Hey, that was nice!
Do you think you could do that with April, Splinter, Casey, Shredder, and the rest of the cast? I'm sure we'd all love to read them.

Go is an old game (over 4000 years old!) that is played on a board with 9 lines crossing over another 9 lines (sometimes 13x13 lines or 19x19 lines. It kinda looks like a checker board), and the pieces that you play with are white and black stones. The game starts with a clear board. The stones are placed (in turns) in the cross points of the lines (rather than in the squares). Go is a very territory oriented game. You build forts while trying to surround your opponents pieces with your own to capture them.

I play this game every once in a while. It's an awesome game and quite enlightening aswell.

That's cool, Ryo, thanks for sharing!

Wow, Leo likes to draw...come to think of it, I recall him drawing in the old cartoon series...He and Mikey should make comics together. (They'd have to be serious and ninja-related for Leo to agree, though!)

Raph's list makes him look like a thug...he's got more talent than that! I thought he had a thing for martial arts movies....they give Mikey that listing of movies,SF and tv

Very interesting stuff. Shredder has an interesting mix of skills.

Very interesting, but you neglected to include the skill percentiles each character has (has the TMNT RPG himself).

Honestly, there is a lot of good character info in those character profiles that you really can't get in any other medium. Everything from:
- attributes (Physical Strength, Physical Prowess, Mental Endurance, Hit Points, etc.),
- skill percentiles (Pick Pocket, Pick Locks, Escape Artist, Biology, etc.), to
- combat skills (+3 to Strike, +6 to Parry, etc.).

Good stuff, although I think this might be more appropriate in the RPG section.

P.S.: Also, those stats are strictly for the Mirage versions of the characters.

Thankys, Ryo!

Aww, that'd be cool if Shredder played Go. Of course, he'd probably say he "doesn't have time for such foolishness" :P

Thanks everybody.

Heretic888, It's awesome to hear that you have the book too (and I'm asuming that you play or have played the game too).
I was thinking about adding the percentiles but I'm not sure how valid they are. They all run by a system for the purposes of role-playing (although I know that Eastman & Laird helped with the information). I guess I could post them up, but those numbers are based on the turtles first year (1984-1985. The turtles are 15 going on 16). The character skill bios that I posted have actually been updated from the first year, so I'm not sure what the numbers would be now.

Anyway.... You gave me a good idea. I think I'll post the characters stats (maybe even there personality profiles too).

If I add this stuff too, then I would say that this belongs in the RPG Forum, and it would be cool for a moderator to move it. :)

Here are full detailed personal profiles of the TMNT, straight out of "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and other strangeness".

I'll post other character personal profiles later. Enjoy.

Leonardo

In the absence of Splinter, Leonardo is the leader of the turtles.
He is a "take-charge" kind of guy who can size up a situation quickly.
He excels at making plans that are complicated yet cleanly constructed,
and most always work.

He is also a perfectionist; a trait that gets him into trouble.
Leonardo performs his tasks with an efficiency that any man or turtle would be proud of, but there are times that he sees it as a source of shame and a "loss of face". He is always trying to live up to the ideal of his mentor, Splinter. Unfortunatly, he has never really absorbed one of Splinter's most important teachings: that it is honorable to strive for perfection, but alright to occasionally fail to reach that goal.

Leonardo also feels this loss of face when the other turtles do something wrong. He feels responsible for them and their actions. Of coarse, because of this, he goes nuts over Raphael's rages and craziness.

Leonardo is perhaps the smartest of the turtles, at least in all-round intelligence. He is a voracious reader, and has a very good memory.
His favored weapon is the sword, though he is skilled with all weapons and techniques.

Donatello

Donatello is more interested in working out a troublesome computer program than fighting ninja or robot mousers or whatever.
Of all the turtles, he rebels most strongly against killing. In a strange way, he is a pacifist ninja, and while his skills with the staff are highly honed, he would prefer not to use it against a living opponent.

Donatello gets off on gadgets and technology and many times he will sneak out at night and, using his ninja skills of silence and stealth, rummage through the dumpsters of electronics firms, gathering cast-off parts with which to construct his various devices. Although he lacks formal training, he is a natural inventive genius.

Donatello cares a great deal for his brother turtles, but is the least clannish of them. He lives most of his time within his own head, thinking of new things to build.

Raphael

Raphael has some kind of minor insanity that makes him the "crazy" man of the group.
He has problems being controlled and cannot control himself. When agitated, he has a 75% chance of going into a "berserker" rage. It takes several moments for him to recover himself. He's fine most of the times, but when he gets into a berserker rage, watch out! This makes him an awesome fighter, but also a little hard to live with.

He doesn't like this side of himself, but he can't yet control it.
It is like a demon living inside him, barely kept in check. A large part of why Raphael hasn't yet killed himself, or any of the other turtles is due to his friendship with Michaelangelo. Michaelangelo is also Raphael's main sparring partner. It is Michaelangelo's great love of life and fun that acts as a balance to Rapael's anger and depressions.

Raphael wants to make himself a better warrior. He pactices alot, but he can't seem to keep from doing dangerous or foolhardy stunts. Though skilled in all ninjutsu techniques, his favourite weapon is the sai. He uses the paired sai in leap attacks as a master of Ninjutsu. As a fighter, Raphael is neither the most skillful (Leonardo is better) or the most talented (Michaelangelo is phenomenal), but he is the most deadly Ninja Turtle because of his raw energy.

Michaelangelo

Michaelangelo is the fun-loving turtle. He lives to enjoy life.
He tends to hang out with Raphael rather than Leonardo or Donatello because they're too serious for him. He has a gentle, though mischievous nature and is not above playing practical jokes.
He reads comic books and science fiction and likes to sneak into movies thearters when they are playing double bill of "ET" and "Robin Hood".
Michaelangelo would also be the Ninja Turtle most likely to play in a role-playing game. In short, he enjoys practicing his ninja skills, but also enjoys just fooling around.

Michaelangelo also likes to cook and it is he who prepares most of the turtle's meals. In many ways he is the hedonist and a sensualist, appreciative of pleasures of the flesh.

Michaelangelo likes rough and tumble stuff and gets into a good fight almost as much as Raphael. He enjoys sparring, and he and Raphael do alot of this. He doesn't work as hard at the art of Ninjutsu as any of the others (exept perhaps Donatello), but his naturally high ability in reflexes and agility more then makes up for his lack of disipline.
Michaelangelo is adept at all ninja skills, but favors a pair of nunchaku.

I can if you want, but I personally think it'd be fine to stay in TMNT Gen. I mean, how many of these people would have even seen this interesting stuff in the RPG forum?
