what bands do you think the Turtles listen to??? im thinkin original Mirage turtles here, as they had the most fleshed-out personalities.....

personally, i think Michelangelo would dig Limp Bizkit... mostly because Mike is my fave turtle and Bizkit is my fave band..... i also see mike listenin to some jazzish stuff and psychadelic rock.

Raph would probably be into punk rock, thrash metal, and hardcore i think.

Leo.... maybe New Age, traditional asian styles, classical, and maybe generic classic rock.

Don would probably like classical, classic rock, and oldtime jazz.

hey hey hey... leave rap alone! that's my main music and em's my main man. some of us just don't have the taste of listening to people mess with a cord on their electric guitar. i really like percussions, and rap uses that alot. plus, some of it sounds like imitation poetry... which i like (the ones without cussing and drugs and negatory schtuff like that)!

Yeah, that sounds pretty close to what it says on their official profiles. You can't always easily guess what kind of music people like. For example, Splinter likes Reggae, which surprised me, but I do think it suits him.

Raph...Death metal, Staind, and Linkin park...I think he'd say Eminem's a pansy.

Mike would like just about anything, from teeny boppers and boybands to Weird Al and Jeff Foxworthy...and probably similar stuff like Raph. Oh, and stuff from Musicals, like Andrew Lloyd Webber, so he could sing stuff while he's cooking to bug his brothers... :D

Don...I see him listening to old rock and stuff, like Chicago, VanHalen, oldies but goodies...Classical, orchestral and techno music.

Splinter and Reggae? I dunno...I'd see him listening to the Japanese music, and some New Age/World stuff too...I could see Leo sneaking through his music. :lol:

Mike liking.... teeny-boppers??? Oh my god, that is lame. And rather typical. You see, most people mistake Michelangelo's emotional/expressive/creative/artistic personality for being 'gay'. Just because the guy is an expressive creative type does not mean he is some kind of non-masculine pussy. Actually, i dont remember him (in the mirage comics anyway) being anymore 'emotional' than the others.

And.... since Mike is the MOST artistic out of his brothers he would most certainly NOT listen to 'anything'. The very fact that he is more artistic would incline him to be MORE discriminating on listening to quality music. I still think he would like Limp Bizkit as that seems to coincide with his personality. And, theyre a great band, too.

Okay....First of all, I'm not the person you should be saying that Mike is 'gay' to...

The reason i say that Mike would like anything, is because i know several artists (including myself) who have a VERY wide range of music they listen to. To have a large range of interests helps give a person opportunities to become creative with new things. If it wasnt for my liking of several Genres of music, most of the stuff i've written or drawn WOULD NOT EXIST.

And if a guy listens to Teenybopper music, that doesnt make them "gay", either...

sorry. let me rephrase.

I have no doubt that Mike, as an artist, would listen and be into the widest range and diversity of genres out of the four of them. However, as an artist, he would also ONLY be into music that was sincere, quality work. The teenybopper stuff doesnt fit that bill (although it can certainly be enjoyable at a certain level).

And, as for the 'gay' bit, i was referring to how so many fans seem to grossly distort Michelangelo's character. For example, because Mike has been shown to have a talent and somewhat of a joy of cooking.... MANY have interpreted that to mean his lifelong passion is the culinary arts and he is a master chef that never leaves the kitchen. This is simply untrue. The closest thing Mike has ever shown to a 'lifelong passion' to is the martial arts.

Because he has been shown to be more sensitive and compassionate than his brothers, fans have sometimes intepreted this to mean he is an ultra-feminine, lovey-dovey type which was NEVER implied in the comics. Because he is portrayed as relaxed, easy-going, and fun-loving people interpret this to mean he is a goofy, 'party animal' type.

The list goes on and on. I hope you get my meaning here. There is a lOT of Freudian projectionism among TMNT fandom as regards Michelangelo (Rapheal, too).

Personally, i think Mike would like very expressive, very creative, unique bands the best: groups like Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Limp Bikzit, Tool, Eminem, DMX, Tupac, and NIN.
