Hey all, just wanted to inform the uninformed about the results for the TMNT art contest that was hosted by myself at artxilla.com and sponsored by KONAMI!. it was a blast to see some of the stellar entries!

the winner went home with an armfull of TMNT toys, a signed TMNT#1 animated issue by me , a TMNT sketch and an original TMNT PAGE!!!

Wow, that art is amazing! Thanks for the link, LeSean...nice to see such awesome submissions from the fan community. Caravaggio definitely deserved first place =)

That said, I really hope there's no intention of bringing another turtle into the cartoon and/or video game series...

Lots of awesome designs on that page. I would have had trouble picking if I had to vote/choose.

I agree Elite that we don't need another ninja turtle, the four guys we have are great enough already. I really doubt that this contest was run with any intention of using the design for such a thing.

Oh... very cool!

As for the fifth turtle design, I wouldn't worry about it becoming a canon character. It was just a fun chance for people to try some designs. Dreamwave has held contests similiar like there, where you create new character or design. It won't be used in the comic(s), but the prizes and the chance to even have one of their artists make a drawing from it is hard to pass up!
