I remember that many years ago when i played it i alwasy got stuck at the technodrome... I mean i never got inside it. You have to fight with it first but i never beat it..

I've such fond memories of that game, it's definitely my fave along with the first arcade game.
I managed to get to Shredder but couldn't beat him, the technodrome is rock hard.
I wouldn't have gotten that far only I collected about 100 of these bazooka things, that can kill an enemy and who ever is behind him with one shot.
You collect them on the second level though, if you keep on going into the same building again and again the weapon pickup appears everytime.
On the first level if your low on enegy, one of the sewers after Bebop has a pizza in it, if all your turtles need energy, you can change between them and keep entering and exiting the sewer, the pizza will appear everytime.
The way the first level is laid out regards the top view sections, you can skip some of the sewers, the best stratagy when facing a boss is when your current Turtle is low on energy change to another strait away, that way you won't lose him and there could be a pizza around the corner.
Hope that helps!

That game is by far one of the hardest games I have ever played. I couldn't even beat it cheating (because the Rom was corrupt). Very annoying. I just want to see what Shredder looks like. Is that so much to ask? I wish I had a real Game Genie for my NES. Then it would be a snap and I wouldn't get killed by all that darn seaweed!

I used to have the actual Game Genie, which was capable of letting you win TMNT 2: The Arcade Game and TMNT 3: The Manhattan Project, simply by using the codes for infinite lives.
Unfortunatly, the first game didn't really have that option. It would only allow you to be inpenetrable to certain attacks. So trust me, a Game Genie wouldn't help. :tconfuse:

It helped you on TMNT 3, Jeph? Funny...the codebook I had only went up to TMNT 2.

I have never liked the usage of game genie... I have it but i never used it on any tmnt games... Only game i remember using it is super mario bros. 3. Well it was pretty cool tough, that you could change the masp to totally diffrent in SSSUper Mario Bros 1! The level would get all messed up. Too bad that when that happened, and you finished the first level, the game crashed...

I got Game Genie around the same time TMNT 3 came out on the console, so the package had this small codebook. Not only did it have the codes for "THe Manhattan Project" but there were bonus codes for the first TMNT game.

Yeah mine came with a code book too. But it was more fun just put letter randomly and see what happens! Well those things really only worked on SMB1. I still remember the code wfor swimming in the air! It was AASPPPP.
It work on the Pal version, NTC might have other codes...

There was an extended version of the game genie codes every so often with the newest games having game genie codes... I have the codes on my 486 somewhere but that thing is falling apart.
