. I don't know if they are going to show up, but I'll try anyway. If not just PM me and I'll send them to you that way.
